I like the Live one at the download festival because it gets ppl so hyped, especially when he yells "jump the fuck up". I also love the 360 degree drums. I guess it's more about the atmosphere than the song for me.

2002 disasterpiece tour is a better quality and has the same hype

The reason they wear masks is because in the beginning they didn’t want to be famous they didn’t want people to recognize them. They wanted you to hear their music for what is was and not to put a face to it. It was like a middle finger to the music industry for making everyone into a manufactured image and a product hence the barcodes on their jump suits.

Corey Taylor (lead singer for slipknot) has also said in interviews the mask to him is away to let the animals out. Let the person out that you cant do in everyday life. Not exactly quoted but best way I can explain it. But yes the band wear that mask so they didn’t know who there was. They have everyone in a the band a number 0-8.

The person in the rubber suit represents feeling trapped in a relationship, so the "anxiety" she felt when watching the vid is fitting. It's what the song is about too.

Been with these dudes since 99’ loved em from the beginning.. Not counting MFKR.. But as far as their masks, I’ve never heard of the “stankface” stuff.. From my understanding via interviews and having the pleasure of meeting the band a couple times is that the masks are their external representations of themselves aka how they feel inside at that time. For example I believe when clown wore the all black clown mask he was dealing with the passing of his mother. Each of them make their own mask and again it’s their interpretation of how they feel inside. Correct me if I’m wrong if someone knows or have heard something different. I know for sure the knot community will for sure let me know lol.

The masks are a representation of who they really are on the inside. However, they started wearing them, along with the jumpsuits, to be known for the music, not how they look. In fact, clown was the first one to ever start wearing a mask, and the rest of the band took to it.

Been a fan of Slipknot since way back in the late 90s. Just saw them in concert a couple weeks ago. They are amazing at what they do.

5:55 to 6:18 sorta has hidden lyrics behind the lyrics. The first word to each line says, Why Did I Not See Your True Face Until It Was Too Late LIE !! LIE !! Look up the lyrics and you'll see what I mean. Slipknot's music is so much deeper than what's on the surface, it's insane. Great reaction keep them coming 🤘🏼

Slipknot actually started wearing masks because clown (Shaun) showed up in rehearsal wearing a clown mask and they decided to wear masks and jump suits to separate them and other bands, to be anti-industry. Besides that no one knew who they were. Concerts in the 90s a band member could be in the crowd and move around without being hassled
