Best live band ever. They are still touring, and still amazing. Their drummer just turned 71 and the rest are in their 60s...but still killing it.

Exactly. I have seen quite a few bands live but maiden was always the most energetic. They put their hearts and souls into their shows and they fucking rock the house.

I've seen them on their past tour. Wasn't expecting much to be honest (it was my fourth time seeing them) due to corona lockdown and all of them clearly getting older. However, I was surprised by the energy they brought. In truth, Dickinson wasn't engaging the audience much on that tour as he does again on the most recent one, but that old fart (I say this endearingly) jumped all over the stage while still hitting the high notes.

This is one of my favorite performances of a Maiden song, ever. I get chills every time!

For your own enjoyment, another great live performance of this one is the "En Vivo" performance (personally my favorite). You mentioned stage performance... Check out "Dance of death" En vivo performance as well! One of Bruce's best as far as storytelling, stage command and 3 blistering guitar solos. Edit: They are still touring. Currently on their European leg of the "Future Past" Tour. Fear of the dark is on the set list, btw. :)

As a maiden fan since the 80s , Fear of the Dark album didn't capture me , untill I heard it live. Some songs are great live @ Nightrain GnR is one of them too

South America loves their metal

Only metal band where their live version blew the studio version out of the water by a significant margin. So good.

I would recommend a song from the very first Maiden album back in 1980 called The Phantom of the Opera. That's the song that really expressed what the band was about from the very beginning. It features their first vocalist Paul Di'Anno btw not Bruce.

I've seen Maiden live 9 times I absolutely love them one of my favourite live performances is Dance of Death.

If there was ever a quintessential live performance of any song it would be this one. It made me fall in love with Maiden's live presence many years ago. You can't beat 250,000 Brazilians singing along to Fear of the Dark.

Live nobody can even get close to touching this band. BEST. BAND . EVER.

Dance of Death live in Santiago, Chile next....Just Brilliant.

Seeing them for the sixth time next week in Manchester UK. Can't wait. My favourite band. 😊

Another great reaction! South American Metal fans are the best in the world. They not only know the lyrics but the guitar melodies and sing along. This is phenomenon with not only Iron Maiden but any metal band. On my bucket list to see a metal concert in South America and soak up the atmosphere.

I saw them on Friday in London…they are still AMAZING!!!

Bruce has always said that you CAN NOT make small movements onstage because the people in the back of the crowd came to see you too and want to be able to find you on the stage. So these guys are always on the move....Brilliant really.

Nicko the drummer really enjoys himself and the fans. When I saw them 4 years ago as they were walking off the stage he took the time to take the microphone and tell us (the crowd) that we were “bloody brilliant”. Cool dude.

I saw them last summer in Germany (Bremen) and it was amazing..

Iron Maiden - Blood Brothers. This one is very melodic and also very beautiful and Bruce's voice here is just incredible...Actually the whole album is just awesome and it is in that album (Brave New World) which one of their older members has joined again with them and thus Iron Maiden has become a band with 3 permanent lead guitarists.... so please react to Iron Maiden - Blood Brothers (En Vivo! Most of Maiden songs (maybe all you can say) are perfectly balanced between power and melody! Actually they are one of the best artists in that regard

Saw them for the second time last September in Austin. The first time I saw them was '85 in Houston. Always a great show.

Saw them in Nashville a few years ago. They are still great. They are like watching musical theater really.

This version is legendary. Once you see Iron Maiden live everything else is watered down I'm sorry I have to say.

I was introduced to Maiden the 1st day of MTV. The song IRON MAIDEN was the 16th video aired on the channel. It was concert footage and i was ABSOLUTELY blown away!! The also used the footage for their 2nd video WRATHCHILD. Up The Irons!! 🤘

What can I say about Iron Maiden.. except they're one of the funnest bands you will ever see live. They are doing their last tour as we speak and I don't know where you are but I suggest you get a ticket. I've seen them five times over the years and they never fail to disappoint. Looking forward to one final time.🍻🇨🇦

I had the pleasure of seeing them back in the mid 80's and they completely Blew my Mind!! My very first concert was KISS back in 81 backed by Night Ranger.. I thought that was a mind blowing Concert,I've also seen Aerosmith,and AC/DC on 4 different concert tours and They were great ..But IRON MAIDEN just set the Standard for Stage Shows.. IMHO.. In the 80s I had all 37 of their posters on my wall, all throughout high school we traveled the West and saw every one of their shows I saw them 27 times from 1980 to 1987. I do miss however Eddie the head coming out on stage and dancing around. At least six of the times was with the original singer.

Going to see Iron Maiden this Saturday Night in Dublin. They're currently on a European Tour. The tour is called Future's Past and the show is based on their latest album Senjitsu" and the classic "Somewhere in Time" album. They've also announced dates in the States.. Can't wait.

Same here, but since this is 2001 they were in their 40's but they just started their new tour being in their late 60's and Nicko just turned 71.

Now , the guys are in their 60’sand Nikko, the drummer is 70

You should listen to Van Canto version of this song

They’re still touring. You should definitely grab the chance, if they come anywhere near you. I honestly don’t know how much longer they’re going to keep going. Nicko (drummer) is 71 now, and Bruce, the youngest, turns 65 in August. They’re still giving it everything, but I’ve been a fan long enough to see that they’re starting to slow down a little.

Seeing them next month at the O2 in London and I can't wait , I m definitely expecting them to perform fear of the dark , I've seen so many bands acdc , metallica etc but never got round to maiden til now I'm excited 🎉 I believe the warm up band is raven age who I saw with alter bridge and shinedown all were excellent 🙂 I must do my usual recommendation alter bridge ' words darker that thier wings ' live from the royal Albert hall it will blow your minds 👍 cheers as always for the great reaction guys this was a belter

In my humble opinion, I believe this particular song is just better live. All other Maiden songs are great both live and studio.

Its funny, but I remember when the "Fear of the Dark" album released. This song, in particular, wasn't nearly as popular to fans as many of their earlier songs, even though I fell in love with it right away. At some point along the way, this song really became a fan favorite, and I don't doubt that this concert is a big part of why. Anyway, all that to say that I had a blast watching your reaction to the live version!! Bruce Dickinson was around 42 years old in this video, and is still extremely active on stage today as he approaches 65. I just hope I have that much energy when I get there!! Thanks for the reaction!!
