Ex pat American here, Maneskin is Italian from Rome. You should also check out their cover of Beggin' or their Italian songs Vent'anni, Torna a Casa, La Paura dell Buio or Coraline - but find one of the videos with English subtitles because the lyrics are really deep/awesome. You can also look for for their multi song concert at Radio Italia Live.

Nice reaction by the way :-). When I first got on the Maneskin train 6 weeks ago I saw other people saying that they don't have any bad songs - and 6 weeks later I can say that for me that I haven't heard a bad song yet. You can find the Radio Italia Live and several other concerts and live performances on KZread to check for yourselves. All four members are really talented and more importantly they blend together super well.

This is a band that gives its best live, no autotune, no boring computer-built songs, no artificial dancers' show, no stupid lyrics, no trendy music of the moment, only 4 very young talented musicians (20 - 22 years old), their instruments, their lyrics, their music, their voice, their fashion style ....................... this is the real music, the real and good music, everything else is great marketing.

Måneskin (pronounced like Moh-nei-skin) is a band from Italy. They are not new, but they blew up this May after winning Eurovision song contest. Btw, Spanish and Italian belong to the same language group (Romance languages), so you weren't that off, don't worry. ☺️

This is an Italian band that won the Eurovision contest this year. The title Ziti e Buoni translates to "Shut Up and Behave". There's only one girl in the band, and she's the bass player. The rest are all guys. They are all 20 or 21 years old. The band's name ("moan-eh-skin") is Danish for "moonlight". The bass player is half-Italian and half Danish.

This statement perfectly illustrates why we as humans will never be able to really get along with each other. To busy trying to "HA! HA! I are smart... U am dumb!" someone. Could have just shared the info. The condescending fluff was just that... fluff.

The second song is the winning song of this year Eurovision Song Contest, yes That is a real thing not just the title of last years Will Ferrel movie on Netflix. That largest song (not singer!) contest globally. I.e. each song is a original, new song. Their name means moon light is Danish, the bassist is half Danish.

Maneskin are slowly (well, actually extremely quickly) taking over most of the global charts since Eurovision. I'd definitely recommend more of their Italian songs and looking up the lyric translation or watching one of the subtitled videos. I know La Paura del Buio (Radio Italia Live) and Le Parole Lontane (Radio Italia Live) have English sub versions now. But one of my favourites is Vent'anni. They are definitely a talented group.

Eurovision is very large song contest in Europe (and few other countries that have managed to get in, lol) and it has very interesting history. I would recommend you to research about it a little, there are videos on youtube about it. They are young group all around twenty and been around since 2017. They were big in Italy, but whole Europe got to know them from Eurovision and now they are just blowing up around the world. So welcome to Måneskin train, you are here for life! The drummer is a HE :) only the bassist is a girl. Check out Zitti e Buoni on the Eurovision song contest,they won it less thann 2 months ago. Their attitude,their interaction, its just breathtaking and you will fall in love. Check ot also "Beggin (X Factor Italia 2017), Kiss this (X factor Italia), Torna a casa, New Song (Live Radioa Italia), Ventanni, Moriro da re (official video), Back to black cover when they were so so young. Paura Di Buio live version. Stick to live versions because studio version doesnt give full impact of how good these kids are.

just so you know, the version that says "(your) clothes are dirty / your fingers are stained" is wrong. The song actually says "Dirty clothes, muddied / cig-stained fingers, me, walking with a cigarette". It was made from wrong lyrics that were published on the Wiwiblog website. I wrote to them several times, but I'm not sure they got it. Well, it's not that big of a deal, of course. It just makes the song sound a bit more aggressive and a little less on point, in my opinion...
