LOVED this video! Classic Cameo! I agree with you about "She's Strange". It's a very captivating song production wise. So smooth. I would also say that Cameo made music that spoke to the TRUE MASCULINE MALE as well which is what made them so unique. Sending you much love from Detroit! ❤❤❤❤

What can I say about Larry Blackmon? Creative, inspirational and a musical genius. I remember Cameo performing this on Top Of The Pops together with red codpiece and ultra tight black pants. I haven’t seen this in ages and it certainly takes me back down memory lane. Great music from a great band. By the way, you should check the band called Mantra and the song called: “Doin it do the bone” which was another project of Larry’s which was extra funky back in the early 80s

This video is a continuation of the "Attack Me With Your Love" video, which I THINK you've reviewed already. If you remember, Larry and the man in this video were fighting over the lady. The video ended with "To be continued" on the screen as Larry drove off in the car. "Single Life" video picks up at that very point. Anyway, the man wanted revenge on Larry for stealing his girl, but Larry decided he didn't want to be tied down and wanted to live the single life, so the lady went back to the man. So, at the end, they both got what they wanted.

I remember going to this New Years Eve party and I was dressed in tights and a cup like the lead singer. It was like a few seconds after I had entered the club and low and behold "Single Life" began playing. They were already staring so I went straight to the dance floor and put on a show lol. It was a crazy party full of surprises, good music and great food and drinks as well. Single Life is my song.

The "Groom" was Debbi Morgan who is probably best known for her role on All My Children from 1983-2011. As Dr. Angie Baxter Hubbard she along with Jesse Hubbard played by British Born Darnell Williams were the first African American Superstar Soap Couple on TV and were the First African American Soap Couple to appear on Soap Opera Digest in the 1980's. Kristoff St. John who played Neil Winters on The Young & The Restless once said "Were it not for Angie & Jesse, there wouldn't have been a Neil & Drucilla, Abe & Lexie on Days Of Our Lives or even Kat & David on Guiding Light.

Cameo was one of the most successful R&B/Soul groups to capitalize on MTV back in the mid-'80s - just check out those crazy visuals. Haha... But even if you never saw their videos, the music was so good and the production was so smooth, you couldn't help but love what they were doing. Black radio was rocking Cameo hard.

It was my first year of high school and I'd be walking around with my box on my shoulder, the volume all the way up, and no one complained. Not even the elders on the block because they knew what time it was. Lol. I can't wait until you react to "Shake Your Pants!" That was/is my jam! You can't help but dance to it and sing with it!
