Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.

The lead singerfor this song, Austin Brown, and another tenor in the group, Rob Lundquist, recorded Nessun Dorma. Rob has training in opera and Austin has done musical theater.

Home Free doesn't "cover" songs. They take existing songs, rearrange them, and produce them as a business. There are "Cover Bands" that take popular songs and produce identical copies of them. There are amateurs on KZread that "cover" original songs and produce them to sound as close to the original as possible. Home Free gets the proper authorization from the owners of the songs, then they make the song theirs, by giving it their touch.

Finally getting to Home Free again. You should hear them do Love Train, Listen to the Music.

This one was done towards the end of pandemic lockdown and all they guys were recording from different locations. They handled that well with the tv's.

Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group. They do all genres & have close to 200 songs both covers & originals. So you have a long way to go.

Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together and I thought the use of the tv’s was clever. Home Free is so good. Good reaction Mr. L!

When they first released this video, I watched it about four times in a row, just totally enchanted. I think I fell a little bit in love with Austin. Like you said, there have been some great covers of this song, but they just took it to another level.

"God Bless the USA" with Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force Singing Sargeants is awesome. Along with "How Great Thou Art" and "Seven Bridges Road" are also great.

Home Free is the best! I would recommend Helplessly Hoping to really appreciate their harmonies and American Pie with Don McLean so you can hear each singer take a lead on a verse. McLean asked them to record this with him and invited them to sing when he received his star on the Walk of Fame. There is not a bad Home Free song. If you'd like to hear more of Austin, he has his own channel. Again, there is not a bad song, but I specifically recommend Bring Him Home from Le Miz and Unchained Melody.
