Big 3 Heat, Final Boss Spurs, 73-9 Warriors, Big 3 Cavs, KD Warriors etc. By the time Harden joined a superteam of his own it broke down with injuries. Then his decline started as soon as the superteam era started to come to an end.

That's because minnesota had LESS expectations than Phoenix. Phoenix has the more legacied player in KD. NOBODY had Ant Man above Booker before the season began. Was Tracy McGrady a nobody in the NBA? Just because KD never won on his own (debatable)…. Doesn’t diminish his individual greatness. I’m a big Steph fan but he has never been without Draymond in a season, Steph is free to be who he has to be because Dray is going to get on guys for not doing stuff. Just appreciate greatness when you see it and stop with all these “debates” that’s purely based on emotions.

It's more so that Durant needed the Warriors vs Durant needed Steph. It wasn't just Steph. The Warriors had other pieces as well but more importantly what they had was a system and a clear identity on how to maximize their stars. He needed the Warriors system to win a championship. When Durant came to the Warriors those were things the Warriors already had in place. He just had to come in and be a superweapon. This is where he shines the best. All the other teams he has been on have not been that where he can just come in and the system and leadership is taken care of and he can just come in and be a superweapon.

So funny and ironic in many ways... The "superteam" era has been over since the Heat lost the finals in 2014. Ironically a player who initially critiziced the superteam philosophy and lost the 2012 finals to a superteam went on to join an already championship "non-superteam" turned it into a superteam and gained worldwide audience rejection (barring Warriors fans of course). Left that superteam (which again became a non-superteam without him, since they kept their originally drafted big 3) built another superteam in Brooklyn. Failed. Built YET ANOTHER superteam in Phoenix. Failed. KD, Bro, give it up already. I love you as a player, one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, flawless technique and knowledge of the game, but just everything went downhill after his Warriors stint which was already "controversial" in the first place. At thins point being 36+ your best bet to save your legacy is to take a leadership/mentorship role on a young developing team and hope they turn into a contender. If they don't at least you fulfilled your role and you're gonna be a hall of famer regardless. Just stop looking for shortcuts and embarrassing yourself.
