As I wrote under the previous reaction to Metallica, you should see the performance of Creeping Death at a concert in Moscow in 1991. This is the most lively, aggressive and powerful performance I have seen since my life. It will definitely blow your mind

Metallica is the band that brought me to metal about 30 years ago. Their first 5 albums are timeless. And "Creeping Death" is one of their greatest songs, and one of the greatest metal songs in general, ever. I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again. It blew my mind, too, back then. So, it's nice to witness your journey with Metallica and Metal at all. Greetings from Germany, Mate.

If you're ready for a full album, I'd recommend doing them in release order starting with Kill 'Em All to hear where it all began (although it does sound a lot more raw than the stuff you've heard so far, so maybe you're better off just reacting to one song first before you try the album). If it's a choice between Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets, I'd go with Ride first, even though I prefer Puppets, so you can see how they progress from one album to the next. Don't sleep on ...And Justice For All though. That's another banging album.

I can say that about a lot of music, but you do have to appreciate how well they put music together and mesh! 9:38 The ‘80’s had a very unique way of doing metal! Thrash is so unique! I didn’t get into it in the ‘80’s, but it hit me with a vengeance in the ‘90’s!

Man, i love it when young people discover Metallica, or metal music in general, for the first time and realize how amazing this type of music is. You' re making the expierience we made when we first listened to them. I belong to the younger generation of Metallica fans (i'm 24 years old), but i started to play the guitar when i was 6 and started listen to Metallica when i was 10. This year two dreams of mine became true: I bought a Gibson Explorer, the guitar James played in the 80s and i went to a Metallica concert for the first time😍 If you want to expierience what James is able to do with his voice, i recommend to listen to the following live performances: 1. Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Seattle '89 A ballad style song (like Fade to Black) from the Master of Puppets Album. He puts so much emotion and agression at the same time in this version. Better than the studio version in my opinion. 2. Harvester of Sorrow, Moscow '91 From the ...And Justice for All Album. Agression and energy. Absolutely badass.

This is a live show staple, as you saw in the Russian clip. I saw them on the And Justice For All tour twice, and for the show they headlined, this song was exceptionally insane......AWESOME to be in an arena and having everyone screaming, "DIE! DIE! DIE!"

At the other show, which was the first show of the Monsters of Rock tour that year, I was in the front row and Jason Newsted threw water in my face (per my request)

It's nice to hear that you will be listening to albums from now on. It is a whole new level of taking the music in with its own ups and downs and time to breathe... There are not too many conceptual albums where all the songs are connected and are serving as parts of the same story, but those albums are out there. As to bringing your girlfriend into the reaction... I will be completely honest, I generally do dislike reactions where there is more than one reactor. But definitely try it if you want - it may work for you very well. I have only recently discovered your channel and subscribed and thus I never knew that you grew up with Nu, Alternative and Grunge. That's really cool. No wonder that you like Metallica. The whole difference between many of the 80s bands and those genres from the 90s is the shift from a somewhat detached storytelling toward more personal and emotional one. I sometimes even think that bands like Metallica were the first herald of this change. But of course both trends are still going and cross-poletating right now and you can find very personal lyrics even in the more traditional genres. Which bands did you grow up with? Would you be interested in reacting to more bands of those genres? Because I am sure that I can recommend at least a couple.

I listened to a lot of Nirvana growing up. Linkin Park was also one of my favourites. I’ve heard some Guns n roses songs, rage against the machine, Limp Bizkit, Korn. There the only ones I can think of off the top of my head

@@MollyBoyTV Well, if you will decide to do it (maybe as bonus videos or something because those are unlikely to bring you new viewers, but you can always listen to those band on your free time) my recommendations would be: Unjust - It's Not Enough Breed 77 - Blind Ill Niño - How Can I Live Incubus - New Skin Thorn.Eleven - Junk Бритва Оккама - Трижды раз Guano Apes - Lords of the Boards Disturbed - The Night System of a Down - (literally anything =) The last three are likely to bring you some viewers btw - I was roughly going from obscure to the most well known bands in the world. And by the way. I have a feeling that you will LOVE 90s Metallica. Older fans tend to dislike the change, but the band has kept on trying new things. It didn't stop playing good music after the 80s. In fact, their 90s stuff is what brought me to the band in the first place. They have even recorded a nu/alternative album in 2003 believe it or not. And a person can appreciate extreme, traditional, modern and prog/avant-garde stuff at the same time no matter what people will tell you ;)

First Metallica 12 inch I ever bought in 1984. Difficult to understand now how different they were to everyone else back then. Also think Blitzkrieg is on the B-side which is awesome.

Answering your question, which album to listen to in full is the very first, I would recommend listening to Kill 'Em All. You haven't reacted to the songs from this album yet, but this album is the very first in the metallica discography and is considered a classic of thrash metal. This is where metallica started its journey. There are a sufficient number of very good songs on this album (all)
