he's not a very complete athlete ( never won any events), but when it comes to grip strenght challenges he's definitely one of the strongest in the history of the sport...probably the strongest considering age.

Mark has his limitations especially with overhead lifts, but he remains my all time favourites.
So Eddie remains insanely strong despite shaving off loads of mass - and Mark Felix, wow! Much respect all.

Only 40 seconds in but had to pause to shoutout to the videographer. That drone flight into single take walk-in from the arena entrance down the stands to the competition floor right into Eddie's introductory monologue is an impressive piece of videography!

Literally bad drone flying. The transition is just a pre-made effect. The fast walking was nice but indeed it's just him walking with the camera and then speeding it up. I'm not saying he's bad at his job, but how are you people so easily impressed?
Eddie is like the Karpov of Chess, still goes to competitions but for fun at this point.

@@brandonwilliford9879 You know nothing about steroids. There is a 0% chance a man in his mid fifties could compete at this level without them. Literally zero. In fact, i could argue that if real drug testing ever entered strongman contests, we would find that they are ALL on something...
Kudos to the last guy in the red team on the power stairs. He lost, but still after everyone else was going to celebrate he still seen it out and finished for his own sake. Maybe not a champion, but thats a good work ethic.

It was definitely healthier for his body to drop some weight and take a break from competition but i can’t say I haven’t missed seeing him compete. It’ll probably never happen realistically but another run for wsm would be cool to see

Eddie with that hammer was incredible. You saw pure will power over manpower. Halfway in he was done but his pure determination took over. Sloppy yes incredible hell yea.

This was the first strongman event I’ve been to live and can honestly say I absolutely loved it! Shame about the what happened with the viking press but the end was fantastic and Eddie you are a great leader. Will definitely go to the next one if I can.

If there's anything that can prove you're still THE BEAST, it's that. I winced in sympathy when I saw you pull away from the Viking Press with that injury, and I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

It was so great seeing Eddie compete again. It was a great idea to do the team challenge which allowed Eddie and the others compete in specific events and as a team. Looked like it was a lot of fun and glad to see Eddie smiling afterwards.
Seeing Eddie there cheering on his teammates for every event was awesome
definitely need to see more of the ladies in this type of competitions, was absolutely incredible, amazing and fun to watch!

Trey was straight against the pole while Eddie was leaning out from the waist down, reason why he kept getting corrected by the ref, despite that. Great to see the fire in Eddie’s eyes back in comp when he’d look at trey. True fighting spirit of “I’ll die here right now to beat you”.
The forward hold was amazing, it looked like Eddie was gassing out first but he persevered through it and won

Since then you have entertained but always with a competitive edge and respect for strength events and performance. You are a true role model for the sport, regardless of national divides. I'm super impressed that the women are also doing the same feats of strength even though they were toned down. I wasn't sure how the event was being played out but God damn those women have my respect all the way especially since they did the same weight as the men
