I love DPR Ian. He is so talented and unique. He produces, edits, directs and writes his music.

"I watched up until this point" 🤣 WARNING LONG COMMENT, I love DPR and explaining more about them. I loved your reaction! I'm so glad that you were able to stumble upon the DPR universe and see his amazing interview before you even saw his music. So yes, DPR is more of a "collective" of different artists in a way. They all have seperate roles and music careers but fall under the same umbrella of DPR. As of now, their are 4 music artists under DPR, along with another director. DPR LIVE was the first music artist out of the company in 2017 and is a rapper/singer. DPR CREAM is a singer/songwriter and music producer who began releasing music around 2019. DPR ARTIC is a music producer and Dj who was the most recent music artist to join DPR earlier this year. DPR JSON is a visual director who is the newest member of DPR who very recently made his directors debut working on DPR CREAM's MVs for his release in May. And finally, DPR IAN who was once just the visual director for the MVs of LIVE and CREAM in the beginning before he begain releasing his own music in 2020. Then, he began directing all of his own MVs as well as the other members MVs. I'm a devoted dreamer (DPR fan name) so I would love to give you more insight into Ian's story and other recommendations so you can see his music and storyline unfold in order. So like you mentioned, Ian does also have DID which makes his bipolar switches much more intense in a way. So yes MITO represents his bipolar lows, while also being his "protector alter" in a way with his DID in as MITO tends to front to protect Ian from trauma or harm. Ian also has an alter that represents his manic highs of bipolar called Mr. Insanity, who is wreckless and doesn't care about consequences which can be quite dangerous at times. As far as his music storyline and things go, I'll try to explain it the best I can at a base level. Ian's first two album music releases focus on the story of MITO, whereas his latest EP "Dear Insanity" talks about the origins of Mr. Insanity in the storyline. It might get confusing at first trying to see the symbolism of real life in his songs versus the prominent storyline aspect, but just know that all of his releases tie together in some way for the storyline. Ian has also just revealed recently that he has another alter know as "The Hybrid" who is going to be a new character and be the focus of his next EP music release. SAINT was actually one of the first released singles of that EP and new "arc" in his storyline. Since The Hybrid is a new character/alter Ian has revealed to us not that much is known, but we do know that Ian does not want to reveal the real name of this alter as he does not want to give it any power over him since it is like the worst parts of both of his other alters overlapping in a way. Also, just to help you out in the future with watching his videos to help distinguish between when MITO, Mr. Insanity, or The Hybrid are shown in MVs, here are their signature signs: Each alter has 3 representing colors identify them by, along with other things MITO: Black, white, and red 🖤🤍❤ Mr. Insanity: Purple, green, and gold/yellow 💜💚💛 The Hybrid: Red, green, and blue ❤💚💙 Also, the colors of The Hybrid are a nod that it has parts of both of his other alters, sharing red from MITO and green from Mr. Insanity. For MITO, he has a deeper voice in Ian's MVs when speaking dialogue compared to Ian, so that is a way to tell. Also, MITO will usually be shown in black and white (not always) and have a missing eye. Whereas Mr. Insanity is almost always shown with more vibrant colors, gold eyes, and confetti/glitter around him. The only distinguishing thing we know for The Hybrid as of now is blue eyes, which are seen in the SAINT MV once you get to that. I know that was a lot on info, but don't worry it will make more sense as you watch his MVs and things. As far as recommendations for what you should check out next, in a reply comment below this one I will leave a list of all of his MVs in order with their respective music release albums so you can know once you have seen all the MVs for each album to go back and listen to the full albums if you would like to do it that way and follow the storyline/progression of his music. I will also include other videos in my list that give insights to his music/storyline in order that you can also check out. But I have to say, as a Dreamer I fully enjoyed your in-depth reaction and the fact that you could relate more of it to his personality after seeing the interview. If you don't want spoils for the other songs on the EP that don't have MVs you might want to listen to that before watching. Moodswings In To Order (First full album, 2nd part of MITO story/releases) He has no MVs for this release, but he did have videos for it: Moodswings In To Order: Official Documentary Preview This is a behind the scenes type video for his main release for the album. No music spoilers, just some visuals. Ballroom Extravaganza (MIITO Movie Teaser) This is part of one of the songs off the album paired with teaser visuals for the main release for the album. You may watch both of these after you see the 7 minute MIITO movie if you don't want visual spoilers, but this is just the official release order. Seraph | 1 Shot | Mood | Ribbon : Official MIITO movie: Part 1 This is the only release Ian made for his album and it is a medley of 4 of the songs with bits of storyline. These are not the full songs, so you can still listen to the full versions on the album. Dear Insanity (2nd EP, but first release surrounding Mr. Insanity) It's interesting because Ian released these MVs in reverse order that they go in the storyline and actually in the EP so that us fans wouldn't know the full story until all of it was released. I'm putting this in the correct order, not the release order. Don't Go Inane Don't Go Insane: Official Teaser (This is a storyline video that connects the MVs) So I Danced Peanut Butter and Tears Also, all of the songs on this EP do have official visualizer videos on KZread. So if you want you can check them out in order as well to see the whole EP. It honestly takes you on the full journey with Mr. Insanity when you listen to it all in order. SKINS (demo) Now, this video is VERY different from all the others in this list. It is it's own seperate release that is NOT part of the storyline of Ian's at all. I know you mentioned how Ian said he channel's music to help cope with his disorders, and this is the epitome of that. Ian has said in the past that whatever music he makes when he is truly going through it mentally with his switches or when he blacks out never sees the light of day. This is because it is very personal and often times too dark or honest to be seen by others. But this song is his exception to that. This song was created by MITO when Ian went through a really bad switch at the end of last year and totally blacked out for a few days. Ian said that when he finally came back to himself, he was left with this song, unfinished and raw. Along with an MV that MITO had gone out and filmed himself with members of Ian's team that he truly trusts. Ian has no memories of making the song or filming the video. But, he decided to just release it because he thought it was beautiful and truly wanted to share it with the fans. We can see the true, vulnerable, real MITO in this video. Not the story version, but the real one that is a part of Ian. Ian's latest two releases are going to be part of The Hybrid EP when it comes out: Limbo SAINT Well, that is all of his releases in order. loved the reaction! i truly appreciate when people manage to go into dpr ian with some context, because the context from ian as a person is soo important to his art. looking forward to more reactions! and i agree with everyone confirming to watch his music, particularly the videos, in order of release. the trailers are also usually important to the story. also i watched up until this point!

