Thank you so much for this video
Icelandic eruptions are better behaved than the 2021 Cumbre Vieja volcanic eruption. It took Icelandic authorities only a few days to repair the infrastructure and build a temporary road. Hope the upcoming eruption doesn’t cause much damage. Impressive to see nature at work!
very interesting views. Thank you.
you refer several times to erosion, instead of uplift, elevation. Erosion is ablation by weathering forces.... but beautiful photography, as always :)
Curious what the background sound track (?) is from? Audio recording for other volcanic events or something else?
At 0:35 video mentions land erosion. Is this supposed to state uplift?? Or is it something else related to graben formation?

Pretty sure they mean subsidence rather than erosion - the ground is either rising or subsidising.

@@adammossbridge3304Not subsidence. Inflation and subsidence is what we geologists use. Inflation: land goes up. Subsidence: land goes down. And the land is not going doing at Svartsengi, it's experiencing continued inflation.

We’re talking about the use of the word erosion vs subsidence in the video captions. It seems like you are agreeing with me that the term subsidence is correct.

@@adammossbridge3304Ah I must have misunderstood something, then. Yes, we agree on that.
I don't think you meant land *erosion*. The land is rising, not being eroded.
What are you talking about when you refer to "land erosion"? There is no "land erosion."
