Parasite and Squid Game!

When I first saw this I had to watch it 10 times in a row I could not stop. To understand his emotions you need to know that Hyoshin was treated very badly by his first entertainment company. He was put on a harsh performance schedule and because of that he developed a neurological problem that makes it impossible to sing in key. His company held him to his contract and he even had to sell his house to pay them off. At that time he decided to do mandatory military service. Another blow was the suicide of a close friend. After a four year hiatus he returned to the stage. This song was a huge hit in Korea and therefore it is very emotional for him to sing it, because he was literally reborn when he released this song. The man behind the piano is his friend and composer. He is also the composer of the film music of the Oscar winning Korean movie Parasite. Hyoshin is considered one of the best singers in Korea and he is also a musical star of great acclaim.

He wrote this song with the pianist - it is his story. That is why he cried at the end. He had a hard past and he relives it through this song. It makes me cry every single time I hear it. He is an incredible vocalist, very technical. He is quite reclusive - not a typical idol. He sings everything with so much passion.

The song is a metaphorical representation of his life and hardships he dealt with.

Wild Flower is one of THE great Korean songs. Park Hyo Shin's voice carries you with him. Side note: Jung Jae Il, the pianist is Park Hyo Shin's good friend and co-wrote the song knowing what his friend had been through. He is a famous composer and music director for the films Parasite and Haemoo, and TV series Squid Game = )

It's because this song is his own story. He's been through some really tough times. Because of agency issues.

You guys are spot on. The wildflower represents himself. The loneliness and hardship he went through as a no-name singer. The pain repeats itself as you pass the prime of your career. The words are very poetic.

He was one of the most popular singer in Korea, but he had really bad deals with the entertainment industry and fell ill from nothing but strainious schedules they put him under, and he lost his closest friend to suicide on top of that. He literally was going through all the hell life was throwing at him, but he endured it all and really bloomed again with the song.

I'm a huge fan of Hyo Shin and his pianist Jae Il. I think of Wildflower as sort of a duet between them, and Jae Il as a sort of mad genius. Ibrounen explained why this is so emotional for them below. You should definitely do at least one more reaction to him. His song HOME is fantastic, especially the live version. He was just a phenomenal talented young man with passion in singing, but that talent plunged him into the toughest times of his life. This song is about that time of struggle. Please listen to TV show "your song" it has subtitle and I wanna recommend song like the sound of winter in there. You can hear his versatile vocals.

Korea is best known for its dance music (Psy: Gangnam Style) or K-POP idols (BTS, Blackpink, etc.) But there are some seriously great singers like So Hyang and Park Hyo-Sin.

💕💕 I will borrow words from one of his fans: (I am sorry but I dont remeber his/her name). I will borrow words from one of his fans: The song is about all his struggles in life. His close friend, who he even called brother, committed suicide. His label didn't pay him anything for a long time, so he didn't have a chance to rent a studio to even practice. His agency forced him to perform very often with little to no rest, he collapsed many times and finally fell really sick and even got spasmodic dysphonia(issues with vocal cords that make them spasm and unable to produce proper sound). Because he didn't perform after that, his agency sued him for breach of contract, he had to pay 3 billion won, which is roughly 3 million USD and had to file for bankruptcy. I'm not completely sure, but I heard he was even forced to sell his house with all the belongings to pay up, it was a court order.This was all while he was serving in the military, which is mandatory for all Korean males, it lasts for 2 years.💕💕

It’s hard because this is actually my least favorite performance of this song, in terms of the way he sings it, but the emotion is next level because what the song means to him. I think this is a good one to watch first, and then either another live performance or the MV where you can get the whole vocal experience of his amazing voice. Well this song is about his personal life/journey of his career. He former agency were just trash and did him so dirty and this song is a product of the hard times he went through and how he bloomed even after all the horrible things he went through due to his label.

oh dude it's not your fault. dumb broadcast company did a silly thing. who can't laugh at the piano player's head-banging like that? even if I'm a Korean I couldn't stop laughing and later felt angry due to the foolish edit. lots of reactors I've ever seen almost had pain to stop laughing at that scene.
