Vessel writes and performs everything on the albums except the drums. He is an amazing artist. And their drummer is top tier also.

Take a deep dive girl, Sleep Token is one of the most creative, artistic and skilled new bands out there. If you like this, you will like all their music. Jump in head first, you won't be disappointed!

The character depicted is Azrael. The angel of death. Or just death. Most don't know the actual lore because the church doesn't like associating death with angels. They're holding a scythe. It's how he reaps souls which are actually what the orbs are supposed to be. So if you ever wondered what you look like outside your body there you go.

Somebody broke Vessels heart. He poured it all out for us to see. It's amazing how such heartache can be transformed into something as beautiful as this song.

Only been a Sleep Token fan for about a year but this song is their best track. They cover an insane range of sounds and have an amazing selection of sounds. This whole album will take you on a journey that’s unexpected but wholly uplifting.

I’m sure comments will inform you but this the last of the trilogy. Such a lovely rock band. A love story lyrically. This last album really pushes the music element with tons of genres. This band is basically a concept album spawning from a dream. The “god of sleep” gave his message to vessel who writes everything. Take me back to Eden is the final frustration of the love story and then Euclid is the acceptance basically with tons of call backs from other songs.

I can confirm that he is none of the names you listed. Do *not* try to reveal their identities - that's not only a huge breach of privacy that they actively try to protect but also a huge sleight to the fans who want it kept secret. It also creates trouble for the people who are suspected to be members of the band but aren't because people keep trying to approach them about it. Please edit that whole section out. Edit: I saw your comment (which wasn't pinned when I wrote this) addressing the situation and lots of fans, myself included, will appreciate you editing that section out.

I haven't listened to a whole lot of Sleep token but what I have has been pretty epic. When I seen you were doing this I was like she's gonna love this. You would like there song The Summoning as well. It's like 3 songs in one kinda like this. Great video!

Loved the reaction, a bit bummed about you revealing the identity. But hey, we live and we learn. What makes Sleep Token even more beautiful is them chosing to make us focus on their music and art and not on them as individuals. That's why many of us fans are kind of protective of their identities, it's out of respect for them and their music. Hope you get to enjoy more songs from them, they're in a league of their own!

Agree with a few others. You really need to delve into this band to get a full understanding of their artistry. They are a one of a kind and so brilliant. Thank you, for posting this as they are currently one of my most listened to bands. I love these guys. The HUGE guitars, beautiful colorful lyrics, amazing blending of styles, and so much more. They are just a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention some amazing musicianship going on. Listen to Acensionism on their new album and also the live version of Blood sport, which is a piano ballad. Really awesome stuff! Thanks for the reaction!

In other songs, Vessel illustrates the depression and suicidal tendency of "her", she also has some anonymity. So her drifting past the fog is this reflecting on her being a lost soul, and likewise, he is also drowning in this relationship with her. As he can see things "crystal" clear, he still breathes it in and sinks to the bottom. He spends the next couple of verses changing his tone, like varying attempts to placate their relationship. A little soft, a little sweet, just keeping it real. However, it seems that none of it works with her, and he boils over in the end. The entire time, pleading to return to eden. Just wanting to go back to a happier time when they first started. The frustration in his voice as he's screaming at the end. He'll do anything to go back there and he knows it never will. It's a beautiful song that gives me chills and a twinge behind my eyes every time I listen to it. I've listened to all three albums incessantly over the years so there is this journey you're brought on that unfolds and ultimately culminates as this album comes to a close. Like a book. The final chapter, Elucid, brings it to a close. You should have a listen.

Like your video, didn't like the part when you talk about Vessel's identity... it's easy to find it, we know. But to the people who really like the band, it's something very delicate. There's only one interview with Vessel, back in 2016 I believe, and he said that their identities aren't important, the music is the focus. So if you could edit your video, and delete that part would be much appreciated for the fans.

I hate to say this but the summoning is the one song by them that is over hyped and I wish people would let that one have a lil space cuz they have so many other songs that deserve attention. And are actually better songs. It was just the one that put the spell on everyone and got them the attention they deserve now everyone needs to hear all the other amazing music they create.

Very ethereal and melancholic.

Sleep Token are pretty incredible. Not everyone's cup of tea, but their work spans so many genres, it's made them viral.

