He’s not talking about someone in particular but rather himself, it’s abstract and metaphorical in that sense.

It is a love song, and just a few reference translations. The title translates to "I'd Rather Die" and the second half of the courus where he says "Sando no meshi yori anta ga ii" roughly translates to "I would chose you over 3 meals a day"

Fuji kaze is definitely a great artist Great voice and piano playing But I prefer to foucs on his lyrics In most of his other songs Like - tabiji Kareou Nan nan If u listen to him I would highly recommend To turn on subtitles because his lyrics is Really beautiful and deep

Good guess on what the song is about. :) But you should know that EN subs are actually available for most of Kaze's stuff. Kaze, Kaze, Kaze (pronounced Kah-zay). What can I say about him? This guy has something for everyone and this being my first time watching a reaction vid of yours, I don't really know your what tastes tend towards other than the fact that you seem to enjoy tunes that are vibey and have a good groove to them, based on your reaction to this one. Thing is, most of his stuff has a r&b sorta groove and is filled with jazzy vibes and hooks, and I actually like almost everything he's put out so far so it's hard to pick. But we gotta start small, so I'll just go with the ones I currently find myself humming the tune to without meaning to and you can decide whether or not you want to check them out: - Moh-ee-wa - Yasashisa I got a feeling you may like NAN-NANw tho so you might wanna go with that first before anything else. It's his debut single after all and what got people to first sit up and pay attention to his sound when he first broke into the JP music scene.
