The Oscar winning documentary about him is called "Searching For Sugarman" and it will blow your mind.

There was a documentary done on this guy. He is from Detroit, MI. Some how his record made it to South Africa during a time when there was a lot political tension. He was bigger than Elvis. It’s called Search for Sugarman
I hadn't heard some Sixto in a good minute, but remember a teacher telling us about him and his story when I was in high school

@@notrashtolerated No, it's about the story of how he disappeared for decades except for in South Africa until two fans found him through the internet and he became the star he always should have been. It's absolutely a must-see, one of the best documentaries ever. Genius lyricist and songwriter from Detroit who released two phenomenal albums that went nowhere in the USA but in South Africa he sold more records than Elvis.
Its about a cheating girlfriend.
Watch the documentary. It's one hell of a story. His music is hauntingly beautiful and the lyrics are like Dylan.
