Back when I was in Boy Scouts (many, many years ago), we used to make "Coffee Can Casserole without the Coffee Can" on our campouts. Basically the same technique, but we would add in potato slices. Definitely a great way to cook ground beef. I'm not sure I could have finished one of those burgers. They looked delicious, even without the tomato!

4 straight days of intense heat here in ohio . Burgers actually sound really good with a bit of pepper jack cheese or feta cheese mixed in 😊 . Love , hugs and prayers for you and your family ❤❤❤❤❤

I had bacon cheeseburgers for dinner tonight, traditionally grilled though. I've got to try the foil wrapped burgers. Good trip, and I'll be waiting for next week.

Hi Bill and Thank You! At home I do cook them traditionally over charcoal, but I have learned over the years that a campfire is "unpredictable" at best, LOL. So that's why I use the foil, bet even so, they do really come out pretty good! If you do give it a try, sometimes I slice up a sweet onion and put it on top of it as well. Hi Bandit! Recently my work schedule changed and I'm getting Thursdays and Fridays off versus Saturdays and Sundays currently. So that lets me go on Thursday nights. Still some campers out but not at many. Not sure how long this will go on until I'm back on the typical weekend, but NOT complaining LOL. Take Care my Friend!
