V’s voice is one of the most unique voices I have ever heard. The emotions that he is able to bring out is unreal. All of his songs are powerful.

Tae's songs are beautiful, not only because of their music, but because of the beauty in their lyrics that sound so magical and comforting in their voice. He has said that he writes about his experiences and feelings, so it is an honor to know a little about his soul.

The guys in these dramas are his friends, Park Seo Joon also acted as a main lead in “Hwarang” along with Tae, V actually sang the OST with Jin “Is definitely you” for that drama 💜

Tae's solo songs are always so beautiful. I love his vocals 💜

Christmas Tree was released during Christmas a year ago during this time, so it technically is a Christmas song lol. Christmas Tree is an OST for a drama called Our Beloved Summer. Sweet Night is an OST for a drama called Itaewon Class. A lot of people assume he did these songs for his friends Park Seojoon (main actor in Itaewon Class) and Choi Wooshik (main actor in Our beloved Summer). Those two guys are some of his closest friends and he even visited the set when they were filming the dramas to show supports to his friends. These are some of my favorite songs from him. The gentleness of them and subtlety of affection really stands out. He’s got an amazing voice for kdrama OST’s. Edit about his friends: V is a part of a friend circle called the Wooga Squad. This consists of V, Park Seojoon, Choi Wooshik, Park Hyungsik, and Peakboy. They even had their own In the Soop: Friendcation (available on Disney+)

It's so interesting watching this reaction in March of 2024 after V released his LAYOVER album, Wherever UR and his latest, FRI(end)S. V does not disappoint!

V's style and choices made for his solo works are all timeless masterpeices. His songs can tune your mood anytime you need it. I am sure I will still listen to his songs after 10,20,30 years

Yes V's ^of saying words. His emphasis is just right and touching. There's much emotion and the right emotion tempered with a beautiful ending to the word. In Korean and Japanese it's so beautiful.

Love Tae on these OST's. His range is stellar and really shows off his unique talents. It's also endearing that the male leads in both Kdramas are also a few of his best friends in real life. Thank you for always being so genuine and "real". I appreciate your reactions so much!!

His music is so heart felt and is of a genre that is specific to him. You can feel his emotions when he sings his songs. They open the door to his soul, it feels. The arrangements on these songs are “music to my ears”! They bring out a warmth and a longing that is enveloping.Beautiful voice! Beautiful music! Beautiful Taehyung‼️👍💜♥️💜♥️💜

V has a very deep old soul tone. He has a very jazzey rnb style. He showcase a Very wide range too. From his high notes on Stigma to a very deep sombre tone in Singularity. He also has ALOT of unreleased, unfinished songs he would play for ARMY. If you just search Vs unreleased songs, you would be surprised and ever baffled HOW THIS ARTIST kept those song from us. (travel with me, 3 in the morning, the English version of Blue and Gray) unfortunately when Army asked V on weverse about his "Travel with me" song he played while he was vacationing recently in Hawaii, he said "I deleted all my old song"... I literally had a mental breakdown and was hoping he was just joking 😢... Please.. Even on ur off time, just try looking up his unreleased songs.. And I will be sure, you would be so amazed!!! Taehyung is an awesome song writer and lyricist. He may not be as deep as RM but he has this old soul that will easily find a way to ur heart ☺️ For me, V is so under appreciated for his vocal talent.. Can't blame them being hooked on his look 9f course.. Both of these guys are his good friends and part of the Wooga Gang that he considers his family. there are 5 of them, Bangtan did a soop with all of them this past year.

Yeah, the title and saying "Christmas trees for us" are literally the only reference to the holiday. But it does sound "seasonal" with the spareness of the sound. "Sweet Night" is one of my most favorite of V's songs - I saw the series and liked the song well before I knew he sang it.

Another thing about his song when he compose them, they always have an instrumental part (more the outro) and I LOVE that.

I love Tae's voice it is so soothing and calming. There are even videos here on youtube where parents play Tae's songs to calm a distressed baby. I actually have a playlist of Tae's music that I have as background music for sleep or anytime I want a peaceful atmosphere. I know he loves many different types of music and has said he wants to experiment with different genres for his album. So I'm hoping for some Jazz, R&B, Acoustic, and any other surprises he wants to give us. I seriously can't wait for his solo work as he is my favorite vocalist in the entertainment industry period. His voice whether he goes low or high is like a warm blanket of love that I can't get enough of. Fun fact, the male leads in both of these are very close friends of Tae's and members of his brotherhood group called the Wooga Squad. They just did a Series called In the Soop: Friendcation that was such a joy to watch their interactions. The female lead is the same in both dramas. Taehyung songs heal you, you will find comfort in them and his vocals, I will not lie but until this day I feel goosebumps everytime I listen to Sweet Night and Winter Bear, both songs mean a lot to me. I LOVE this song, and even though it isn’t actually a Christmas song it made it to number one on Spotify’s Christmas songs list. If you haven’t seen this K-drama, Our Beloved Summer, starring one of V’s close friends, Choi Wooshik, you should. The second OST is from Itaewon class, which stars one of V’s other close friends, Park Seo Joon. It is a must-watch K-drama! Both of these dramas star the same female lead, Kim Da-mi. I have had these two songs on my playlist since early this year, and I play them often, because I love V’s voice so much. He has a way of calming and soothing the soul with his music, and I hope he comes out with a solo album having much of the same beautiful music. 💜

Actually, everyone (myself included) at the time assumed it was Adora on Sweet Night, but it turned out to be a British singer, Matilda Mann. I think someone found the instagram story a couple of years ago.

Matilda Mann did the background vocal. She’s singer and song writer from London. I love her voice and songs (if you are interested, check out her albums, “Sounder”, “October16th” and “If that makes sense”). Should check out “Snow Flower” by V which was released last year on Christmas Eve.

I totally agree with your take on his pronunciation - They all work so hard to get better with their English, but I selfishly hope that V doesn't ever fully master it because I find his current vowel formation already perfect. If you haven't seen it already, the Christmas medley that they did is both entertaining and shows how much work they've put into their English.

About the female singer who harmonizes with V in "Sweet Night", here's a quote from an interview with Arcades, who have worked with BTS several times: I know you also contributed to V’s OST “Sweet Night”; what was your role there? “Sweet Night” was a song where we played more of a behind-the-scenes role. The guys at the label had the song but didn’t tell us too much about it. They were just looking for some female vocals, so we sent three of our favorite singers over and they came back about one of them, a friend of ours, Matilda Mann. We then went into the studio with her, tracked her vocal along with what was already down, making sure it complimented it in every place but still weren’t sure what parts were being used. It was obvious by this point it was V’s voice as it is unmistakable, but we didn’t want to ask any questions, we just got it back over to the guys, and then a while later “Sweet Night” came out, and started breaking records left right and center. It felt really good to have been able to play a small role on that one, even though we didn’t do any writing this time, but BigHit is always very good at making sure everyone is credited for their work. But it is such a beautiful song, we had it on repeat for days and are so proud of both Taehyung and also Matilda.

I hadda google both songs. Neither were written by V, both are solo tracks - no one else, just him. V was one of the two producers for Sweet Night. Neither song is under Hybe/BigHit. I'm with you. I'm really hoping his album showcases his unique qualities with songs like this and "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" and "Singularity".
