When i first heard this song i heard it throught her on the radio and i loved her voice thoe even i didn't pay attention much ti the lyrics but when i saw and heard juan gabriel on that performance i was just in tears i mean wow.

It was actually about Juan grabiels mother. Rocío as much of a legendary queen that she is she is not the original writer/singer. Juan grabiel wrote it as a love omen to his mother. That abandoned him as a child and all throughout his life rejected him
