Great reaction but I have the impression that you may not be aware that the song that brought you here, "Man of Constant Sorrow", was actually performed by this group and in the movie George Clooney was merely lip-synching. Here’s a live performance, and the singer is Dan Tyminski: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6l-mtp-cty7lpc.html

Alison Krause is pitch perfect, and has incredible breath control. Listen to her sing. When You Say Nothing At All. Also listen to Rhiannon Giddens: Wayfaring Stranger. For Country I love Johnny Cash, and all the songs on the album for the movie about him Walk The Line are great, but especially God Will Cut You Down sung by him when he was old and sick. One of the reasons that I like Country in all its forms is that you can listen to real musicians, and artists who can sing and also play an instrument. One of the best guitarists is Vince Gill. Give a listen to Tulsa Time with him, Sheryl Crow, and Eric Clapton, and Vince alone with Go Rest High On That Mountain. Oh, almost forgot: Linda Ronstadt with Blue Bayou.

Jerry Douglas, Ron Block, Barry Bales, Larry Atamanuik, and Dan Tyminski are absolute professionals, the best in the business, and Alison Krauss just tops it off at the supreme amount of talent this band has! They are one of my go to's when it comes to listening to great music. One of my all time favorites, which is a cover from the band Shenandoah, is "Ghost In The House". The live version of that is spectacular! Also, Alison's work with greats like Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, and Led Zeppelin's rock god Robert Plant just cement her as one of the keystones of music and musical talent!

If Bluegrass had royalty Alison Krauss' family would be royalty...I saw her and her family sing years ago when she was 12/13yrs old...a banner day...sitting on a hill, having a picnic and listening to outstanding music...ps, this is my favorite song of hers for personal reasons

The most beautiful song is Alison singing "River In The Rain." Union Station sang for the Soggy Bottom Boys in OH Brother Where Art Thou.

Her and Vince Gill have the sweetest voices. The duets she does with him are perfect. Might I suggest Go Rest High on that Mountain.

My silly butt requested you react to Alison without realizing you'd done this one 🤓 Whiskey Lullaby is a duet with Brad Paisley that shouldn't be missed IMO. Really enjoy your channel. Greetings and well wishes from Oregon.

Alison got her start as a very young girl in the bluegrass seen and progressed into country music and has made many many albums. She also made a few albums with Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant which I thought was a crazy pair but was wildly amazed at the music they made together.

There are dozens of great bluegrass artists old and new - it’s my favorite genre of music and has been for years. Anything by AKUS will be stellar. One of my current favorites that has a video is “Hannah” by Authentic Unlimited. An all-time favorite that is just audio is “The Mountain” by Ronnie Bowman. That song is like a bluegrass string orchestra with great harmonies backing one of the best male vocalists ever.

I saw her and Union Station in 1994 and in 2023 with Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). Check out anything from Raising Sand or Raise the Roof. The two albums they did together. Both Grammy winners.

Vince Gill started in pop and he writes beautiful songs, incredible guitarist. His voice is so beautiful and smooth. He had success in pop but loves his Country music because of story telling. He wrote a song when his brother passed. "Go rest high on the mountain" it gives you goosebumps and a tear. ❤️

Polo. I totally fell in love with Alison Krause in mid 1994, when I heard Alison for the first time. She and the Union Station were performing on a program called " Austin City Limits"- I said the same thing as you: "She has an angelic voice. :-) I still love her. :-) p.s. She has had some vocal cord problems, over the years. Think she is OK now. I know you love her too. :-)

I know exactly why it moves you, bro. While this is on a stage in an auditorium with mics and amps, they could play this in your living room or on your patio. It's the reality and purity of the wonderful musicicianship that hits you in the soul. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate your reactions, man. Hope that makes

I went to see O Brother Where Art Thou and people were singing along with all the old songs that I knew. I went directly to the music store and bought the soundtrack! My dad was from Tennessee so I grew up with country music. He and mom played guitars and their friends played guitar and piano. We lived in tiny towns growing up and they played for dances locally. Love your reactions. Keep great music alive young man 👵🏼💜☮️