I feel like he gives every angel a personality

I feel like this song strongly depicts the different stages of grief, but in the same token, stopping yourself from being able to start the process of healing while dealing with this grief. Very early on this year I lost my younger brother and father to a drive-by shooting, not even a month later after that I lost my best friend to stage four brain cancer, and then a few months later after that, my cat got turned into a chew toy by none other then my mothers youngest of three greyhounds. I've been through all the levels of internal anger and rage, I've let out my sorrow time and time again due to all of this loss with using alcohol to try and numb it all away. It's absolutely horrible, and I was never given ample time to cope properly with it all either, that is, until this song dropped. Take Me Back To Eden allowed for an internal door to open inside my mind, only having to listen to the song once all the way through for that to happen. Hearing the words being sung in this masterpiece of a song caused for all of my walls to fall down around me and shatter into pieces, as I was finally allowed to begin my journey of acceptance, so that I could slowly but surely allow myself to heal, one fragile puzzle piece at a time. Not even my own personal therapist I've been seeing for well over twelve years now could get me to this point of starting to heal bit by bit, yet this song did exactly that, with only one solid listen.

They are so contemporary, yet there is something absolute primeval about this music, I think that‘s the very reason it does hit so many of us right in the core. Very odd comparison here, I know, but for me that‘s just like with music from Aurora, Eivør, Heilung and so on. Great reaction Rosalie! Love Sleep Token! I believe that the Angel is the guardian of the gateway to Eden. When Adam and Eve were cast out of Eden, an Angel was assigned the task of guarding the gateway so that no human or animal may ever enter again. If you notice, the scythe is one of the hands of the Angel but there is an apple in the other. One representing the betrayal of eating from the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and the scythe representing punishment and death because of that choice. That’s the way I interpreted the figure. I think Sleep Token is using it as a metaphor to describe the loss of a special relationship and a special time and innocent place in that relationship and the inability to return to that person and place and time. You should definitely check out more… especially from the new album. I would recommend “Ascensionism”, “The Summoning”, “Chokehold” and “Granite”.

His creative use of breath, attacking and releasing notes, is evident in “The Summoning.” This band’s music is rich with dynamics, nuances, and contrast. I hope you check out more sleep token. I wish you were a little more focused on the music you seemed to be spending the entire reaction reading articles on who vessel is. The thing about the anonymity is they want the focus to be on the music not who they are. You are the first reactor I’ve seen actually say his name, everyone else has respectfully just referred to him as vessel as that’s what he wants. Hopefully the fan base doesn’t turn you off of the band though.

I like your reaction and passion for the song but with all due respect you shouldn’t have dropped that bombshell out of respect for Vessel who wishes to remain anonymous. Yes it’s not that hard to find out but most Sleep Token fans who have listened to them for a longer period of time know who he is but don’t talk about it so I’m sorry but that’s not cool. To be fair he has been dropping hints on this album but those are probably a nod to those who have carried his secret as more recent listeners wouldn’t know. Anyway it’s great that you like Sleep Token, they are a special band with whom I have an emotional connection which I have never had with another band. The community surrounding Sleep Token are especially passionate and loyal to the band. They are an amazing band. With that loyalty comes commitment to the wishes of Vessel who has been very clear about wanting to keep his identity anonymous. Love your reactions. Love your insight. But on this one, I think that going against the wishes of the band with the anonymity was not very cool. It is easy to google. The answer is available if sought. But baking that into the video, even with a "spoiler alert,"... just... not cool.

Sigh.. People with their "protected" spaces. Dude, the rest of the world doesn't have to abide by it. Get real. I'm a huge huge fan of this band just look around in comments for their reactions for years. This was always inevitable once they got this big. It doesn't mean I go around spoiling who they are even though I've known for a couple of years, but not everyone is going to feel the need to be their marketing team. They call schools a safe space but shootings still happen. Don't be impractical. Not everyone's going to be all like.. man,I really have to look after the best interests of sleep token.

No need to mention their identities. They like to remain anonymous so please dont mention it.

The band has explicitly and politely requested that people respect their anonymity. Outing them is just rude. Even if that information is somewhat easy to find on the Internet, that’s still a completely different thing from someone adding to the “Hey, I know the band wishes to remain anonymous, but f*** what they want!”

@@hitman9198it’s not about whether or not you CAN find out. It’s about new people encountering the band in a way where it isn’t even their choice to decide whether or not they want to respect the wishes of the band when they aren’t even aware that the band would like to remain anonymous.

