The Life Flight team touched down on the new Stanford Hospital helistop during the first test landing. As the only Level 1 Trauma Center between San Francisco and San Jose, critical care patients from throughout California will be transported to this new rooftop helistop once the hospital opens to patient care this fall. The helistop location is elevated with perimeter lighting so it's easier to see at night. Two elevators provide direct access to the Emergency Department below.
