Journey in 1981 we’re untouchable. Everyone in that band was amazing. Steve Perry is the GOAT.

It’s so nice seeing someone in your generation saying Steve’s voice makes your knees weak! He has done that to my generation for years and still does to this day. He is one of a kind and a once in a generation vocalist! There will NEVER be another like Steve Perry. He is 74 and still has an amazing beautiful and emotional voice that will melt the heart! ❤❤❤

Great react to a great rock classic.

Though I've heard this 1000 times, it really shows the power of this song to see someone's reaction from a different generation hearing it for the first time.

I heard this song from a jukebox in 1981 at a soda fountain in Rome NY, while playing a video game. I was mesmerized. As others have said, its magical seeing your reaction in the glow of a new generation. Knowing you got that feeling to is other-worldly. Love it!

I agree 100% Infinity is not only the first album with Steve doing vocals but the album is complete perfection!!

The most amazing voice, the emotion and seeming sincerity, one could offer and the power to move anyone is that of sheer perfection. None other than Steve Perry! He's untouchable! They began touring the year I finished high school but I never had the opportunity to see them perform live. When Steve Perry left the band, he took with him my heart! Journey will be in my town at the beginning of 2024 but without Steve Perry, I have little interest. I'd only go to see Neal Shoen play the guitar. He's a master; I play all of the songs the pianist, Jonathan Cain, plays and they're so beautifully composed I simply cannot leave the comfort of my piano bench I'm so mesmerized! Not a fan of the man but I love his work. If anyone deserves to be loved, it's Steve Perry. He has lived the tragic life of losing his Mother and the love of his life, Dr Kellie Nash, to breast cancer. His heart is broken!

Kinda of fun side story. I was in the concert biz, production, back then and worked with these guys a few times. We played them in a softball game the day before a show. As we were standing there, drinking beer, waiting for them to show one of tour buses rolled up. They, majority crew, filed out all wearing really nice uniforms. We looked at each other and knew we were going to get stomped on. We did. Perry sat in a remote broadcast truck for a local FM station and participated in the play by play. Fun times. :O)

@@SarahDengler I am 60 years old. I listened to Journey on the radio DAY AFTER DAY. OMG it would not stop. About ten years ago I saw a documentary about Journey, and how they hired a random Filipino. It was Arnel. I lived in Davao City for a number of years. Now I am back in Canada. I want to be back in the Philippines. I love you Sarah. You are like my daughter. You always make me smile.
