yessssssiiiirrrrr it is! Atleast for the recording it was lol. It actually rained really heavy that night and I couldn't record my "shredlights night ride" video I had planned. The temperature/weather has been a bit erratic too. In the morning it'll be 40 degrees F (4 degrees C) and for the ride home it'll be 70 degrees F (21 degrees C). In between we'll have a thunderstorm for an hour and have perfect weather for a few hours and then have a few thunderstorms after. NYC really wild right now lol

I know exactly how excited you are about having your scooter back. I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm waiting on some fuses to come in so I can recharge mine. So Herbie is down for the count right now, and I HATE it! Not bad though, almost 1600 miles and this is the first and only issue I've had other than the flat tires. I missed the group ride yesterday, and that really hit the heart. Lol... a Super 73 out in the wild. Ride That Tasty Wave

I'm not sure where yall are in you're riding season but I hope you got a few more coming up. 1 issue in 1600 miles is an absolute dream, congrats! As much as I enjoy my s73 and my board, my baby and favorite will always be my scooter!

I'd think you'd enjoy riding a emoto. I commute to work everyday on my Klima (not Max) and do love it to death but it's rainy season now down under and I work in a dusty industrial area and the roads are 80km/h (49mph) and dodging trucks, fist sized boulders on the bike lane and sizable wet puddles I think the E Ride Pro SS 2.0 suits my needs. It's coming early next month and I can't wait. Love your videos, mate!

thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Jason! I'm glad you've been enjoying you're time on the channel, I appreciate the support. I think I would really enjoy riding an eMoto as well, however, I haven't taken the plunge on them yet because those PEV's are in a precarious position in NYC. If I lived outside of NYC and had a home with a garage, I would've probably gotten one by now and registered it so I can ride legally. I've also looked into getting a "proper" eMoto like a Ryvid Anthem, but I have to wait until I finalize my Motorcycle License. Work has been so crazy that I haven't been able to make time to go and finalize that at the Department of Motor Vehicles in the city. They're so slow over and it's such a miserable experience, that it can reall take up your whole morning/ afternoon lol.

That's so weird that the light was the issue. I had the same brake lockup problem with the zooz but it was a sensor issue inside the lever mechanism.

thanks for watching! Yea man, it's so weird that the source of the issue was the tail light. My buddy Ed and I think it has to do with the way the chip/ wiring interacted with the sensor. We actually replaced the sensor in the lever itself 3 times and it never resolved it. But this seemed to have done the job. But we'll see!

Does the change of the tail lights covered by warranty since it's a factory defect? Because I'm also having turn signal issues with it and occasional brake sensor issues even with the new sensors. Also, are you looking into getting the front turn signal/daytime running light kit?

  • @eyebahnrides

    @eyebahnrides

    2 ай бұрын

thanks for joining us for this ride! Personally, I had to pay for this upgrade and I did so willingly. The reason is, I declined to purchase a Gen2 version of the Klima Max that was available at FFR at the time despite their warnings. I also knowingly purchased the Gen1 that was known to have the issue because I hated the rear fender so much and I was just praying I wouldn't have it lol. I had my sensors replaced 3 times before I did the tail light upgrade. I'm not sure what it is about the LED strip but I've read in the forums that it's basically the source of all the issues lol. I'll keep yall posted if this update finally resolved the issue like I was told it would. I'm thinking about getting the front turn signal and the DTR light but I'm just waiting to see how that works out for those getting it. I finally got the Klima to where it's perfect and I don't want to accidentally add a new issue lol

  • @McSlaine

The rear light strip just stopped working on my Klima, i paid a bit more for the new fender with light and the brake sensor issue is gone too. It's also VERY bright, gotta remember to turn it off if i have to run from the cops. I also bought some PVC glue and stuck the fender from the back onto the front fender to make it longer so it throws the water coming from the tyre downwards to the road and not up in front. (got that trigger throttle too).

@@eyebahnrides Hi again. The next best thing to riding my own Klima, is watching other people do it and having fun. The new throttle is for sure better than the stock thumb throttle, it has a bit too much dead zone for my liking, but because i have PAS functtion turned off, it's maybe better that way, so i'm not going to tinker with it. I've thought sometimes that it has a bit of creep too, getting a bit faster, even though my finger is steady but i would think that would come from the controller and not the throttle. I think optimum would be a twist throttle, can't find a three pin HAL throttle anywhere though. The mudguards (fenders over there) have been a "work in progress" since i got the scooter, I've put a rubber bicycle fender extender on the bottom of the front one to keep the bottom of the battery box cleaner. Put a little square bit of truck tarpaulin over the gap between the two back ones. And now, stuck the extra one from the back onto the front one to make it longer, so that it points downwards towards the ground. I've noticed that my new semi-offroad tyres throw up a lot less water than the stock "almost slicks" when it rains too, which is a positive side-effect. Keep on keepin on McSlaine.

