First ride on a Husky TE150 is a VCHSS RACE!

Round 12, Knock Down Hare Scramble, in the VCHSS. I finished 4th in 40B class. I got stuck on a bridge during the last lap and was passed.
Great race. I like the terrain at this location!
This was my first real ride on a Husqvarna TE 150, aside from cruising around in my yard. It actually has more torque than I anticipated. Close to my KTM 200 EXC. overall it is an amazingly light and powerful bike. Once I get around to editing my whole race I’ll try and upload. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe! Hutch

Man I was sooo slow...much faster now. I have more training with Paddy Holloway next week!
I've just got the 17 te150 w/RK head and jd jetting I'm using up a left from my 200 45 tooth stealth rear with a 13 CS sprocket. I bought it used and not sure of OEM gearing ,What do you like? I mostly ride the loop of tight single track on our 45 acres and it's OK just don't want to get out with a bunch and not have a gear for gnarly stuff. 185# in street clothes.

I have a 17 TE 300. That 150 sounds like it tractors pretty well. Great riding dude!

Scott Aubel thanks man! Next I’ll be running a RK head insert and higher octane for more power through the whole rpm range. The power to weight ratio is insane on the 150 once it gets on the pipe.

@@EnduroHutch 16:1 dome and 1mm base gasket stack? Already on my 4th insert (150 and 250w's), current is 1.5mm base gasket stack with 15:1 insert on 150 (top end screams) and can't ask for a better tight woods bike......shifting to 1mm stack with 16 insert this week, as this has been the best testing result to date, for more bottom end. Btw, Slavens blabs a bunch of negativity about RK, yet admits never riding with an RK (don't understand, is he jealous?), LOL, yet majority of KTM/Husky 2t owners love the RK inserts. The 150 is a constant test platform, lots of R&D effort....Kels knows his stuff, he won't steer you wrong.

hoptard thanks for the info. There is so much more performance to be had with me vs the bike. Mine only has 16hrs on it as of 12/2018. Bone stock. Never been apart. Just gonna toss in the RK TE/XC insert and let it rip. Any improvement in Torque will be welcomed. Hitting the gym is more of a priority for the podium in my case. I can’t hang on for 2+hrs even at 75%

So do you have to constantly do top ends on this bike since your revved out all the time?

LoudOrNothing not yet! The majority of my ride time is flowing in the woods. Definitely more revving and clutch work to get the power down.
