Gordon has absolutely been the 2nd best player on the Nuggets this post season. 2nd or 3rd best offensive player, 3rd best playmaker and the best defender. His crazy efficiency makes up for the slightly fewer points than MPJ.

Well I think they just don’t understand the deeper nuances of basketball. Some fans really only notice scoring and 1 on 1 defense . Shai averaged more points during the season, is the better 1 on 1 defender for his position and technically had the higher seed so I guess that makes sense in their heads to justify thinking Shai is better but people who really know basketball it’s obvious Jokic is the best player in the world . But also for example in the case of Shaq, he said Jokic is the best player in the world but Shai deserved MVP so that’s different than saying Shai is better, MVP in some peoples minds is not about who is actually a better individual but rather who had the more successful season.

Basketball is about getting five guys to blend as one. But they constantly talk about individuals.

stars matter but the auxillary guys have to perform. Stars do what stars do but if the auxiliary guys arent't involved and scoring you won't win a title. No star has ever done it all himself. And a lot of times on a champonship team the whole is greater than the sum of its" parts

I think the list is just how the players are playing right now not where they rank in the NBA overall. Murray has been the 3rd best player player on the Nuggets in this series and 5th most valuable behind Jokic, Ant, Gordon and Gobert .

MPJ gotta be up at least the bottom of the hill. He just didn’t shoot many shots in G4.
