I am 59 years old. I was born in 1964 so I am so glad I grew up in the 60's and 70's and 80's. The Bee Gees are my favorite group and Elvis my favorite Singer. I am so glad I grew up in a golden age of music. Please react to Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson song All in Your Name.

I am so sad about that. Once, on Merv Griffin, Barry joked that they would be three old men singing in their 70s all hunched over their microphones. And he was the only one to live into his 70s.

I was born in 1963. My babysitter was a big fan and played their records all the time. So I was a fan when I was a little kid. Robin was always my favorite. Not a fan of disco, but those guys had so much talent they could adapt to anything and excel at it. My favorite is their old stuff before disco, especially I Started A Joke. My favorite song. And the stuff after disco I loved. I still shed tears when I hear Robin's voice. They were the soundtrack to my life. Always there and putting out new music until the twins died. But I have my memories, and all their massive catalog I can listen to. Even some of Robin's solo stuff that was released in the UK. I can start from their earliest releases as kids and work thru the entire day. I literally mean an entire day. Plus. And I often do that. It doesn't matter if you're late to the party. What matters is you got here. Welcome.

Just like you, BJ, I think that EVERY Bee Gees song is brilliant! I do like this one in particular because both the song and especially the video humanizes the 3 brothers, and expresses a great sentiment. Sadly, Barry, the oldest brother, is the only one left...now he's ALONE.

ALONE has always been one of my favorite BROTHERS GIBB song! They recorded it right before they did their ONE concert here in Las Vegas in 1997 after I moved here and I could have gone to it but was too cheap to pay for a ticket. I always regret doing that as Maurice died in 2003 and that ended it right there for them. There last album THIS IS WHERE I CAME IN is another fabulous album and the last one as The Bee Gees! Listen to that song next!

The year was 1977 and I was 6 years of age when "The Bee Gees" walked into my life. The soundtrack from Saturday Night Fever is a "WHOLE" vibe within itself, even back then.... 🪩 💃🏾 I love the group, but it's "Barry" that I "STILL" crush on! 🥰 RIP Maurice and Robin! 🕊️ Hands down, The Brothers Gibb are the GREATEST to ever do it, PERIOD! 🎶 🎤 💯

Your are so right about their honesty and genuineness. And you are about the 3rd reactor I've heard say they were born in the wrong time. I'm 78 and never truly appreciated the Bee Gees until Covid. Then I listened to and watched everything I could of them. I fell in love with all of them, including Andy. I did not realize they had so much more music than the disco era. So I've come to the party a little late too. Don't feel bad. Just so thrilled we have found them!

Bee gees the only band in history to have Written, produced, and recorded 6 consecutive No1 hits in a row, also the consecutive hits were between 1977-1979, The guys also had the best selling album in history until Michael Jackson brought out his Thriller album, Jackson mentioned the inspiration for the Thriller album came from the Bee Gees, Bee gees have written for many famous artists and are considered by many to be one of the best songwriters ever, great reaction thanks 🙏

You are right, they wrote over 1000 songs and nearby all og them are good. There is a video on youtube 100 top ten hits written by the Bee Gees and I love all of them and hundreds more which are not in this video. There is no other band (and I know and love/like many) having sooo many GREAT songs, one reason (among many others) why they are my favorite band! Alone is the opening track on their 21st studio album, Still Waters (1997), The track was a worldwide hit, peaking at number five in the United Kingdom and number two in New Zealand, where it was the 10th-highest-selling single of 1997. In Canada, it reached number 20 and was the most successful adult contemporary song of 1997 according to RPM magazine. On the US Billboard Hot 100, the single peaked at number 28, making it the Bee Gees' 30th and final top-40 hit in the US, after being a Billboard "Hot Shot" debut at number 34..

I just turned 60 (born 1964) and I am a second generation fan. My half-sister is 16 years older than me and became a fan of them in the late 1960s. When I was an 11-year-old girl in 1975 I saw them on some pop-show on TV doing Nights on Broadway and lost my pre-teen heart to Barry Gibb. I'd never seen a man that good-looking! Fun part is that my half-sister was also an Elvis fan (even more so than Beegees fan) and I knew several songs of his, but had never seen him in his prime. When he died in 1977 when I was 13, all the old stuff was shown again and, long story short, he bumped Barry to the second spot because prime Elvis was definitely THE most gorgeous man I've ever seen. But Barry remained a good runner up!

I love this song so much! It's so beautiful with such a nice beat to it. I agree. Their vocals have never been off no matter what they sang. And, to think they never had any musical training at all! To answer your question, I was born three years after this song was released. You think you were tardy to the party. Well, I didn't discover the Bee Gees until 2020. I mean, I was already, at least, semi-familiar with their songs, “Stayin' Alive” and “You Should Be Dancing”, but it wasn't from me playing them. I didn't, even, like them well enough to find out who the artist of them was; in fact, it had never, even, crossed my mind that both songs could be from the same artist. But, suddenly, the first time I heard them on my own, I was really into them.
