@@FranklynTonyKpop Forever1 was their latest comeback (2022), but it's more of a fan song so it might be a little early for newer reactor to check that song. They do have a lot of other iconic songs though.

Girls' Generation is definitely considered one of the OG's of modern K-pop. They started a lot of trends that idols follow today, including photocards and fancams. A lot of today's idols looked up to them, and groups back then would delay their own comebacks to avoid being overshadowed by Girls' Generation. Everybody knew each individual members' names even if they didn't really keep up with mainstream music. Their songs were everywhere, they broke tons of records, did a lot of different concepts, were featured in many advertisements, had a huge fanbase, and are one of the most iconic K-pop girl groups. Their influence during their peak years would be comparable to Twice and Blackpink, and this was even before social media really took off. They were like the Spice Girls of Asia. They were an absolutely massive phenomenon. They transformed K-pop into what it is today and are a highly respected group for a reason!

Their company SM Entertainment gave their side of the story, while Jessica "hinted" another reason, then I believe the other 8 members aren't allowed to discuss about it. I'm only an SNSD fan since 2021, but I think most fans (SONE) decided to move on since 2014 was a long time ago. Otherwise, it might cause another heated debate about her departure from the group. If you're not strictly about MV reaction, I'd suggest to check out their SNSD guide created by ohwoowoo. the reason why Jessica left isn't clear, even after so long lol. the full story with details has never been said by either jessica, the company, or the other eight girls, so far the only things said were, from jessica , (to sum it up) her story is that the 8 members took a vote suddenly, to either make jessica focus on the group, or her new fashion brand, jessica said she already had permission from sm entertainment so shes not going to quit her fashion brand, so ultimately the members stood by what they said. and sm entertainment said "...However, recently with Jessica starting her fashion business while there was a lack of specific mediation regarding the interests and prioritization of Girls’ Generation’s activities, a situation has been reached where the team cannot be maintained, despite continued discussion.” Those are the only official things said and both were in 2014, we dont know why the members opposed her brand or which members voted for what side, or anything like that, however theres a lot of speculation and rumors around it, nothing confirmed though and nothing with actual proof, so yeah the whole things a bit iffy :/
