A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZread. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZread I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZread won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZread channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

In what aspect, how so? Every artist is different, so that can be said about them all. A great singer in the technical aspects, but she rarely made the song cry for me. She emotes well, but I haven't ever been moved to tears by her, in the way some other artists can do for me. Shewas great, but certainly not the greatest. She was heavily influenced by Whitney Houston who remains unmatched.
@oh6777
3 жыл бұрын
@@Msboochie2 That is false. You're a Whitney fan so it's clear that you're being biased. Mariah Carey was not heavily influenced Whitney. Of course she respected the talent and person that Whitney was and they were friends but Mariah never mentioned being heavily influenced by Whitney. Also, just because you're biased, your opinion automatically goes out the window because it's clear that you are no familiar with Mariah's catalogue. From her ballads, hit records, deep album cuts and b sides...the emotion rings. You can feel every word she sings and that is why she was the highest selling female artist of the 90s and one of the top 5 highest selling female artists of all time. From a technical standpoint and from pure artistry, Mariah is the greatest vocalist of all time. A woman who writes/co-writer, co-produces and arranges her own music...that is a voice and artist. Mariah Carey remains unmatched..she is the total package. Love Whitney and RIP to a phenomenal voice.

Probably the most beautiful song ever written and was sang by some of the best voices to ever sing.
This is such a beautiful , sad song. You are spot on about singers being emotional in the 90s. In fact even singers prior to this decade sang with emotion. Most singers had to sing live for the record companies to give them a contract. They also had to perform live without any added effects. That is not the case with a minority of people in the music industry now.
There’s an acappella version of this song that they re-recorded, and it is 🔥!
I have always loved this song, but it is especially more meaningful now that I have a loved one that is no longer here with us.
You need to hear "Ready or Not" by After 7 and "One Last Cry" by Brian McKnight!!
Also Boys ll Men's " End of the Road". So beautiful. Those boys had the most beautiful, perfect harmony.
Please do her version of I’ll Be There- Unplugged. So good!
You HAVE to listen to "Motown Philly" by Boyz to Men...it's upbeat and showcases their harmonies on an upbeat track! Lovin it James!
Mariah Carey is the greatest female vocalist in my opinion.
Please react to Boyz2men-end of the road, Motownphilly, On bended knee

A rare & most powerful song that only gets better with age even tho it was quite the phenomenon upon it's release ... Both Boyz & MC never better than together on this still blazin' song!! ,🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This song was played at a lot of funerals back in the day.
I played this son at my son's funeral,,, he had over 1200 people at his 1-day wake, killed by a drunk driver, my poor son, it was appropriate
Love this song 🔥🔥🔥
This song really hits home. I lost my fiance on Thanksgiving of 2019, she was 29. This is one of the songs I listened to to get me through it.
Loved your reaction. This song spent 16 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming the longest-running number-one song in the chart's history at the time, a record held for 23 years. Billboard also ranked it as the ninth best charting single of the 1990s. Mariah is a legend. Her career/achievements are unmatchable. She truly inspired a whole generation of singers. From Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Kelly Rowland, Bruno Mars, Pink, Mary J Blige, Brandy, Missy Elliott, Nelly Furtado, Lady Gaga, Kate Perry, Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Leona Lewis, Sam Smith, Jojo, Jordin Sparks, Justin Bieber and the list goes on. I mean even the Legendary Stevie Wonder. Who said “When people talk about the great influential singers, they talk about Aretha, Whitney and Mariah”. Not to mention having 19 #1 hits on the Billboard hot 100 (Most by any solo artist in history) and being one of the best selling artist of all-time. She is more than just whistle notes. She creates her music. Writes her songs. She has actually Written or co-written most of the songs that has ever appeared on her albums. And is acknowledged by the World Music Awards, as the biggest-selling recording artist of the Millennium (1990-1999). Five-time Grammy Award Winner. She’s just one of the greatest female vocalist of all time. Could you please react to 10 times Mariah Carey forgot she was human?
You young ppl are sleeping on Mariah. Her music is wayyy better than your faves of today. She’s a total musical package.
Please go down her full catalog. She hit the world like a storm, nobody has ever sounded like her & never will.

She wrote this song for her Past Collaborator named David Cole from C+C music factory who died for an illness and then AIDS after contacted by people on January 24th,1995 at age 32
Every time I hear this song I tear up soon as I hear the intro. This is a good song to listen to when we need a good cry & release .
Music from the 80s and 90s is the BEST ERA OF MUSIC EVER....PERIOD
Back in the nineties, artist had to really be able to sing, as there was no autotune. And Mariah (along with Whitney) was definitely one of the great voices of the nineties. And Boyz2Men were definitely a class of their own as a vocal group. This Duett (can you call it that? Collaboration maybe) is definitely one of the treasures/masterpieces of the mid nineties and will have its place in music history.
Yes- there is a live version, and Mariah sounds even better in the live version. Incredible song sung by incredible artists. Thanks for your reaction!
Featuring the greatest living female and male vocalist, Mariah and Wanya. And that's not a slag against the rest of Boyz 2 Men. They are also incredible, Michael McCary is the bass singer every bass singer aspires to be. I'm one of them.
This song gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it (in a good way), especially when Wanya starts singing.

People usually say this because they don't understand the artistry and versatility it takes to transform as an artist while also becoming who you are as a person. Mariah's best album is Butterfly in many people's opinions, because it gives us insight into who Mariah is at heart and as an artist. Combine beautiful vocals with superb rnb stylings, production combined with hip hop influences and you have a woman who is showcasing her freedom and highlighting the art of black music. I'm not sure why people love to lower her later work or say her earlier music was her best...when she's never been off ever in her career. All of her musical eras are great. From the heavy gospel, soul and contemporary rnb of her early years to laying the foundation to later years with more mid 90s type smooth rnb and then graduating into a lot of hip hop influences combined with your typical rnb sound. It's all amazing.
Other mariah carey songs to check out emotions, vision of love, without you, someday, I'll be there and hero just to name a few. Boyz II men songs to check out end of the road, water runs dry, I'll make love to you, hard to say goodbye to yesterday, motown philly
90s music and the years prior had soul their songs, all genres but especially RnB ❤❤❤

Before Gangsta Rap took over, people used to love singers who sang about positive things, they sang in harmony and had to actually have talent. The 70s, 80s and 90s where a fantastic time to grow up. Even though times were still tough, people found solace in music. I don't find peace or solace in much of the music today---it seems all anger and no positivity. At least I think that's how my generation feels
My big brothers burial song. Still moves me every time I hear it ❤️❤️❤️💔😢😢❤️

“I just started listening to Boyz 2 Men not even a few weeks ago.”. My mouth hit the floor, lol.
