Jimin said this is like a lullaby. He fell asleep listening to it. These boys are so stinking precious.

People speculate that Stigma is about him being gay too, but even RM won’t speculate what it’s about and said that himself. It’s not up to us to speculate his intentions. Saying you’d like to think he wrote it for his grandmother is one thing (that is what art is for) but nobody should be stating it as fact unless he said it is a fact. Honestly if it was about his grandmother I think that is something he would say proudly because of how much he loved her.

I’m not over reacting when I say that there’s something in V’s voice and songs that calms me down… emotionally calming and just like a warm hug much needed in any chaotic or nerve wracking moments. 💜💜💜

I love this song so much. You can see and feel his distinct personal touches all throughout the song and music video. That's one of the many things I love about Tae's creative outlets be it music, photography, art is that it is so multilayered and you can sense the feeling put into it and behind it. Tae amazes me with all the various ways he so beautifully expresses or showcases his creativity. I can't wait for his solo album and what genres he plans to explore, he has such a velvety and rich voice that is also very versatile. I'm also very eager to see what other creative outlets he pursues in this Chapter 2. Very exciting. Also I shouldn't project, when I listen to it I think of lost loved ones but that doesn't mean I should interpret it based on that. Thanks for the reality check. We as fans can sometimes do that to the guys, put our own spin on what it means and before you know it it's a fandom myth. That would be incredibly sweet and it would be a Tae thing to do, but I’m glad you see where it shouldn’t be something we say is fact and really you didn’t state it was a fact the way some have, just something you heard, so I was just showing you so you knew for sure 🙂. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about Stigma and saying it’s Tae singing about being gay. Whether he is or not is really nobody’s business and RM even said he won’t speculate what the song is about. Seeing all the comments for Stigma saying that had me a little defensive for him 😋.

The example with Stigma (they do it with Singularity also) is a perfect cautionary tale about what happens when people assume and spread their conclusions/projections as if it's a fact. I can think of many things both songs could mean and none of it has to do with sexuality. I hate that behavior of presenting projection as facts directed at me or anyone else so I never want to do the same. We should always let the guys tell us what their songs are about because only they would know. We aren't in their heads nor feel what they feel so to do otherwise is disrespectful and speaking over them. I'm glad you are defensive for him, I am the same actually so I'm kicking myself for doing something I loathe to see. There are too many unchecked urban myths in this fandom as it is so I don't want to add to that behavior. 💜

I can’t even explain how much this song has helped me. When I’ve been so stressed my brain won’t turn off and I’m spiraling this song has been one of two things that will relax me enough to sleep (compilations of Suga talking softly and quietly for sleep are the other trick). I owe so much thanks to him for this song for the peace and mental shelter it’s offered me. Pure lullaby and warm gentle hug in song form. Hope you and all other are able to stay warm this winter.

The best thing about the music video is that it was V's debut as a Director. Everything is your idea. The story, the photography, even the letter of the title is made by him. He filmed, photographed in his spare time between concerts (they were on tour at that time). He would go out at night or at dawn to gather materials for the MV

I put this on repeat at night and would sleep to it. I used to do that with V's 4 o'clock and replaced it with this song. V's Blue and Grey is another genius song imho. He has a great way thru lyrics and music of capturing what it is he wants to relay and putting you there.

Contrary to what a lot of people have come to think, V never said this song was about his grandmother. He did however say during a V-Live that the inspiration for this song was the proposal scene in the movie “About Time”. The male character proposes to the female character while she is sleeping. I can see reasons why this interpretation about it being about his grandmother was started, but it caught fire and people seem to be taking it as fact now 🤦‍♀️. @@MrKaibaoh yet he specified a specific part of the movie that inspired him when he talked about it. Anything else is pure speculation. It’s one thing to say “I think this is about his grandmother” or “I’d like to think this is about his grandmother” (art is often meant to be interpreted, even though he actually said what this one was about) but it shouldn’t be stated as fact like it always is. It’s just like when people say Stigma is about him saying he’s gay. There are people that want him to be gay so badly that they’ll look for any lyrics that could be interpreted that way if they really try. Not that it’s anyone’s business either way. If Winter Bear had to do with his grandmother I honestly think he would have proudly said so because of how much love he had for her. And yes, I do remember when they gave him a hard time about talking about his grandmother’s death. He’s never been one to cater to haters and by the time Winter Bear came out the open lawsuit on anyone doing that had been started. Tae would have said it was about her in spite of them.

