This vid warmed my heart ! Lol so glad you got to experience true Vtec from a car like this. Even the VTEC in my 9th gen Si isn’t as special as the one in this. S2000’s hold a special place in my heart . Fun fact: Honda and McLaren collaborated in the 80’s and early 90’s in F1 and the S2000’s gauge cluster is straight out of the MP4/8 F1 car!

As long as gasoline engines are allowed on public roadways, the S2000 will continue to be special and continue to rise in legendary status.

I love those gauges. With the proliferation of digital screens in vehicles I would love to see more manufacturers throw in some retro style gauges.

Nice video and great comments about the S2K. I also have a 2001 AP1 silver with black interior and I love my car. Nothing like it on the road and the classic roadster look is well, classic. Always makes me smile and when I hit the 9K redline, I grin like a madman. Cheers!

I've loved these for years. My gf at the time had a silver S2K and I had a G35 coupe. We would trade cars a lot. That Honda was fun 🎉 It stood the test of time, the car not relationship 😂

S2000 great car high rev very reliable engine as long as you do good oil maintenance to avoid oil burn in VTEC.

This car had a major problem, price. When it was new it was 5K more than a Prelude. In NYC you need the FWD for the snow. Everybody bought the Prelude.

Nicely done. I had a MY2000 with the plastic rear window. The car was a blast but it was like driving next to a chain saw. I would get a headache after an hour.

My favorite car of all time! Although the AP2 looks better, the AP1 engine was a little more fun due to higher redline.

Lol did you say your wrists hurt? Also that key was kinda looking like a weapon in your hand there brother Que! (Only The MOC will understand that key part lol) This car seemed to be waaay ahead of it's time, and it seemed to be really well built too from you saying that it felt like a new car when you were driving it. Right now the only companies I feel that are still building great vehicles like this is BMW, Subaru, Mazda, Honda, and Chevrolet because even though they discontinued the Camaro at least they are still building the Corvette.
