yeah its aight..no its great...but umm are you really into santana if youre not asking him to hit EVERY STEP OF THE WAY..its possible no one thinks he'd survive it ..CARAVANSERAI..is 50yrs old and if it was released today with the promotion it was denied to Carlos by his record company. it might jazz ,and rock and latin albums of the year.. and all around album of the year...course i suppose they are all round... like a circle..like um..hmmm nevermind. anyway im still mad that in about 1992 i had maybe 15 different albums and had seen 4 concerts of Santana and end up in the cut bin of tower records where i find the CD bring it home,, in it goes, i start doing stuff ....every step is the last song . and about 20secs in in the room and proceed to stand looking at he cd spin for 9minutes .you b*st*ard record execs..i coulda been hearing this for 20 extra years..So POLO...why ya waiting even 1 extra day lol
"Oye Cómo Va", written in 1962 and originally performed by Tito Puente (born and raised in NYC to Puerto Rican parents) in a cha-cha style. Santana amped it up in a rock style and had a huge hit with it. I saw Tito Puente in concert in the late 1990s and just before he performed his song he told us all that at first he wasn't impressed with Santana's version of it, until the royalty checks started coming in!

I would only add that Tito’s inspiration for this song was the 1957 mambo "Chanchullo" by Israel "Cachao" López. You can watch it on KZread.

Yea, I played that album over and over until it sounded like an old AJ record. I miss LPs. most of my old stuff is digitized now. This song was great in concert.
Abraxis album debuting in 71. Yeah I was around. This album was just insane.

Abraxas is still my favorite lp after all these yrs. Ive seen him twice. Amazing how he tries to play almost every song that everyone loves. Genius and soo professional. Signed his birthday card one of those outdoor concerts. It was around my bday also. Perfect seats. Beautiful night with this amazing artist.

I absolutely adore Abraxis!
A beautiful MUST HEAR Classic from Carlos Santana's younger brother Jorge & His group,, Malo "Suavecito"...R.I.P. Jorge 🙏♥️
Santana is one of a kind and seems to come back every so often with amazing music. This was from the early 70's, but what has followed afterward is also amazing.
"Samba Pa Ti" should be on your Santana Hit Lust my Man, Polo!
I've always been a Santana fan, even though I'm more a rock and metal lover. He is so darned joyful when he plays! From all accounts I've heard, he's a very kind and good guy too.
SAW @ FRAZE Dayton COULDN'T STOP DANCING 💃😄🕊️🎵 His wife played, from Yellow Springs 🌼
I've got the Supernatural album always part of the Playlist in my car. Two of my favorites are The Calling with Clapton and Corazon Espinado.

I played Supernatural to death! Lol
Toussaint L'Overture is my absolute favorite Santana song.
Saw Santana when Supernatural came out. They played the entire thing and went off stage. The "young one" next to me said "Gee...what are they going to play for an encore?" My reply was, "The other30 years of music he has!" Love him and his music.
Seeing Carlos mid June in Atlanta. LOVE HIM! Saw him about 10 yrs ago, too and he didn't even take a break when his band did. Played straight thru for 3 hours!

