You're the first 'reaction' person I've seen that didn't shed tears after this song. I'm a grown man and this song always makes me sob like a baby.

Ya know I wonder if "Alyssa Lies" would make her cry? You are right, I've never seen a reactor that didn't get emotional listening to this song. Alyssa Lies? Maybe that would get a reaction? @Dani what do you think? wanna try this one? kzread.info/dash/bejne/oICcl9ibcq_WqKw.html
Country music - three chords and the truth. It's amazing how some of these Country songs just pull you in, unlike any other genre. Mom does survive in the song. You're a genuine reactor with good insights. Cheers!

That's one interpretation, bud, and one that doesn't fit perfectly with the cycle/theme/pattern of the song. Her death would make the story a full cycle starting with a single father and ending with a single father who's taking a son fishing "with a girl." But it's ope to interpretation.

@unclebounce1495 at the end of the video you see the mom run up, they named their son Johnny after his dad.
that was her running at the end, she survived. the point of the song was about the change of context of "don't take the girl". his dad told him "one day you'll change your mind".
This song, "Highway don't care", and Live like you were dieing", are some of Tim's best song over the course of his career. I think you will enjoy them all.
It's a great song when you want good cry that's why my faith in GOD is so strong cause I have suffered lost of a stepdad a furbaby a mom my birthdad pastor all in a close time wheni hear that song I remember ALLTHE people or pets I've lost I have alotta friend's now I hope and pray one day that when we're all in HEAVEN they'll be no more goodbye's!!!
Good morning. Never heard this one... now I start my day with tears. Beautiful song, well done video. Thank you,
Dani: please listen to Tim Mcgraw singing Live Like You Were Dying. It is my husband's favorite song. We love Tim's plaintive voice on this song you just listened to, and your observations re the song and his relationship to the girl were spot on. Thank you. Nice to hear country music-I get tired of reactions to rock music, so this was wonderful. We like all kinds of music except rap, hard rock, and screeching lyrics.
Good song. The young guy has a great voice. I'm not really big on modern country. But yet this song speaks volumes.
Ok I can't believe it. This story behind this song is getting me emotional. Wow.
Heartbreaking song. Country music at it's best. Storytelling a whole life in a few verses. Thank you Dani. Love your reactions. Please never stop.
I love this song soo good
I hit my knees with this same prayer the second time this year. It feels like he says yes. I kinda expect to be claimed soon. But if wifey is ok, it's worth it.
You cannot be 'scared' about losing loved ones, it is a fact of life and it's gonna happen, what you have to do is get it right in your head, that it's gonna happen, and decide how you are going to deal with it. It is a part of life and it is inevitable, even though we don't want it to be, but it is. Prepare yourself to deal with it.
It gets me every time. I don't shed a tear .. But every time 😢
Tim McGraw is a must have in my family. My parents have his music on all the time.
They don't make those songs anymore.. back when songs tell nice stories..good old times..
This song has such a powerful message. Thanks for doing this one. My other favorite songs from the great Tim McGraw are When She Wakes Up, One of These Days, Just To See You Smile, Can’t Be Really Gone, I Do But I Don’t, Angry All the Time, Grown Men Don’t Cry, Back When, My Little Girl, Everywhere, You Had To Be There, and If You’re Reading This.
Love conquers all.... In the end, that's all that matters.
Appreciate your "True Country" reaction videos, you seem to "get it." If you've not heard or reacted yet, 3 you need to consider are "Go Rest High On That Mountain" official music video by Vince Gill, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones, and "Whiskey Lullaby" official music video by Brad Paisley. Some of the BEST REAL COUNTRY SONGS...EVER.
This was also back when Tim was putting out some good country music.
People miss the very end of the video when the woman is running to the man and the boy because God answered his prayer by not taking her.
Hello Dani, Hope you are safe and warm.. This is just one of my favorites from Tim Mcgraw, check out Humble and Kind.. With everything that's going on it's a song everyone needs to hear !! Take Care ,and God Bless You Dani 🙏
It’s always funny to get to the third verse and watch peoples reactions lol
This song is so great ..
It's difficult to listen to because it is so deep, but it is so relatable for everyone.
That's her at the very end running with the picnic basket she lives
It's a truly heavy song, but if you watch the very ending again, you'll see the girl running up so she did live.
I love the song the last verse is what made me cry when the girl died 💔💔💔💔
She lived. She's the girl going fishing with Johnny Jr. and his dad at the end.
It will make you cry it does me
After some some research it was confirmed that that is her at 5:05 and that she actually survived.
His prayers were answered you can see her running with them in the end of the song she didn't die.

My uncle Terry Verner, used to look just like Tim McGraw. To the point that it caused him to do a double take when he saw my uncle.
Such a good reaction. But don't worry so much about what life is bringing your way. Just enjoy what you can.
Dying is a part of life, No one can really be prepared for it But you have to let yourself know that it will happen whether it be you or loved ones or friends.
U should watch the video “Can’t be really gone” by Tim McGraw.
Hey young lady this song should have came with a warning label there's a singer named Rodney Atkins similar to your name he sings I've been watching you it's a happy song

In the fishing scene with his dad he's asking his dad to let the girl come with them because he thought she was pretty at 8 so he told his dad you can take any guy off the earth now just don't take the girl that lead through to the 2nd scene which he gave everything he had on him to not get her hurt then in the final scene he's literally begging to be switched into her spot and killed by god right there to save her life she means that much to him
Tears your heart out
Watch the end again. When he says "Johnny's daddy was taking him fishing" she is in the video, so she made it.

