Bossy boots! 😂 Yes in order but I think its good either way. Listen to each one. It's long to watch all together I find it a lot to take in all together as one. I love when reactors find the hidden gems. Of which there are many. My preference is a mix of the funny ones and the freckled angels too. Welcome to the multitalented genius Ren. This masterpiece is just the tip of the iceberg. A powerful icing on the Ren-cake if you will 😅 He is a relatable voice for everyone dancing in the darkness as he eloquently, with all the authenticity of someone who is painfully familiar with it, lets us know that we are not alone and inspires us to keep dancing. And in doing so, Ren has literally saved lives with his art. I trust that other RENegades will fill you in on his backstory and probably recommend Sick Boi for insight into his frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years. I will just add a suggestion to check out one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. Also if you want to understand the man behind the art (and why we all love him so dearly), check out his 1m subscribers video on defining success. It has been years since I’ve been this excited about an artist and he easily joins the ranks of some of the best musicians/bands of all time. I am completely in awe of Ren’s talent and range of skill and style. I usually avoid reaction videos but watching Ren reactions, it’s often like watching a blind man seeing the sun, the awe and emotions on reactors’ faces.

Ren went years misdiagnosed with Depression bi polar chronic fatigue syndrome he had a recording deal in 2010 why working on his album he got sick and couldn't finish it so they parted ways he move back to Wales he would become bedridden for up 23 hours a day the meds they had him on caused him to have psychosis he got PTSD too but not from the meds it would take years before he would get the right diagnosis he has Lyme disease he has had 2 stem cell transplants done he went so long misdiagnosed he has Brain damage Organ damage Joint damage he in Canada right now getting treatment he has to have IV 5 days a week they put this thing on his head that help open path ways in his brain he take hand full meds 2 times a day he also has ADHD too this was live and one take they had 3 camera set up to get this one take ren play guitar bass drum piano produces his own music mixes his own beats beatboxes sings and can rap he can do any Gener of music

Eddie, glad to see you back to music reactions. I stayed subscribed hoping you would come back and kept watching your movie reactions. Ren is an amazing person, cares about individuals, humanity and the world. I see someone suggested watching his 1M subscribers speech which I think does a lot to illustrate who Ren actually is. Even if you don't react, check it out for your own understanding. A little about Ren - he got sick in late teens, and was diagnosed with mental health issues. After years (13), of pain, and misdiagnosis, he was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. This disease is often fully curable by early treatment but if left untreated the bacteria that cause Lyme can attack many systems of your body, including the skin, heart, nerves, joints and even the brain. He is currently, and has been since Jan 2023, in Calgary getting treatment for Lyme disease damage. Also, in his late teens, his best friend committed suicide by jumping off a bridge, I think in Wales, while Ren was running to try to stop him. This event had a profound effect on Ren and he has some songs that talk about/allude to, his friend Joe. Ren is Welsh, but he actually lives in Brighton, England. He busked with his band, The Big Push. If you want to hear them, my suggestion is the "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" medley to start with. He also collaborates with other artists, my favourite are his collaborations with Chinchilla, a female artist he calls his musical sibling. Of those, my favourite is "How to Be Me". Ren is not tied to one genre. He considers his genre to be "Bardcore". One of his greatest pieces of art is "The Tale of Jenny & Screech" (Full). It is difficult to listen to this trilogy but unfortunately, it is true to life. I am a loyal Ren fan and I am happy to welcome you as you tunnel down the Ren rabbit hole.

What a great comment @darleendionne6403. Just wanted to let you know Ren got his diagnoses of Lyme Disease in December 2015, and his 1st stem cell transplant some months later. Of course he was still in pain and struggled a lot until recently. We all wish him to get to 100% ❤❤

As a fellow Newfoundlander and Renegade, I have recommended this song at least twice and an so, so, happy that you did it. Hopefully, you will continue down the rabbithole. His entire catelogue is pure Gold. Yay Eddie! You found Ren! When I saw you were posting again (missed your PTX reactions!), I was hoping you would come across Ren. My absolute favourite artist. I fell down the Ren rabbit hole a year ago, and I haven't looked back. Pick a genre, and Ren has most likely done it. He raps, Sings, plays guitar (acoustic, electric AND bass), plays the piano, writes all his own stuff (music and lyrics), beat boxes, produces and directs his own videos (with some help from his friends. Just... everything. And he's totally independent. You are going to LOVE him. Solo stuff, collaborative stuff, and stuff with his band 'The Big Push'. All fantastic! Money game part 1 ,2 and three being the best Chalk outlines, Fred again, sevin sins , sick boi…..oh man there are so many . He changes everything up each time it’s incredible . Tale of Jenny and screech including violets tale (full in sequential order for a major twist) Ren was misdiagnosed and treated for mental health issues while all the time it was Lymes disease. It destroyed important neural pathways . He got worse and worse until one day they figured out what was going on. He’s been coming to Canada for treatment for months at a time where he writes and produces his own stuff. Without a label and in most cases it’s one continuous shot live !! 🙂🇨🇦🍻

Ren is a delight, and a genre unto himself. He does use religious imagery, but culturally, not evangelically. This piece is really in the realm of performance art. Done 4 full times in one take, he picked the best, and this is that one. And yes, he struggles with misdiagnosed Lyme disease that became a nightmare.