He's coming to Albuquerque in early September! We got tickets when they went on sale! My 37 year old son is taking me for my birthday! Yes, I raised him right!
Santana always has been and always will be that dude!
This might be the best of Carlos. Perfect song in ever measure
My favorite Santana song!! Gotta get up and dance!! Please do live at Woodstock,Soul Sacrifice! Best live performance ever!! They were sooo young and soo talented!! No computers then!! Thankyou Carlos!!❤️
Santana was a revelation, becoming huge with this sound! Love every nuance, every beat, wanna dance? Ha! We would put the original albums on and on and on! Everybody. And what ENERGY!
Hey Polo ~ I love Carlos! He is the king of Latin funk and Latin rock & roll. Just a master on the guitar. BTW, there are 11 people playing on stage: Lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums, percussion, congas, two horns, keyboards and two backup singers.
Carlos! the king of Sustain! man can hold a note for a week if he wants. so powerful!
Santa has been another favorite during my teen years and early and later adulthood
Carlos Santana has cooperated with so many very different artist like John McLaughlin (Love supreme), John Lee Hooker (Chill out), Buddy Miles (Lava). Different music, same Carlos.
This is my favorite Santana song! It grabs you right from the start & you just start 'groovin'!'
Santana is brilliant. You need to hear his instrumental piece "Aquamarine". If music ever sounded like a color, this is it. It is the only song of his that I listen to on endless repeat. It takes you to another level.
Santana is pretty fantastic. Always smooth. So, talented & they offer such beautiful pieces. Soul Sacrifice from the original Woodstock, is a must view. Thank you so much for sharing this one!
back in the 70s, in the UK, there were 3 albums everyone in their 20s had: Dark Side of the Moon, Tubular Bells, and Santana's Abraxas (where this was originally recorded, 1973).
Hearing the music is the lesser part. Feeling it is the better.
The minute he starts to play, you know it's a Santana song.
I’ve seen Santana back in 1982 at Austin TX🎸
My first cat was named Santana. 😺❤️ Samba PaTi, Hope you're feeling better. Just to name a few. ✌️❤️🤟🥁
Santana was my first concert: June 1967!
Alright...now....here we goooo😊
He and his band are like taking a real long drink of fine wine - fabulous notes!!!
I love Santana .. 'Black Magic Woman' and 'Smooth'
I LOVE Santana! The music feels organic and reminds me of being on the Mayan Riviera. Everything Santana touches is gold. How much Reggaeton style music have you listened to?
Love Santana 😻❤️😻... love Chuck Mangione Quartet. Live 1972🎉 early 70's jazz sound. Great
I've seen him here in Las Vegas and he's still going strong. The House of Blues here is a modest sized venue that he plays frequently. Highly recommend you make a trip to hear him there.

Santana always usually wears a Hendrix shirt here's a big fan of Jimi Hendrix great reaction how about doing smooth with Rob Thomas Carlos plays the guitar
I'll be seeing him in August! I saw him at the Woodstock 50th anniversary show and he was amazing! You should go see him while you have a chance. He's had some recent health issues.
I love this song. I saw Santana live with ZZ TOP and The Steve Miller Band at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.Listen to Santana at Woodstock.. It was really the World's first experience with Santana.. Right before he went on stage he started peaking on LSD. They weren't supposed to perform yet but acts were having issues arriving at the venue due to crowds. So They hit the stage and the World became educated fast.. I've seen BB King,, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Who, Robert Plant,Steve Winwood I've even seen Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Nelson and believe it or not the Digable Planets in their prime. Sooo I figure I'm "Cool like That"... and Santana is up there with all of them. All legendary.. yes and all could do it live.. ❤ keep up the good work Polo. You're killing it.

It would be cool to chat sometime. I'm 57 and have seen and heard alot of music. I made it a point earlier in my life to educate myself with food music and experiences. Everything can't be learned in a book. It has to be heard tasted and felt.. experienced.❤
Herb Albert was another Spanish sounding power. In 1965, his albums outsold the Beatles in the USA.
Was fortunate to have meet him at a practice session in Frisco that I witnessed
two songs by Santana that I have always loved is Samba Pa Ti and Black Magic Woman
Love, love, love this song! Thank you!
Carlos is heaven sent!! So is his band!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Music for a really good feeling.
Excellent song!! Santana is really good.
One, of the Best, pick guitarist's,in my opinion.
seen Carlos Santana at least 5 times in my life.
Havent heard this one in a long time!! Love it. It would be awesome live 💃
Oh yeah! Brings back memories
Every party this plays ! Great tune Polo.
Santana, oh yes
Oh R & B is how my aunt found santana . Or if you lived in SF cruisin the Mission
I love the way you turn up/mix the sound. My jam /
His most known song....i love it!!
'Europa' from Santana's Moonflower album - one of my favourite guitar solos of all time. Also, Miles Davis album Sketches of Spain (his rendition of Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo). Incredible. Whole album though so maybe too long for your show - just for you then if you haven't heard it. Love your work.
"that's so smooth" Polo says... 😉 perhaps you should check out their performance of the track 'Smooth', awesome!
A Santana riff can be picked out of any jam session! The Woodstock appearance was FANTASIC. I'm not sure if Abraxxas is my favorite album or "Supernatural". I lived in a section of Detroit that had many latins and on a hot summer night, dancing on the sidewalk and Santana kicking it out..
Wow,what a performance! I knew the song from Santana´s Abraxas LP from the early 70es.The lyrics simply say something like "Listen how my rythm goes, good for having a good time, baby".I think the first guy to record this was Tito Puente, the king of the drums
Migra Migra, and Black Magic Woman. I saw them in Memphis. Very Nice
"Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" (Live) Jerry Lee Lewis 'Legends Of Rock N Roll' DVD in Rome, Italy
Great vid! His 1977 live version of Europa with Gato Barbeiri is a masterclass. If you get a chance to watch it, check out how the drummer and bassist enter into another world with their playing. Impressive and unforgettable!!

