Their voices were meant to be together. Lzzy's voice being more raspy, and Amy's voice being more smooth. Both voices are the perfect combination. Their voices have both sung me to sleep before. Hearing them both together makes my eyes water. Keep it metal. \m/

OK, Sister, you are a goddess, the very first part, and my brothers suffering, which has spiritually killed him. I am in control of his body, he has disassociated, was brought about one he for so long called his mother, the one who gave birth to him, killed him. Now, I've been forced to seek other means of housing, to rescue what is left of he once was, which is very little thanks to her, and take it away to construct him. But there are things I still need to bring the parts to life. I have the remainder of the heart and soul. I'm collecting the breath, the life giving element, I still need to collect the will, the spirit, and new makings of the shell that is unseen. Your glorious voice, words, are a part of the breath. your spirit, your compassion, your will, I collect and cherish and keep safe. You, my dear, know now, you are helping me to make, my new brother. So is many singers, including those two, and David draiman of disturbed, and sully Erna of godsmack. You, in essence, are a mother of a new being, know this, feel this.

I had this once in my life. Sadly my traumas and mental health issues caused her to fall out of love with me. Instead of fighting for her, I let her go. The good news is that it drove me to work on myself and make some serious changes in my life and major improvements in my mental health. The other good news is that years later her and I are still best friends and talk pretty much every day.

I've always thought of Lzzy Hale's voice as almost aggressively powerful yet still feminine; and Amy's as powerful but more vulnerable (yes, even in light of songs like Going Under and Everybody's Fool). The combination here is just utterly mesmerizing.

Are you trying to say that Lzzy has more grit in her voice? Is that the word you were looking for? Amy loved this song, so when Halestorm and Evanescence first toured together years ago, Amy would sing it with Lzzy on stage. About 2 years ago, they decided to finally make an official recording.

Amazing to me how Lzzy manages to sound powerful as hell, but also so tender and vulnerable at the same time. It sounds like it shouldn't work but damn is it beautiful! And when the harmony kicks in...nope...I lost it. But never make it through this song in one piece. I fight for me, no one else ever did.

Lizzy said she wrote this song as a love letter to the fans. The best part about it is that she wrote in general enough terms that there's a lot of other meaning that can be heard in it. Great songwriting!

Love this duet, it’s harmonic perfection. Lzzy and Amy are BFFs btw and just phenomenal with singing their emotions while writing relatable, depth-filled lyrics. Superstars. Thanks for reacting with your personal input and would love more reactions from either of their discography :)

Beautiful! This song, their voices, and your soul. The message of this song is so beautiful and you did an amazing job of summing it up. I think you're trying to say Amy has this soulful/haunting quality to her voice, especially when singing softly.

Great reaction as usual. Lzzy and Amy are both amazing singers and musicians. When I see Lzzy and Amy in the sentence, I watch. Some other Halestorm songs to check out are Back From The Dead, In Your Room and Beautiful With You. And you know I'm going to mention Wallflower by Jinjer. Keep fighting the good fight.

Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home always gets me. I can remember when my mind wasn't quite so jumbled and conflicted. "Secret Door" from Evanescence's album Synthesis touches on this.

WOW. What an amazing performance. I expected it would be good before going into it; Lzzy Hale sang backup on Evanescence's "Use My Voice" on their latest album and they've collaborated live several times before, but this is just a next-level master-class in two voices that line up flawlessly. Record review aside though, that line "yeah, it's perfectly reckless...." sat me back in my chair. SO poetic. This was amazing.

Lzzy has talked about how this collaboration came together in interviews, and it to me makes it just that much more cool. Years ago they were touring with a festival together, and Amy came to Lzzy and asked if it would be ok if she came out and sang harmony on Break In. Lzzy loved the idea and told Amy she could sing lead on it if she wanted, but Amy said it was just one of her favorite songs, and it would make her very happy to do harmony. Apparently the crowd went nuts for it that night at the festival, and it continued. Years later they decided to record this version in the studio together. When they showed up, each expected to do their own vocals and have them mixed together, but their producer said nope, you're just going in there together and going to sing it all the way through. So Amy and Lzzy sat down to decide how they'd put it together, and sang it a cappella, and it just came out naturally. So they went into the studio, did 6 takes all the way through together, and picked the best one. I believe this was their second time through. It's a true performance of the song, with two amazing vocalists and friends, just doing what came totally naturally for them. THAT, to me, is amazing.

Beautiful duet and 2 absolutely fantastic singers. Seeing both bands this year, Halestorm with Alter Bridge who is another suggestion for a listen, would start with Watch over you, which is just Myles Kennedy on his own (Billboard version is probably the best one) . He has also performed this song as a duet with Lzzy live a few times.

Im still in a place where I think people will just disappoint me at certain point and only see me at the surface of my being. That's why I still don't get too attached and just keep a neutral interaction with people. Im still afraid of that kind of pain when you believe you are special to them, to someone, but you're actually not. This song hits deep you know. Cause god knows how I wish i could finally say these very words to someone.