I watched up until this point! 😊 Can't wait to see more reactions! All of his music videos connect as a large ongoing story starting with 'So Beautiful'. The lore is complex but simply put there is a dream world called 'The Otherside' which is ruled by a clown god named Mr. Insanity who is enemies with Mito (The one with the missing eye worn on his ring, also represented as a fallen angel with black wings). Ian is the main character who has DID (both fictional and in real life) who switches between Mr. Insanity, Mito, and a new character shown in the new Saint MV with blue eyes called The Hybryd. Enjoy!!! Also his music genre is alternative experimental, he does everything from rock to edm to r&b etc. Ian also writes, produces, mix/masters, directs and edits all of his songs and music videos. He plays almost all the instruments on his songs too (drums, bass and electric guitar and piano) he often shows his process on live stream which is fun. He directed and featured in an MV called Shopper for singer IU, I recommend watching that MV plus the DPR documentary showing how Ian directs ❤

Thank you very much for your reaction to the wonderful Christian❤ Loved that you researched and learned a lot about the singer before making a reaction)) I look forward to further reactions to Christian😊 Due to bipolar personality disorder, Christian has multiple personalities and with one eye being Mito (one eye is normal and the other is white), this is his depressed side. There is also Mister Insanity (Mister Insanity, for example, is shown in the "So I danced" video) and Hybrid (who is shown in the new "Saint" video, he has blue eyes)). P.S. I'm from Ukraine so I apologize for my bad English❤🙏

Hello, to help you better explain Christian to others, I am commenting to let you know that being bipolar and having multiple personalities are two different things with different diagnoses. It is important not to mix this up and I hope you will correct this in the future. 🤗

I just subscribed welcome to the dreamer family :) it is def important to react to the videos in order. Starting with so beautiful so I’m glad you did that. The next ones are no blueberries and I think nerves and scaredy cat are next. If I get this wrong please other dreamers correct me. He also has the Mito movie which is amazing. I don’t think it’s important for you to watch that in a certain order. And yes he does have DID with his bipolar. Mito is his lows but also protects Christian. Mr insanity is his highs and can be quite a trouble maker hahah. The missing eye is Mito. You can also be able to know Mito by that or if it’s black and white. But he also has a very deep voice. Christian has stated he can’t get his voice that low. He just can’t. But Mito can. But hopefully someone gives you the mvs in order. And I watched it up to this point ❤ also DPR the company is co owned by Christian aka DPR Ian and also DPR live. They do have more in the company though.
