As for sounding like Adele, you need to play Adele's version first to be able to experience the major differences that AJ adds to make it much better than the original. We have come to expect her covers to be much better than the originals, but each time they exceed that and much more. Angelina is an ethereal genius and everything she touches turns to gold.

Angelina has many Adele covers. Adele is a great songwriter and singer, but she writes songs that are perfectly tailored to Angelina’s vocal skills. I love Adele, but I think it’s fairly clear that Angelina has incredible vocal range, tone, and texture that Adele can’t match. Some people may prefer Adele’s version, but this one shows how easily Angelina can make a song her own. If you are familiar with Adele’s “A Million Years Ago”, you must watch Angelina’s version when she was 12. It will change your view of how powerfully a very young child can deliver mature lyrics. It’s phenomenal. And her cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You” will have you shaking your head at how easily Angelina can continue to amaze you with such beautiful, emotive interpretations of Adele’s amazing lyrics.

Ahhhh this girl....her voice is like a gentle kiss to our ears! She has the voice of an angel. It is sweet and soothing and draws me in each and every time. She has brought me to tears more times than I want to admit. Haha she has a way of singing that truly tells the story and the emotions being conveyed in each and every song she takes on!! Though she has not lived through many of lyrics she sings about...you can almost feel she has. I mean maybe not in this life at least. She is definitely a reincarnation of many beautiful souls. Angelina arranges everything she covers and her originals too, she makes covers her own and most times better than the originals, Angelina’s voice control and technical ability surpasses other vocalist, Angelina is a musical genius, and plays guitar flute piano and violin, Angelina is absolutely amazing!

I tear up just seeing Angelina cuddling with her grandmother Mery at the start of the video. Mery is everything to Angelina and was a prodigy herself, for art and poetry, while growing up in Iran. Adele is an awesome songwriter but I much prefer Angelina singing those beautiful songs. Angelina's voice has a positive physical effect on me and I am addicted to having my soul hugged.

have you seen or heard Angelinas originals ? "Shield" at age 12, so dang good !!!, "7th Heaven" at 14 , also "Million Miles"( live in studio" in black and white at 14. these 3 songs are Amazing !!!!! make sure you watch and listen to "Million Miles" (live in studio) black and white. that version of the song is the 3rd one released by Angelina and her record label. the first 2 are from the c d versions and have more music and more production, which if you listen to the c d version and then the live in studio version, you will hear a big difference in the music plus the speed of the song. if you havent already, YOU REALLY NEED TO watch these 3 videos. actually , "7th Heaven has 2 different videos, similar but different. the first one was a "performance" video of her in like a night club setting, and the 2nd one is pretty much the same, but more of a music video style.

No disrespect to Adele, but when Angelina sings this song, it touches me deeper and is more emotional than when Adele sings it, and that would normally seem strange being that Adele lived this song, yet it is Angelina who makes me "feel" it. Angelina has done several of Adele's songs, and this one and "All I Ask" are the two most recent. I have no musical background at all, I just know what I like, and these two songs to me, are Angelina's. I feel she sang them better and more emotionally than Adele. Just the opinion of an old guy who has heard a bit of music in his life.

Adele lived this song. Angelina did not. I can only believe that Angelina's ability to empathize with what she got from Adele's original made this vocal possible. I think that Angelina's ability to move in and out of character protects her sanity - otherwise, she would be a raving lunatic if that kind of empathy went unchecked. Angelina and her team produced this cover within 48 hours of Adele dropping the original. I don't think people realize the logistics involved in doing such a thing. This is just how important Angelina Jordan is to her support group: AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 22 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years and toured with Barbara Streisand accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show that aired Dec 23 of 21, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? I understand why say that she sounds like Adele. We are trained to see similarities. However if you listen to both performances back to back you will notice many difference. From the timbre, I feel Angelina’s voice has more warmth and depth to it and her singing touches me more than Adele. You used the word coached. This word is an anathema to Angelina s followers. When she was six her teachers stated they had no more they could teach her. Angelina is basically self taught. Professional voice teachers have stated that at the age cod 10 she had the ability to teach a masters class in voice. Don't believe anyone is coaching her. Her song choices and arrangements are all her and have been according to her mother from the age of five. At seven she is seen showing adult musicians how she wants it and how to do it. By the age of late eight she was affectionaly referrred to as the boss.

Quite disappointing when I hear Adele sing this. Especially the music video with the laughing at the end. Just my opinion of course And taken aback, when I listen to Angelina’s version. I wish Adele and her writers would do something specifically for Angelina. They are so in the groove with Adele. 🌸

in this video Angelina is 15 years old. and as far as her being pitch perfect Adele, NO. Angelina sings Adeles songs BETTER thand Adele, and that is in no way meant to be a put down for Adele.

Adele's voice is very good. it is powerful and clear.but adeles voice lacks the depth.the expressiveness that angelina puts in her voice.angelina has so many possibilities and techniques to bring expression into the singing, so that you don't just hear the text, you experience it.

Angelina isn't being coached at all. The industry follows her lead and she is referred to as "The Boss " by all the musicians that has worked with her including Republic Records who signed her in August of 2020 as their High Priority Artist at only 14 years of age. Angelina was 15 years old when this video was recorded in 2021 and she is 16 years old now as of January 10th 2022.
