Nightbirde worked as a waitress at the Olive Garden in my hometown and she was even more sincere in real life. Sadly, Jane passed away over the weekend and her life is no longer full of pain. She passed in CA. where she was being taken care of by her older brother. At a later date her family is going to have a celebration of life to honor Jane.

Never met her but I wish I had. Everything about her from her character, physical appearance, singing, personality, attitude… just everything is amazing. I could have given her a trillion golden buzzers that day and it wouldn’t have conveyed how I feel about her and her story

Well, she's gone now to be with the angels.

Nightbirde was an angel on earth for a short time, now she's an angel in Heaven for eternity, and what a special soul she was. Wish I was as strong as she!

Nightbirde flew home on Sunday. She now flies so high i can't see her. But I can hear and listen to her Everyday. RIP Jane.

She died a few months after that audition. She was such a beautiful soul. She blessed us with the beautiful song It's OK. AMAZING

As a 3 time cancer survivor I pray for Nightbirde everyday!!

day I was born I was given a 0% chance of survival... The day I was baptized I was given a second chance... The last day of my life is 100% chance of eternal life ... Survival is in the heart of the beholder...

Thanks for reacting to this very memorable performance. Having been diagnosed with cancer in 1984, I used my desire to see my kids grow up as my motivation. They’re pushing 50 and I’m still standing.

RIP Nightbyrde. You left such a powerful message

I've watched this about 15 times on different platforms. Having had a sibling who went through chemo and radiation for 6 months and lost the battle, it's incredible what she is able to accomplish with what she's going through. I try to take strength from her attitude but, honestly, having lost a sister, 4 animal companions and, just 2 months ago, my precious mother, I am struggling tremendously. I do not know how she stays so strong and positive. Bless her and I wish that that 2% results in survival. Go, Nightbirde!

Love this girl and wish her the blessings of healing in Jesus Christ name.. I look at her and think of all the things that she is going through and husband just get up and tells her he cant deal with her medical issues and. Leave and later she is served with divorce paper . My tears keep falling. I can't understand how he could do that ...

My best friend passed away Tuesday after a 5 year cancer battle at 50 years old. She was buried today on what is her 5th wedding anniversary and being in Ireland I had to watch the funeral online. I got to drive the 7 hours to say goodbye though and this song really speaks to me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇮🇪

I have watched her over and over again. Thank you God for sending her to help us put things in perspective. Go rest high on that mountain Nightbirde, can't wait to meet you in heaven someday 💗✝️🙏

The second the camera hit her face, I was spellbound by her beauty n that glow she radiates but as soon as she started singing my eyes teared up so by the time she stopped I had tears rolling down my cheeks 1 if my agents was looking at me, he asked "Boss are you crying?" I was just blown away by everything about her!!!!

Thank you for posting this wonderful video. I first saw the video a couple of weeks ago and have watched many interviews that she had. Always sweet, positive, uplifting, humble and transparent. Her husband of four years left her when the doctors told her that she only had weeks to live. She fought back from that and the cancer to bless us all with her spirit and songs. I even watched the funeral on line and found out how she invested herself into the youth group at her church, and of her strong Christian faith. We lost an angel on earth, a beacon, but heaven gained another precious child. Rest in peace Nightbirde, you are not suffering any more.

She was this beautiful angel with a beautiful smile and even though she is in heaven with all the other beautiful angels the message in her song lives forever in the hearts of millions of people around the world. In fact in the 18th season of AGT a choir from South Africa sung a tribute to Nightbirde which caught the judges by surprise and Simon to tears.

It was such a sad day when we lost her. Such a beautiful voice and soul. Much can be learned from her

I understand this sentiment, and it was my first reaction, and at the same time, you can’t downplay what watching someone you love waste away will do to a person. We all have the instinct to run and hide from pain.

That line she spoke about not waiting to be happy is ICONIC!

Her strength is a blessing from God. The light of God shone in her, you can see it. Great reaction peeps, keep up the good work.

Watching this now and knowing that she's gone made me so emotional and then the song is so powerful I started crying

I loved hearing her...she is like a little bird...I sent this to my brother, who was also a singer...He had some fame in the early 70's...He loved her...I didn't know at the time that my dear little brother, who I called my Irish Twin..was so sick with Cancer himself...I'm not sure he knew..It was just so fast it seems...But he died October 21, 21. Life is like a whisper, a sacred moment...a precious time...But LOVE is outside of time.. it never dies...

Rest in peace nightbird...I actually listened to this song when they were screwing the halo on my head last month. I just let the tears fall that hurt. Now my hair is falling out from the gamma knife.

I know I'm late getting to the party but one of the tragic things that happened to Jane was her husband left her when she was diagnosed but she perservered and continued to move forward. There's a great tribute on AGT by the Mzansi Youth Choice from South Africa. Check it out. The strength Jane displayed through the entire process floors me. I don't know if I could have done it.

I loved this audition and just her in general she is so strong it was so sad to hear that she had to pull herself from the competition due to her illness and did unfortunately this horrible disease did take this amazing soul from everyone. I have researched nightbirde and her life I found some more gret music from her it is on youtube some by her real nameand some by nightbide if you get the chance you should check some out she was married up till a couple of years ago and her husband just couldnt deal anymore with the cancer and all that goes with it teatments being sick and so on so they got divorced and she actually has a song for that time in her life as well and in it she doesnt even blame him for leaving she has been going through all the cancer stuff since she was like early 20's and she still has this kind of out look to life it amazes me her strength and her will to live
