one of the reasons why its called Nxde is because the group's name in Korean is pronounced 'eidul' which sounds like part of the word 'children' in Korean. so when creeps search up 'children nxde' it comes up with the song Nxde instead Soyeon (the leader, producer, song writer of the group) really is a genius

the concept is inspired by marilyn monroe and how she was viewed as just a dumb blonde and a sex symbol, and many other women are too, they wanted to show that women are more than how they're perceived, and nudity/femininity shouldn't be sexualised since its natural. but also that (as you said) nudity ≠ sexual, just as being comfortable in your femininity/sensuality ≠ sexual i believe Soyeon (3:18) came up with the idea, it really is amazing to see, especially in the kpop industry

If you didn't know, Soyeon named this song nxde to stop child "graphic videos". Since (G)I-DLE's name in Korean romanization is "yeoja aideul", which means "girl children", when typed "yeoja aideul n*de", the song will pop up, instead of the "videos". Thus, Soyeon already at the intro makes fun of the people that tried to search the "other things". It actually helped and she’s extremely smart for doing that! This is why I love g-idle and I usually only listen to boy groups

the girl in the beginning, her name is soyeon and she’s the one who made this concept and she’s the producer/writer of their music. she’s an amazing rapper as well! you are probably one of the only men i’ve seen not sexualize this video and actually understand the concept and message. g-idle definitely talks about female empowerment and “taboo” topics (according to the kpop girl group standards). there are a few little easter eggs here. so in the beginning at 1:17 this is actually a shoutout to Marilyn Monroe. she did a music video exactly like that and g-idle paid homage to it since during her peak times Marilyn was always described as being “too sexual”. also there you can see one of the members even dress like her iconic look in the short blonde hair and white dress and also there are posters of her in some places throughout the MV. at this moment 1:24 there is a little animated character and she’s reading Leaves of Grass which is a poem book about human nature and life. there are some poems in it that are about sexuality and sensuality and for it’s time it was considered very explicit and inappropriate. also the little animated style of the character looks like jessica rabbit and she has always been very sexualized. around here 5:17 one of the lyrics is “i was born nude. you have a dirty mind” basically saying that nudity isn’t always sexual. it’s natural and can be beautiful. nudity is used in many different cultures and art styles and they aren’t all sexual. also the painting the was shredded is an homage to a famous artist called Banksy. basically one of his paintings was up for auction so as soon as the auctioneer dropped the gavel, the frame had a built in shredder and it began shredding itself leaving half the painting shredded and half still there. so g-idle shredded the “nude” painting in the same way. so those are some little easter eggs. g-idle is so cool! you should check out Oh My God (my fav), Lion, and Tomboy!
