Her full name is Faouzia Ouihya, she's originally from Morocco but lives in Canada. She's singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is amazing and very talented. Not she is just Moroccan Not Canadian even her parents (they are Moroccans too) but she's living in Canada

She is coming to Washington DC and I am definitely going to see her.

My favorite by her is still the stripped version of "Bad Dreams". I love that song.

I have tickets to her concert in October here in Atlanta. Can't wait to be I the room with her voice!!

Oh are you in for some great singing this young lady is phenomenal her voice is pitch perfect you should here her version of Blue by Eiffel 65. It is beyond epic. Puppet or Bad Dreams Faouzia is Morccan Canadian singer her pipes are out of this world. She was discovered on TIK TOK but she is also a engineer. Climbing up the mountain or you don't know me. The timing on this reaction is great - I've been listening to some of my favourites of her songs all afternoon at work. 😆 Some of my favourites are My Heart's Grave (underappreciated song, in my opinion), this one, Bad Dreams (stripped), and You Don't Even Know Me (stripped). Among others... she has a lot of great songs! For a completely different vibe, Puppet is a fun dance song.

She is certainly the best young songwriter if not the best young singer - both musical construction and lyrics. She won her first songwriting contest in her early teens. Faouzia hasn't been a talent show contestant herself but finalist Daneliya Tuleshova sang 'Tears of Gold"' on "America's Got Talent".

I came across her on YT three months ago and she has quickly become one of my favorites. Her voice is so angelic, yet so powerful. There’s something about her vocals that hits you at the emotional level. Your eyes and ears are glued to every performance of hers. She is a vocal powerhouse! You'll love them🤩 Her range (btw it's more extended than Billie's one from what we've heard + they both have a very distinct sound, I would say Faouzia is way more powerful and straightforward with her tone compared to Billie's, although both are incredibleee and insanely talented) and power are incredible, truly such an inspirational singer❤️ and the fact that she's just 22 is just... aaah mind-blowing!! Faouzia is currently on the Chinese singing competition "The Singer", where Dimash gained fame. It's 3 weeks in, so there are 3 Faouzia songs available. They all rock of course. 🙂 And her new single "What a Woman" will blow you away.

I know you will be deluged with further recommendations -- my opinion is that she is always most incredible when singing live in stripped down acoustic performances, I prefer those to her commercially produced pop versions of her songs. (The fact she writes and composes all her own work is also super impressive). Anyway, whenever you're in the mood to listen to more of her stuff, some of my favorites are Bad Dreams (Stripped), it's a song about struggling with anxiety and there's a fierce, emotional power in the way she blazes through the chorus in a way that sounds almost like a primal scream; her cover of Sting's "Desert Rose" is really beautiful, it's a song that allows her to show off the Arabic-influenced vocal trills and dexterity of her voice, she's performed it several times but my favorite version is the TikTok Concert version; I also love the version of "How It All Works Out" that she sang live at the Festival du Voyageur in Canada. Anyway, thanks again for such a heartfelt and lovely reaction, it was really fun to see you get excited over her singing. I have a ton of admiration for her talent, too.