If you're interested in looking at other Sleep Token songs, I have a couple recommendations. I think the songwriter/s is especially good at using lyricism to create a vivid image, sometimes rather complicated, but then also relate that image to a deeper emotional meaning. 1. Euclid. A big theme I'm seeing in Sleep Token is this idea of fate, or some kind of grand design, connecting two people for whatever reason. Usually with toxic results 😂 This song happens to be an exception. It's beautifully hopeful and melancholy at the same time. 2. Mine. I love the almost naive, lullaby quality to the music, while the lyrics might suggest a bit of obsession lying just underneath. 3. Sugar. I think of this as the more toxic cousin to "Mine." Or possibly an evolution to the relationship. 4. The Love You Want. This one happens to have a beautiful video to go with it, and is absolutely ripe for the picking as far as analysis. This is a perfect example of the singer's quite uncanny ability to use powerful lyrics and melody, but also command of the cadence and rhythm of the words combined with the rest of the music that really creates something special. There are many more potential examples, but these are off the top of my head. I hope you continue to enjoy the band, obviously they've connected with me in a big way. I love music, and these guys make damn good music, period.

😂 ok, and a couple bonus tracks I just thought of. Play "The Night Does Not Belong to God" before "Euclid." "Night" is the first track from the first album of the trilogy, and the latter is the final track from the final album in the trilogy. It would be worth analyzing them together. Blood Sport is also definitely worth a listen, both from performance and analysis standpoints. Ok I'm done now

You need to listen to "Euclid" after listening to their song "The Night Does Not Belong to God"... then "Blood Sport (from the Room Below)" It's transformative. This album is the third in an arc that represents death and rebirth, but never seems to have the starting life. Sundowning -> This Place Will Be Your Grave -> Take Me Back to Eden.

Out of respect for the bands wishes, it would be cool if you to remove the last bit of info you dropped. Yes it’s easy to find out but to blatantly call it out is disrespectful. I will sub and like if you edit it out and repost. Love this band.

ST fans know who they are. The music has more of an impact when you don't focus on who made it. WORSHIP

The figures in the videos of TMBTE album are all more or less creepy. The angel-like figure here seems like a merciless monster that lures you in first showing only the head and wings and as you give in to it, more and more ugliness is revealed. One way to look at that is that it's symbolism for a relationship gone awry. And the lyrics certainly lean the same way. We don't know who Vessel is, but listening through this trilogy it's fair to say he has been wounded and scarred in relationships with romantic partners and maybe family, too. The theme of wanting to go back to a toxic relationship because it was so magnificent and beautiful when it started even tho you know the magic is not going to come back and you'll just hurt more goes through many songs in the trilogy.

The religious themes are far and wide between on these songs, so my guess is that the angelic figure is meant as a metaphor for personality and your first experience with them more than a religious stance. But it's clear that whatever the figure is, after hearing the song and seeing them on full light there is a strong sense of warning to avoid them at all costs.

Sleep Token, worships the God of Sleep. Vessel had a dream that told he needed to do this. There is quite a bit of lore behind Sleep Token, actually. For instance they hide numbers in places on their albums that when and together lead places like islands in the middle of nowhere.

She doesn’t know how important it’s been to them. Of course all us ST fans especially who’ve been fans for years get a little heated about it but we should go a little easy on her. She was just ignorant to the situation. She didn’t mean any harm or disrespect over it and I’m sure if she went in knowing this she wouldn’t have done that.

@@Cathpires I hear what your saying, but you don’t know Rosalie. She’s thoughtful, more so than most. If she saw that, she would not still intentionally mention it. I understand the emotional jump to defense for Sleep Token. I have the same attachment to a small handful of groups, and Rosalie is included in that handful. She’ll fix it when she see’s all this.

Guys, calm down. I’m sure she didn’t know not to reveal. I know which article that she found. There is nothing in it that says the band wants to remain anonymous. It was the first thing she saw I’m assuming and just went with it.

If they didn’t want their anonymity they would’ve made official announcement by now. I didn’t wish her any harm but it would be very respectful of her to edit that out if she wants to come off as anything more than a sensationalist. That would earn a lot of points with people that actually care about the boys.

I believe you when you stated that you meant no harm by your revelations. However, your excuse that you did not know the importance of anonymity does not hold water. The very first thing you read out about the band was "Sleep token are an anonymous masked collective of musicians". Which part of anonymous and masked did you not understand? The very fact that it states anonymous should have alerted you to the fact that they wish to remain anonymous and therefore it was not your perogative to unmask them publicly. I have been aware of all the members since 2019, yet have refrained from ever telling anyone as that information was not mine to divulge. Sorry but I have to disagree with you on this and do urge you to remove that part of the video. Surely their identities belong to them and it is their decision when they reveal themselves. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

There's a lot of speculation that is name is Leo Faulkner from a band called Black lit canopy if that's the case he was rocking the Justin Bieber hairstyle for sure but their vocal sound pretty similar and he's also from the UK

it would be great if you didn’t try to reveal who vessel or any of the other members are, bc they want to be anonymous. it’s extremely disrespectful to them for trying to find out who they are, when they blatantly do NOT want to be found.