Yes! Europa is so iconic!
Santana did a live album with Buddy Miles that is out of this world. The opening track “Marbles” showcases both of these amazing musicians’ talents. Abraxas has been one of my favorite albums since it first came out. “Samba Pa Ti” is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard.

Put the lights on. Santana
"Europa" Has some of the best guitar riffs you'll ever hear. Outstanding.
Please listen to ( if you haven’t already) War “Cisco Kid” or “Spill The Wine” with Eric Burden. ❤
I been to a Santana concert so I'm older!
Bruh welcome to Santana ❤❤
If you like Santana, you need to check out the Gypsy Kings! Powerful, brilliant singers and instrumentalists.
Yes I love the diverse song keep it up
Great Song 🎵 👌 👏 ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Love Santana! Please check out No One to Depend On. 💜💜🥳🥳
One of the best live performers
Maria Maria❣️ too many great cuts to mention and he has recorded with so many other great musicians. Check out "when you smile" with Patti Labelle😊
Tito Puente composed this song in 1956. It was covered by Santana on the album Abraxas in 1970 and became a worldwide hit.
Thanks. I believe this was my request, although I think the specific live performance I requested was way, way better than this one. Oh well. I think you would probably love his performance of the song "Europa" from the album 'Moonflower.' It's such a beautiful song and you can just hear him crying through his guitar.
❤SANTANA
How can anyone not adore this song and this version of this song? Just perfect.
congratulations on 300,000!
My daddy loved Santana so I grew up with some great music! Yes, I would go see Santana any time! Take my daughters with me.
The first music poster on my closet door - SANTANA! (1970)🤘
Like the way you react to the music you listen to compared to some of the others
Dear Polo, RUN, walk, drive, key in-whatever and wherever you get your tunes and obtain immediately a copy of Santana’s album BLUES FOR SALVADOR. Plug in and let us know what you think. Love your reactions.
Excellent!
Santana has been in my wheelhouse since the 70’s…he has always been great. Bueno Carlos!
Dude I wasn't much of a fan til I saw him and them Its a must feel!!! Go Go great song nice vid kid
Fantastic
Please give a watch & listen to "Singing Winds & Crying Beasts" also from the album "Abraxas" Amazing - the whole album is amazing. One of my favorites!
Try Soul Sacrifice the live at Woodstock version! It will not disappoint. Also...think the Creech and Chong vibe came from the Low Rider, by thr band War feel of this song.
So excited! I have tickets to see Santana in concert in early September! My son is taking me for a late birthday treat! Cross one off my bucket list!
A long time fan of Carlos, esp Oye como va. The Dance Theatre of Harlem's choreographed ballet rendition to Santana's music at the Kennedy Center was spectacular!
Give it up for Dennis Chambers slammin it home with Carlos!.
I saw Santana around 2016, they were great!
Love me some Carlos! Love the Latin sound! Sensual and sexy
Give a listen to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Any song . Pick one, then another………