Look again. He is with his son (presumably Johnny jr) with another girl who has come along on a fishing trip. He has come full circle and is now the dad bringing along the girl for his boy as his dad all those years before. Evidence: the girl in the three verses is blonde. The girl at the end has brown hair.

Incorrect go watch it again Johnny or is an 8 year old and the girl running up has tots, the face isn't that clear, but up pretty sure they don't do boob jobs on 8 year olds. I am unsure because this was 28 years ago, but it seems loke I remember him cpmfirmong this in an interview, I had wondered about the track endong on the album, and did not have cable to see it anywhere. For you young ones that was before KZread or really the internet. As we know it today anyway. People still bought porn on vhs in the back rooms of video rental stores.

love this song
2 things, incase you aren't sure: 1. There is always a photo of the girl, until after the doctor's report. The no girl = dead girl. 2. This song is about a single man given the responsibility to raise a child alone.

I disagree with No 2. About 40 to 50% of all kid's that don't have A little sister or A girl to play with they will first think all girl's are nasty, I don't like her kinda situation, all girl's are stupid, ect... Then as they slowly grow older and older that kinda of stuff about girl's turns off and they slowly progress and introduce themselves to A girl he likes "A Romantic Crush", That's when it starts A boy and A girl will start to go out together 💙 and the boy will do anything to impress her, make sure she's protected when she's with you, make sure she's being loved by you too. If those things happen then that's 💯% A+ relationship with someone and that's what happened to Johnny he fell deeply in love with this girl were he would do anything to keep her safe from harm.
Songs like this let you know if you still have heart.
He has another good song called Every Where and imagine if the one u wanted u didn't get but u see that person where eve u go.
You're wrong. The girl survived. She's the girl running to johnny as a dad with a picnic basket and they're going fishing
she survived that last clip is johnny and his son, she,s running in the blue shirt. just her hair is diff.
I enjoyed your reaction
My son was born in may of that year. After almost 23 years she divorced me and we have been divorced now for 7 years and I still love her. Hard to believe how fast time has flown.
Got 3 songs for you 1 by John Michael Montgomery called The Little girl Then 2 songs by Alan Jackson 1st one is Remember 2nd one is Where we’re you Listen to those have tissues ready
long story short he started with not wanting her to go and he never changed his mind.
Great song great reaction!!!
Great reaction. In case you didn't realize it she lived and they went on happily ever after.
You should do a reaction video for Darryl Worley "I Miss My Friend" :)
Such a great song. Another one that’s pretty powerful is Kenny Chesney “The Good Stuff”
Don't worry about our Loved ones that have pasted on ! They are in the arms of Our Lord. Safe and secure. If they are Saved. God Loves us all !
No one died in this song the father was holding his son hand and the mother was walking up behind them.
Greetings Dani, My first time on your channel. You girl have selected a good song. A sad story. Typical Country - Western song. The ending is heart breaking, as you will see. God is not the one taking the girl - that is Satan...The destroyer! Advice - cherish your loved ones. Time is short and fleeting!!! Love hard and hang on tight...
Some advice from an old man. You must cherish your loved ones!!! MUST!
Great reaction,sad circumstances,when this happens.
Please react to Steve Holy - "Just A Kiss" or "Blue Moon" or "Good Morning Beautiful" ~ Thanks!
It's a great song but also a sad one 😔😞😢
Last verse of the song is when the girl dies 💔

Love Waylon Jennings. I recommend the buddy holly medley. There are so many great Waylon songs that's it's hard to recommend one song. Why I chose the buddy holly medley is because of the backstory. In the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper. Waylon have his seat on the plane to the big Bopper, and while he was walking away buddy holly told Waylon I hope your bus freezes, and Waylon told buddy, well I hope your plane crashes. It was said as a joke. It really happened though. Waylon never got over it and in 1978. He recorded this medley of buddy's songs with his original band. It's such a great tribute to Buddy from Waylon

Oh Dani, don't cry. Death is a part of life. I lost my grandmother a few years ago at 103. She was the most amazing person I ever met. I will miss her and do miss her everyday. Great song choice and d reaction. You're young yet. You got a lot of living to do. Enjoy the good times with our lives ones and even the sad times cause it makes us better people and we grow more in experience. I always say good songwriting comes from hard times . Don't frown my beautiful girl. Live is a journey and there wouldn't be good times without bad times. Also wouldn't be life if there wasn't death. The Lord has blessed you and is watching over you even of you don't feel it atm.
got to see this man 3 times and one the 2nd time it was with my girlfriend and now my wife that is how i got her to marry me she said if you ever take me to a Tim McGraw concert i will marry you and no more than a week later i won 2 tickets to a Tim McGraw concert
For some feel-good country music, check out Home Free. They have a number of great songs... lots of covers, lots of originals. "Country-Fried Pop Medley" is fun, as is "Champaign taste on a Beer Budget," "Summer in the Country," "Hillbilly Bone," "Can't Stop the Feeling"... the list goes on.
Back when country music didn't suck

Try Tim McGraw - Please Remember Me
This is the first Tim Mcgraw song i heard. Dropped in 1994 and his first #1. I have hated tbis song, or rather tge emotion it engenders EVERY TIME i hear it. I have to force myself to listen to it on the few occasions it seems appropriate to do so. I'm a 69 year old grandfather and ugly tears start at the beginning of the second verse. It is Ultimately a song of hope, well structured but so stark and wrenching.
