Bought a new Harley-Davidson 4 months ago and I haven't stopped playing Bob Seger ever since. The two seems to go hand in hand especially 'Roll Me Away!'

I’m 52 now …and sometimes catch myself lamenting my younger days like this song does …but then realize that 52 will be my “younger days” before long …so I should appreciate 52 instead of wasting this time wishing I was 17 again!

I'm 69 and have come to realize that lamenting my age does not change it. One consolation of being this age is I have all the memories of the fantastic music from the 60's and the 70's that were the soundtrack of my youth.

Like A Rock is one of Bob Seegar's classic coming of age songs. The older i get, the more a can relate. Im 78 so i relate the hell out of it.

There were a couple of young stars in this video. Matt LeBlanc (Joey from Friends) & Daphne Zuniga (Princess Vespa from Spaceballs). He is a good one. All of his music tells a story & he & his band are musically talented. Thank you!

I was confused at first because the song came out 48 years ago in 1976. Matt LeBlanc was 9 years old. Now I see that Bob decided to make a video for the song in 1994.

i'm 70+ & we used to see Bob in the teen night clubs back in the 60's when he was rockin' it out. He turned into a story teller & ballad singer in a long career. His catalog is extensive so check out some more of his stuff.

Yes, I heard he wrote it about an affair with the Italian girlfriend of a friend of his, while the friend was away in the military.

Saw Bob open for KISS in 76. My 1st concert at 13. His hit was Katmandu

If you like songs that tell a story, you just found maybe the best guy for that. Bob is not only in the R&R hall of fame, but also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has a large catalog of music, and the Silver Bullet Band always brings it. Always one of the best live shows back in the day. Bob was born for live performing. Dive in😊

In particular when this came out, I was 18 and living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19, so buddy and I hooked up with a couple of chicks and drove down to Kansas (In a Chevy van) where the drinking age was 18. Yeah he wrote good pop songs and had success, but this of all the songs he wrote stands out -- the poetry, the story, the acoustic guitar, the gravelly voice, the organ, those kick-ass background vocals. You can see he deeply admired bobby dylan, mainstreaming the sound. Also picking up a lot of don mc'clean in there and his song american pie.

I hate that this video is the defacto reaction video for this song because it chops off the big build up at the end, it's not the full song.
