Misa and the entire band are great, but if you're not picking up on Akane's insanely great drums here, you weren't really listening to the song. She's god-tier on this song.

If you guys want to see MISA's pick to slap technique visually, you should watch the "NO GOD" live music video on the official page. There are two official live music videos for "NO GOD," so watch the older one that was released. This one was released during the pandemic, so it is a live performance without audience released via online streaming, but as far as I know, it is the video that shows MISA's technique most clearly in close-up.

Shambles is the 2rd season closing song for a Netflix anime series "Kengan Ashura", a brutal fight anime, started on Sept. 21st. If you like bass, don't sleep on their latest live release 'Don't you tell me" from their Nov. 2023 final concert of their 10 year anniversary tour.

Sitting here in a LA hotel and leaving for Tokyo tomorrow. Already hyped up for this trip, and you 2 just brought it up another level

As much as we all love Misa.......If you really listen.....Akane's drumming absolutely stole the show on this one. The double kick work is off the charts and the speed of her fills is lighting fast. And listen how she gets out of the way during Misa's solo....... A masterful performance !!!!!!!!

NO GOD live has a slap and pop bass solo that will blow your socks off, I'm not lying. If you listen to any of the online acoustic set you'll see her finger picking, or you can watch ABOUT US for combo playing. If you watch ONSET live you can actually see her switch from pick to pop and slap during her solo if you pay close attention. Just remember, without any of the parts it wouldn't be Band Maid.

Do "Don't You Tell Me" (Live), their latest MV teaser from the Yokohama 10th Anniversary show, which will be released Mar 27, 2024 on Bluray/DVD, Po! I think there is a little bit of the bass going down in that MV, Po! 🦍🍌

Guys, you need to jump to their most recent release. "Don't You Tell ME" (one of their older songs), the official LIVE video, is out on the Band Maid channel on KZread. If you love Misa's bass, you will love her "conversation" with Kanami on the video.

3:16 "they are not messing around." Yep, that pretty much sums up Band-Maid. *"Manners / Black Hole"* from a covid-era live stream. It's missing the crowd interaction but it's a good example of their range. The first song is old school groovy rock and roll (with MISA providing the groove). The other song is not. It's not messing around, either. Yeah, you're not going to get a group of Band-Maid fans to agree on which song is "best." Reddit polls will have maybe 60 songs mentioned and the top vote-getter will be under 10%. It's truly remarkable. There are _so many_ really excellent songs from this band.

Manners / Black Hole live next gets my vote, 2 very different songs. Manners is a groovy, bluesy, jazzy tune and Black Hole is sheer madness. Lots of bass goodness to keep you happy.

Since you like the Bass, "Onset" live from their KZread channel is a MUST. Watch Misa in her feature as she tucks up her pick. And it's not just what Misa does - the song is yet again another top tier banger ... an it's an instrumental where they ALL get a chance to shine. These guys will keep you busy for many months to come.

Watch "Without Holding Back." It's a really good instrumental with a lot of bass for you to enjoy.

Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. She switched from a 4 to a 5 string bass she felt it worked better for Band-Maid's music. She finger plucks on some of the slower songs but usually uses a pick. And just about everybody comments on how good her tone is. And finally, yes, "Don't You Tell Me" live from Yokohoma is a must.

I know you guys heard the panning on the vocals, but I couldn't. For some reason the music through your channel is coming over Mono here. What happened to the Stereo? Years ago the LIVE version of 'Don't You Tell ME' was pulled from KZread ahead of a DVD release. It had, and still has, the ultimate bass and guitar Call & Response "Battle". Now it can only be seen on the Chinese site Bilibili. The 9th song in the Zepp Tokyo LIVE concert. They kind of brought it back for Lollapalooza, but it wasn't quite there and was overshadowed by the one in 'Hate?' LIVE. Well, the brought it back for the Yokohama 10th Anniversary Tour Finale and it'as almost as good. You should check it out next.

@@ericifune5543 That's the best plan, Eric. And one that I use to fully support. But the more who see these two great concerts, the more fans Band-Maid will have. And IMO, Band-Maid should have ten times the amount of YT Subs they currently have. Look at The Warning. They are highly visible allowing access to most of their content. And they are growing much faster than the Maids. Band-Maid needs all the help they can get to grow at a clip that will allow them to reach a success level necessary to control their own destiny. Band-Maid mgmt. should release both these concerts. I'll bet the BD/DVD sales for Shinkiba and ZEPP are very low, if at all. So it's a trade-off -- continued restriction vs exposure of their older, great material. Most people have never heard of Clang, Fate, and dozen of other songs. That's a marketing misstep, imo.