You are right, almost all the footage is from GCF and you can see that. Jungkook has a very distinct style of filming, esp. when he films Tae. That is why almost all ARMY knew that LGO was directed by JK when they saw the first black and white sequence of Tae driving the car. It screamed JK!

There's a Bangtan bomb of the making of the mv, with V showing it to JK where JK asked about the lyrics. There's a Vlive with Jimin and Jhope the day after the release of the song. No one mentioned JK helping with the mv. This comment is the first time I hear this Army knowledge. I am a pandemic Army, is there official content where JK or V said they collaborated on the MV?

Tae said that he grab every day in the morning to don’t disturb the others activities of the group, he is a very discreet person any in the group was any notice about this song, was a surprise for Army. It’s true that Jimin make a gift to Tae, 2 little bear that Tae put in the video.

Morning John ! They are all so talented, probably why Army get so protective a lot of the time, we know how hard they all work to produce work like this. V is special, his range is nuts and he plays sax (and was practicing trumpet) so the jazz feel in a lot of his tracks reminds me of that genre / time of music.

During the process of song making or anything v put his 100% effort to that, like obviously if one person under the contract of company or something 50% company will help the artist to form a song according to the idea and talent of the artists. But in V 's case he will put his 100% into that and company is just for the support to his hard work. Bcoz of that he lost so many opportunities as a kpop Singer. I mean kpop always hold some kinds of modes to follow which will help to gain attention from the audience, but all V's styles in music which is completely opposite to what kpop demands ,his singularity is the best example for that. Whenever people reacts to V's songs they are finding out different genres of music, so their vision on kpop will change to that concept comparing to what they hear from normal kpop songs. His ability to write lyrics like a story will show the ability of him as an artists. Snow flower the song of V indirectly denoting the medical professional who worked during corona pandemic. When peakboy (his friend, musician) talked about this we were like 'wow'.... His baritone has the power to save kpop.

Sweet Night is my best favorite song among Taehyung's beautiful creations, followed by Winter Bear and Christmas Tree. In these songs you could feel Tae's emotions and how he create a story out of his music. Taehyung's is one of the best composers in his generation. His voice is soft, calm and very soulful. His range is perfect in almost of his songs!

Love this song So just to clear up some miss info about this song and the theories of it: (btw, these are proven facts) 1) Tae never said he wrote this about or for his grandmother, 2) yes Tae did say his inspiration for this song was from the movie “About time” (fantastic movie must watch) the proposal scene specifically, but that is as far as he says, does not explain why it was that specific scene 3) If you watch “Break The Silence: The Movie” Tae does explain that he wrote this for Army, he decided to write the lyrics in a language the majority of Army would understand. He said, “I’m not that good at English, but I wanted to write a song in English for ARMY all over the world.” 4) During a fan sign event, Tae was asked if he has any childhood nickname that his parents used to call him and Tae said that his dad used to call him baby bear but his mom would call him honey bear so I’m sure his grandma used one of those or maybe she came up with another word including bear So to sum it up, we all know that what we see of the members film by their company is at least partially scripted so who Tae wrote the song for is kind of unknown, all that I do know is that the movie “About time” is all about time travel and in Tae’s MV you see where he is walking forward, then all of a sudden everything and everyone one is walking backwards, or actually it’s depicting going back in time.
