Even Lucas Inutilismo in the 2021 video paid tribute to her when the video ends and the credits begin, the instrumental music that plays is by Marília Mendonça. She was and still is huge in Brazil, unfortunately she died in a plane crash. The style of music she sings is called “Sofrência” which can be directly translated to “suffering” but it is more related to heart breaking, because the lyricism is often around breakups and cheating, it is a subgenre of Sertanejo which is Brazilian country music. It is not my cup of tea but I can appreciate her work. Regarding to Sepultura, it started with the Cavaleira bothers, but after many fights they left.

Marília Mendonça is just a genius. She composed hundred of songs since young age. In the beginning she was too young to sing and gave away many hit later she started to sing her own songs.

"Como Nossos Pais" by Elis Regina is my favorite song from Brazil, it has a strong message and the singer is amazing!

Someone probably already mentioned this but the lyrics are 100% wrong, I believe your youtube translator at the time was trying to catch english words directly (expecting the person to be speaking english) and not portuguese ones, so it was just spitting the closest sounding english word to what she said (which was in no way related to what she said in portuguese).
