To answer your questions yes Immortal Song 2 is a competition show but only the most vocally talented or seasoned artists are invited to honor legends and sing their songs in competition to get first place as voted by the audience that’s what you guys have been seeing Sohyang and Ailee appear on as well

Jake Reeves you are wrong on that statement ... they often invite rookie singers and groups SeungYeon was not seasoned and a rookie from The Voice Korea her first appearance MaMaMoo were rookies as are and were many solo artists and groups ... even ALi the Queen of the show was relatively unknown her first appearance on the show ... They all .. in time .. have become seasoned and famous but to say only seasoned and famous appear on the show is misinformation I have watched every episode since the show began and know this for a fact.

Richard Gamache I was referring to the fact that she had already gotten 1st place in the voice Korea and attended a year or two at Berklee school of music before appearing on immortal song 2 she wasn’t just some Joe Schmoe off the street

Richard Gamache I’m pretty sure these guys don’t really care anyways and Son Seungyeon had already won the title of 1st place on the voice I consider that elite but ok

A side note Son SeungYeon just recently surpassed So Hyangs 6 wins on King of Mask Singer with 8 wins becoming second in wins only to Music Captain who has 9 and first in wins for women on the show

shay ry So Hyang has throat conditions and pneumonia almost all the time too. It is not known how many times she would have won if she didn't have to go to the consert.

I went to that concert at Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Cugamunga she was amazing as always ... That being said So Hyang being who she Humble Honest and God Fearing would not deliberately throw a competition ... her cover of Day Day was amazing and her best effort ...the show is decided by audience votes so it must have been a conspiracy of enormous measure for her to convince 100 audience members and the panelist to vote against her so she could make her concert and not have it all over the news social media and under knetizen scrutiny (go figure) ... Lastly the show is filmed in one day and aired over 2 weekends leaving one weekend free ... she could have easily been to L.A. and back over a weekend and filmed the next. You are disparaging her name and image by insisting she "threw" the competition.

Jason Kim well sohyang has to forfeit in order to rest for her concert that was two weeks away. She would’ve won KOMS if she didn’t have a concert.
