Right Adogg! They were famous for the Fast Tempo....slow tempo. Strings, keyboard, wind (harmonica) & OMG the BRASS🎺🎺 That's why we loved them, more than they know. I loved your reaction buddy. Rock-On Adogg❤
My favorite BST song, and a great performance. So much sound and influence. And, a very rare vocalist.
Blood, Sweat & Tears is a jazz-rock music group founded in New York City in 1967. They are noted for their combination of brass & rock band instrumentation. Especially love their stuff when David Clayton-Thomas joined as their lead singer. They have had a lot of great songs such as "You've Made Me So Very Happy", "Spinning Wheel", I'll Love You More Than You'll Ever Know", "Hi-De-Ho" "Lucretia MacEvil", "Go Down Gamblin'", "Lisa Listen To Me", "God Bless The Child" etc.

I might be wrong but I think David Clayton Thomas was Canadian?
David Clayton Thomas is the name to that astounding voice!!
I have never seen a live version of this song. Wow.
That sir was a freaking band! So good...
Music lives through you-tube. Thank you.
Fantastic reaction. You are so authentic and enthusiastic. God bless you.
Great song! I still get goosebumps when I hear this song ~ the lead singer is David Clayton Thomas. Check out the song, God Bless the Child ~ Thanks for reacting to this band. I was 14 years old when this song came out ~ I love it still.
@Adogg, you were great, I loved the way you reacted to this song, you were part of it like you just popped into the band!!
Great song!
Studio versions are essential with this band. Fire when you do. GOD BLESS THE CHILD is best song.

I remember my dad listening to their song Spinning Wheel when I was really little. You should check that one out sometime!
This is what you call good music. This is classic music that our Dad's listened to in the seventies and we had to as well because well they were our dads lol. So glad you are reacting to it. Not sure how many likes you will get since a lot of people don't know good music but keep it up because I surely will thumbs up it. Please do Spinning Wheel by Blood Sweat and Tears thank you❤
This is one of the best songs ever. Im so glad you discovered it and love it as much as us fans. Such a phenomenal song. Truly one of the best.
My favorite band as a kid. They can do anything
The singer is from Toronto, Canada. His former band was David Clayton Thomas and the Shays. (Way back in the day. Haha)
I knew Dave when he was singing in small clubs in Yorkville, Toronto in the early 60's . What a voice. Also we had Steppenwolf, Buffalo Springfield, Gordon Lightfoot and many more. Those were magical days. From time to time also Neil Diamond and Roy Orbison. What memories.

Also Levon Helm and Ronnie Hawkins were living in Toronto at that time too and formed The Band in Toronto
I have seen them in concert I was 10 years old I have a older sister she had to drag me with her .Lol Thanks Sis \
Love their sound! I like the tempo changes and the fact that they seem to be having so much fun. They have such a unique style. Hasn’t been anyone else like them. Watched it all with you Adogg. Thanks!
Real musicians - no synthetic anything, no autotune.
That was a fun performance, and I'm so impressed with the quality of the sound of this old footage. Masterful musicians!
They are a band from the late 60's and all I can tell you is, I have always liked that song. I remember hearing the song as a child around Christmas. It just stuck to me, something about it I can't explain, it just seemed to touch my heart. I'm 57 and have listened to all kinds of music, because I love music and I am not racist or prejudiced, I give all music a chance, but I love if I love and don't if I don't. I can be pretty critical , but I do give it a chance like you do. Peace ✌
I LOVE that they had so much fun in this performance. That's so fucken cool.
One of favs back in the day
“Mama Don’t Cry” is from the same album and still one of my favorites!!Straight sarcasm!!
Their cover of Billie Holiday's God Bless The Child is easily one of their best as well as one of the best covers ever done of that tune. I'd highly recommend it!
🥰
I remember this a kid also spinning wheel more my friends older brother would say be saying what saying what goes up must come down and I ran into thick galvanized pipe wash pole .Laundry was hung on a line outside.I was starting to cry they few years older told me to put grass on it I did and didn't cry .The kids my age would let me in .The older guys would let me play baseball with them I got good at .I had to compete against bigger and stronger kids.Once high school started everything separated.
BS & T is legend
There version of Billie Holiday “God Bless the Child” is the absolute best you will ever hear, I promise!!!!❤️
Please do check out the original by brilliant singer songwriter Laura Nyro, and then look into the rest of her amazing repertoire
