This was an online concert during the pandemic. Jimin is magic indeed and he knows what he is doing, he is so ethereal is unreal. I would love you to react to Serendipity live or JK’s My time (such a good song and lyrics) and of course V’s Singularity is always a great choice. ♦️Jimin said in an interview that he wanted the concept of the song to be to present himself to the world in many different ways! Jimin also said that it's about perspective & prejudices as well!! Aside from saying in the song that I can be anything you (army) want me to be for you, I believe that Jimin is also trying to tell so many army that keep saying things like he's insecure, weak, or helpless, and needs protecting, or just cute or sexy, or just any one thing, whatever army indeed wants to think he is, isn't the real him! That he wears whatever 'filter' that army wants him to be, but indeed in reality is so not him!! That's why army are continually surprised when they see a glimmer of the real Jimin, the way more self assured, demonstrative, take charge, confident, charismatic, alluring, at times sexy, person that kills on stage! So this (pure genius) song, that the CEO 'Hit-Man Bang' (called that since way back when, as a producer, whatever he was involved in became a hit) Mr. Bang Si Hyuk, himself, was actually involved in writing the ever so genius lyrics, that Jimin had a hand in as well. The song's lyrics have more then one meaning!! So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much.

Oh, Jimin is definitely MESMERIZING. When I first was learning who was who, I was immediately struck by Jungkook, but my eyes kept going to Jimin. His foot position is stunning. I kept asking who is the one with the pretty feet?? Also, I love how Josh is the one who was blushing.

It was their Map of the Soul ON:E online concert on Oct 10/11 of 2020. There were ARMY selected to watch live on LCD screen that BTS was able to see and hear. If I recall correctly, there were over 1 million people streaming concurrently.

Ok now on to jimins performance of Filter, all I have to say is he killed me with both performances of this song, Jimin is my ult bias but he still manages to wreck me all the time and this performance was no different, thing thing that killed me was those sexy yet sensual dance moves and those velvety smooth vocals of his. I found the way he put on and took of his hat and jacket quite sensual (but that just might be me lol). This song is my fav from the Map Of The Soul 7 Album, the sound kinda gives of Latin vibes and sound happy but the message behind the lyrics aren't that bright. Also I had the exact same reaction as u and I couldn't keep my eyes of jimin during the entire performance and like I already said he is my ult bias and still manages to wreck me

L, LOVE the hair! Online concert. His clothes were tear away. There is a behind the scenes with Jimin and his dancers practicing the entire performance. He struggled with the weight if the two layers of clothes.

Definitely an iconic performance. I would recommend watching My Time, JungKook's solo performance during the ON:E concert also. It is epic. Love you guys! 💜

Loved your Jimin buildup! I love the Jimin Effect videos. (I'm that old lady that wants to put JM in pajamas and feed him a nice dinner.😄)

Filter is actually pretty sad. Jimin sings about how he would literally be anything people want him to be, to the point of erasing himself to "mold" a pretty lie and be loved (this is a direct reference to the song Fake Love and to his other solo song "Lie"): Another interpretation could be of him actually accepting that he isn’t just one thing that people told him to be and he actually is a human full of charms and surprises that can impress anyone with whatever they want The meaning we got from the performance was another one. At the beginning of his career he wanted to look manly and worked hard to act like a macho and stressed himself for being always at the top and appreciated. Then he learned how to embrace his true self and mix the palette (as he said in the lyrics), he wants to be true to himself and be whoever he wants without limits, so having both "feminine" and "masculine" features. And it's linked to both the temporary tattoos he wore during D-2 and the photoshoot in 2019 where he has a tattoo of the bigender symbol, further representing his duality and defiance towards gender stereotypes. And he was able to be this charming and gorgeous person thanks to love (from himself, army, Bts, family) and hard work. So he has so many filters and sides of him to show and with whom attract people When I first heard filter, I was confused because the lyrics seemed to be saying the opposite of songs like Fake Love which are all about being true to yourself. But the lyrics can also be saying that a person has many sides and you can be different things at different times while still being true to yourself. Because MOTS 7 incorporates psychological themes and concepts I think filter represents how Jimin has no control or has unwillingly given others permission to choose which parts (filters) they like about him and ignore/disregard the ones they don’t like or deem “broken/damaged/or not up to standard” thus “choose your filter”, choose is a command, it’s not even a question, he’s stating that people will choose their opinions on him regardless of how hard he tries to impress everyone with different personalities(filters)-that’s my interpretation based on the concept of mots which is interconnected with mentality-personalities, eg., ego or shadow or persona for example!

@Saladita12 - Great comment, I love your interpretation that some people have different facets of themselves and it doesn't really matter what others think as long as you are true to yourself, whichever self you're expressing at the time. Your reference to male/female sides and "tattoos" are the illecebra (feminine) and arcanus (masculine) "tattoos" inked on Jimin's hands for Day2(?) of the Filter MOTS ON:E concert. Illecebra and Arcanus are both Latin words meaning allurement or enticement by magic (illecebra) and confidential, intimate, mysterious; trustworthy keeper of secrets (arcanus). He embodies both of these words particularly in this performance.

This was his way of describing the fake world celebrity is - he wasn’t actually saying that he would go as far as being anything people want…it was a ‘calling out’ of what this industry CAN (and usually does) do to artists. He definitely went through a period on debut of feeling a need to conform to an Idol stereotype but he worked through that, which is why he was able to even entertain performing a song like this.

As I understand it, he is wearing a suit under his first clothes (like special clothes), because there is a video with a cut of his rehearsals, it shows that he is trying to quickly take off his shirt and trousers and put on a jacket. I don't know who these army are who says not to sexualize them. THEY DO IT THEMSELVES CONSTANTLY!! One of the dance moves was to get in a squat and grab "around" the area of his crotch. His shirt was very unbuttoned. They do this kind of thing all the time. People who say it don't understand boundaries of when it's appropriate. Jimin's Filter performance is appropriate, Jimin waking up in the morning In The Soop not so much. Too many in this fandom don't understand context and that's a big issue.

There are a lot of fans in the fandom who zoom in on the members’ private areas or write extremely sexual content that makes other fans uncomfortable. I haven’t heard or seen you guys saying anything like that, so I personally don’t have an issue, but there are a lot of people who do and say worse in the fandom so that might’ve why people feel uncomfortable over any sexual/sensual comments made about the members.