Thanks for watching Craig! I was hoping to have the same experience that you have with the "lightstrip" version of the Klima. Unfortunately, mine came with all the issues that folks ran into with the LED strip. You don't have to worry about it throwing you off because all it does is "kill the motors" while you're riding. So you'll all of a sudden experience a loss of power vs. experiencing a hard stop like the brakes engaging. I hope that you never have to encounter it just because that carbon fender must look soooooo good compared to the tail light fender lol. I made this video becauseI just wanted to make sure that I was transparent about my experience with the Klima. I still really love the scooter and this didn't negatively impact my experience. I hated the way the tail light looked but it is growing on me the more I see it lol.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that you had to change to the ugly tail lights but I'm happy to hear that you'll finally be able to ride with some peace of mind. My regen/ motor braking is always on the higher side because I like the way it helps me stop sooner. Generally the higher the setting the higher my regen. For example, I have it set on 5 on X mode where all my settings are maxed. I have it set on 4 on C mode where it's dropped down a little. I have it set on 3 on S mode where everything is somewhere in the middle. I hope this helps!

thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome back to the comments section. I average about 10 miles per day on a round trip commute to the city. On that ride, I average between 15-25mph with occasional opportunities to do 40mph. There's also a lot of stop and go because of the city traffic. With all that said, I use about 20-25% battery per day. At around 210lbs with gear and my bag full for work, I get about 40-50miles of real world commuting. With the original Burn E, I averaged about the same because I also pushed harder since the scooter was capable of more lol. With more self control, I'm sure I could've gotten more. I hope this helps!

Does the newest version of the Klima have problems with the brake sensors? Also, do they get flats frequently? That's my 2 concerns, I wish they have self healing tires so I don't have to worry about flats. If the problems are still not fixed, I'd go with the Phantom V4X

thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel Tri. Apologies for the delayed response. Life has been pretty crazy lately but I'm finally catching up with KZread. The newest (2nd generation) Klimas don't have the issues with the brake light. Apparently the LED strip was causing some type of issue with the brake sensors so replacing them fixed the issue completely. The 2nd generation Klimas will all have the new rear fender with the integrated tail light and that's great news for all the owners. As stated in the video, I feel a bit silly for choosing the "cool looks" of the Gen 1 Klima with LED brake lights over a fixed Gen 2. As for flats, Im not sure how "puncture resistant" the CST tires are compared to others. I've only gotten one flat over the last 1300 miles and that's because I ran over a nail that was placed in the bike path to do harm. Luckily, I had Armor Dilloz and it held up long enough to get me to a shop. I had to change PMT tires 4 times over 2000 miles when I had them on the burn E. I've also heard of "self healing" tires not really working from the Wolf Warrior guys so it's hard to tell what works and what doesnt. That type of thing really comes down to the areas that you ride in. 99% of the time I'm riding on roads/ bike paths. I hope this helps!

How do you like your Klima vs some of the other 72v scooters you’ve ridden? Pros vs cons

thanks for watching! Honestly, the Nami Klima keeps up with the best of them. From a torque and acceleration standpoint, it definitely doesn't leave you wanting. You only really feel like you want more when you hit the 36-43 mph zone and you're trying to keep up with faster PEVs, but for everyday commuting it's perfect. Initially, i thought the power delivery is a bit jumpy compared to something like the original Nami Burn E that I had. I felt like I had better control over the Burn E at lower speeds with all the settings maxed out on X mode. However, overtime, I feel like I have the same control over the Klima. It just took a few hundred miles to get used to. Despite that, I think the Klima inspires alot of confidence in the ride with how stable it is and how easy it is to get used to. The only real thing that I miss from the bigger 72v beasts is the size of the deck and the larger tires. I enjoy the Klima so much that I haven't even thought about going back to a 72v scooter. When we move to a home and I have a garage or I find a garage to rent here in NYC, I may add a 72v scooter to the fleet. That scooter will most likely only be used for long range high speed group rides.

@@eyebahnrides Very cool... Thank you for the reply. I have Klima with 1400 or so miles... Really enjoy it... I only wish it had a larger battery and bigger tires... But other than that it's pretty much perfect IMO.

    Does fluid ship to finland?

I don't think they do because the cost of shipping from the US would be extremely expensive. Your best bet for securing a scooter would be finding an EU/ UK based distributor like @rideglide. It'll be more cost effective to ship to you since they're thousands of miles closer!

Nami frames will always be made from reinforced aluminum. As for the Namis breaking, I don't know what these people are doing to the scooter to cause such a failure. Only feasible answer would be repeated high stress jumps and crashes. If you're talking about the aluminum vs steel steering column. Those upgrades were available for order and should be remedied for the newer models. I work in the sales of high end mechanical products and I will tell you that there's always more to the story than what the person is letting off. I've ridden my nami scooters hard for thousands of miles on the really rough NYC roads and plenty of users across the world have ridden thousands of kms and never encountered those issues. Now I'm not saying that it's not possible because the majority never encountered it. All I'm saying is there's usually a deeper reason behind the problem. I hope this helps clarify a few things.

thanks for watching and welcome to the channel. Congrats on starting the channel and congrats on posting the first video. Best two tips I have is: 1. Be consistent. Things will never be perfect and having a schedule you can commit to will prevent you from overthinking the videos. If you say you're gonna post once a week just do it at the same time every week. If you say every two weeks, stick to that. 2. Always find something to improve. Regardless how much of a masterpiece or piece of sh*t we think we have there's always something to improve. Enjoy the process and your time with your community.

No way in hell im putting those horrible amazon looking rear lights lol. I know its to get rid of the braking sensor issue but no im not putting that on my klima looks awful. i do get the brake sensor issue maybe once a month but i easily get rid of it by messing with that little nut on the thread under the brake lever. I dont crank it all the way tight because that won't make it go away has to be a little bit lose to the point when i dont need a tool for that all i do is just use my fingures to twist it. But yea on my klima i rarely see the brake sensor icon i just make sure that little nut isnt super tight. Like if im riding it and the scooter stalls out on me because of the sensor all i do is stop the scooter kick down the kick stand and mess with the little nut until i know for sure is gone the sensor icon. I don't need a little ranch tool or robo grip for that little nut thingy all I do is just twist it with my fingure.😊

Hahaha all good. I don’t mind it now that it’s on there. Having the motor braking to supplement the brakes is worth the change in appearance
