@@velder22 If you take out any of the costly mistakes or bad luck (the CMC fumble, the muffed punt, the missed FG, Dre Greenlaw injury), they likely win the game. So I think he played good enough to have won 🤷‍♂️ Sure, he missed some throws, but not like Mahomes’ Super Bowl performances have all been perfect. Between him & Brock, Mahomes was the only one that turned the ball over.

I still believe Niners would have won SB with better O-Line which had collapsed in overtime leaving Purdy as a clean target for the Chiefs defense. Just watch their last attack in SB where O-Lineman without allowed pressure on Purdy who had to get rid of the ball half a second early, if he had that half a second Niners would have scored TD and game would have been won no matter Chiefs had last chance to score TD on the other side. I can`t understand how is possible in such a moment such a mistake by single O-Lineman who was watching his man pressuring Purdy totally free from beginning of the action ? Behind great O-Line even average QB could look amazing sometimes, Dak Prescot is living proof of it

Well those are some selective stats lol Purdy set those records with a roster that has more talent than any Rodgers has played on. You might say the 2010-2011. But let’s be real, Green Bay’s Defense in those years couldn’t touch the current 49ers defense. Not saying Purdy is bad, but let’s keep the context when it’s due. This is a prove it year for both of them. And when that talented offense shrinks for Purdy, it will be a prove it year again to show it wasn’t the talent around him.

@UngluedBanjo so what Purdy has a better roster that furthers my point. Rodgers doesn't have nearly as much in his favor going into this season. Also, Brock didn't have a Jerry Rice like Montana and Young or an Owens like Garcia when breaking thoae records. The facts are that he is ascending while Aaron is aging and coming off injury. His prove it season was this past year when he was named the starter and they traded Lance. How is anything I said out of context when you measure what each did last year to see how they do this year.

Rodgers is 40 coming off of an Achilles injury. Taking that into consideration, it's hard to know just how good he can truly be with that

Nick needs to go. His takes on Purdy are beyond bad. Purdy outplayed Mahoems for most of the entire game, against the far superior defense. If not for Chris Jones, Mahoems does not win that SB and it is not even close.

Idk why this isn’t brought up for context when they talk about the stats. I mean if they said “we haven’t seen a healthy Rodgers in 2 years and he’s 40 coming off a serious injury. I have a hard time believing he’s going to be healthy and/or successful with these factors, regardless of the roster.” I’d be like, ok. But the lack of genuine context makes me doubt the opinion of anyone who can’t acknowledge it’s existence because it doesn’t support their argument.

Purdy is an ascending talent whereas coming off the serious injury Rodgers is an aging declining talent who is one hit away from retirement

Everyone needs to understand that Rodgers speaks his mind and it often goes against A LOT of these mainstream employees and their puppet masters operation. @@jring383 it's not about him having an opinion, it's about him purposely diving into hot button issues and kicking the proverbial hornets nest, over and over. He's self aggrandizing and needs the attention, which is why he chooses to speak on controversial issues unprovoked because he understands no one would pay any attention to him if he didn't. For him it's by design and to Nick's point, it can cause locker room distractions. Honestly, I don't care about Aarons political leanings and I'd say me and him fall in the same spectrum but that doesn't change the fact that he's an entitled grade A diva who loves to play the victim and whine constantly. Which to me is antithetical to the entire movement. There's a reason why the majority of people that have worked with or around Aaron don't have a favorable opinion of him and it's not his stances, it's because he's a finger pointing whiney tool. At some point when everyone you deal with has the same issue with you, as a man you have to look in the mirror and accept that maybe you're the problem. Helluva a ball player though

He has 2-3 people who have publicly had an issue with him and the vast majority of his former teammates are clearly very close friends with him. Jennings, Finley, Driver are the only 3 people who’ve ever had a negative thing to say about him. But everyone ignores the fact that he’s Cobbs kids godfather, bffs with Bahktiari, Jordy Nelson, Devante Adams, Lazard, AJ Hawk, Mercedes Lewis, MVS just recently shot back publicly against the diva narrative. The only ones who can ever seem to find issue with him are largely people who have zero direct interactions with him. (Wright, Bayless, Cowherd, etc)
