This was the last song the DJ played at my sister's wedding last weekend. The response to it just showed that it's a classic! 30 years old and still fresh!

Another classic! You guys should have been born in the 70's to get the full teen experience of these classics. You would've been teens when these songs came out. Love you for listening and remember..."never trust a big butt and a smile" :)

This is what they called New Jack Swing, which was basically a fusion of R&B, hip-hop and dance.

New jack swing. Definitely one of the best type of beats in hip hop and music. But gangsta rap kind of ended that era. Not a hater on gangsta rap, just saying. I used to love listening to NJS with my headphones like bbd and obviously my other 2 hometown boys Bobby and Ralph with new edition, and then Keith sweat, tony Toni tone, Another Bad Creation, The Boys (dail my heart), Joe Public’s Live and Learn, and more. Such a great time, more about and they still got a message across. I alsways used headphones cuz you could hear like every instrument and beat, that you sometimes can’t hear or too low without head phones. And that’s one of the things I loved about it has so many layers.

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys this yr at the Culture tour my first concert!!! I’m 49 yrs young and this song is still BANGING!!I love anything with New Edition,takes me back to high school yrs 🥰

This just shows how much talent was in New Edition. They created a new group from parts of the old group and still were 🔥.