Very nice reaction, very pure. I've been addicted to Ren ever since I heard this song a few months ago. His new album is insane. You should check out "Illest of our time" from Ren. It's amazing. Also if you're into story telling you really should check out Fade in/ Fade Out from Nothing More. It's a tear jerker but it's amazing. When I look at this live performance, I see it as the intro and start of creativity up thru the yodel. It is then interrupted by doubt, and the proverbial curtains part, and we witness the internal conversation between the 2 sides. it culminates in doubt declaring it's existence is in everyone and is everywhere and an individual is helpless to prevent that. Then hope steps up and helps return Ren to be distant and still, and states his ever persistence and presence as well. "We are coin of two different sides." The creativity is then allowed to continue (back to the yodels). This time, however, both sides are present, as indicated by the set lights flashing (they were not in the first yodel). The poem at the end is part of the performance in every version I've heard of it. What I get most from that poem is the first line: "When I was 17 years old, I shouted out into an empty room, into a blank canvas, that I would defeat the forces of evil." I feel this shows how we do not start with the life experiences to understand the implications of creating balance within ourselves. We have naive expectations of black and white, good and bad, positive and negative. Meanwhile, we miss the importance of recognizing grayness. "We must not forget, that we are human beings." My final thoughts are that navigating through life is a balancing act of that coin of 2 different sides. The expectation of either extreme (such as total salvation or absolute corruption) are deceptive, in that there will be internal struggles in everyone's lives at some point in time. Growth, development, and teachings are tools to give the individual to create that balance, allowing movement forward, rather than any other direction.

So happy youve gotten to Ren. Hes art personified. Renegades will be incoming to escort you through the rabbit hole which is an amazing trip.

Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole! I have yet to find a Ren song that I don't love! For story telling check out the Jenny & Screech trilogy. Hip hop genesis or hunger or what you want Money game 1,2,&3 Anything with Big Push. They have a lot of street footage from busking. His lives with Chinchilla are haunting and beautiful. His stuff with Sam Thompkins is incredible. I mean really pick one and be surprised because you NEVER know what to expect from Ren. Ren does everything from rock to hip hop to reggae to being a modern day Shakespearian bard with his story telling. I've said before Ren is capable of breaking you and fixing you in one song and has some deep messaging in his music. Enjoy the ride this should be fun to watch!

As a Renegade I Love seeing people experience Ren for the first time. Enjoyed your reaction and subbed for more Ren. When asked what genre Ren's music is the only answer I can give is "Yes". As far as his backstory, Ren suffered severe health problems that were misdiagnosed as mental health issues such as bipolar disorder psychosis & chronic fatigue syndrome for many years. When in fact he was suffering from the effects of Lyme's disease. He has been undergoing constant treatment since the correct diagnosis. There is a ton more to his story which he is very open about and I recommend reading more about him. Let us know what genre you want to hear and we can recommend a Ren song for you. His talent seems limitless and he supports reactors. it is something of a rite of passage for reactors to listen to the tales of Jenny and Screech next (be sure to pick the 13 minutes version that also includes the third chapter of this triplet) Sick boi is also a valid alternative, if you want to delve more into Ren's battles with his health. I am sure there will be people telling you all about how he struggled with years of undiagnosed/misdiagnosed Lyme's disease and its consequences. Musically, you can't really go wrong with Ren, depending on your tastes. He does Reggae, Rap, Folk, Rock, Metal, Musical Theatre, covers, busking, funny, dramatic, introspective, social commentary.. solo, in duets, with a band... and he does it all extremely well. other titles that are worth checking out? Great reaction! I won't repeat all the superlatives here, they're all facts, but a good follow up to react to is tbe song Sick Boi. It's the title track to his HipHop album that he dropped right after Hi Ren. (made it to #1 on the UK charts). Hope to see another reaction. 😊

Welcome to the world of Ren. A rollercoaster ride through emotions, wisdom and musical genres. Ren Eryn Gill was born in Wales in 1990 and grew up in Brighton. He studied music performance at Bath Spa University. In 2009 he became seriously ill and had difficulty attending lectures. In 2010, he was signed to Sony Records. However, as his health continued to deteriorate, he had to terminate the contract. Ren is a multi-instrumentalist and producer. He sings, raps and writes his songs, lyrics and video scripts himself. Today he is an independent artist. In October 2023, his album "Sick Boi" was number one in the British album charts. And Yes, it's his true story: Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led to him suffering from psychosis. It was not until seven years later that a doctor in Belgium finally diagnosed him with autoimmunity and Lyme disease, which led to brain, organ and joint damage as well as PTSD. After stem cell therapy in the United States, his health improved considerably. However, he continues to suffer greatly from his illnesses. He has been undergoing treatment in Canada for several months now.

Welcome to the REN rabbit hole! Definitely keep checking out his music, there is literally no bad choice. You will get a different version each time, he's literally been called a different human being each time. Recommendations: Tales of Jenny & Screech (full trilogy, you'll know becuase it's 13 minutes long), Sick Boi, Animal Flow and Murderer. Those are my favorites
