SB19 is the first south East Asian group I like a lot.

SB19 Members 1. Pablo: leader, main rapper, lead vocalist. He writes and composes most of their songs. He also co-produces them. He has his own solo songs too. 2. Josh: lead rapper and sub-vocalist. He helps in the graphic design of their concerts. He writes and co-produces his own solo songs. The oldest. 3. Stell: main vocalist and lead dancer. He choreographed most of their dance routines. He also helps in the vocalizations. 4. Ken: main dancer, lead vocalist and lead rapper. He also helps Stell in choreographies. He has a deep @ss voice but also can hit high notes. He writes and co-produces his own solo songs too. 5. Justin: lead vocalist. He is the creative director of the group and helps in making the music videos. He is the youngest of the group.

MAPA - literally translates to map in English but also Ma (Mom) and Pa (Dad) - they are like our map who provided us guidance. Ma (Mata translates to eyes) which they used to describe the mom as their eyes, and Pa (Paa which means feet) which they used to describe the dad you are my feet. Mapa was created because of the conversation they had while doing their laundry during their tour. Since they are on world tour then, they don't see their parents much and they missed them. After that Pablo created this song

The "Father" mentioned in the "What" video means the Almighty God, not their literal fathers (Dad).

They did some Kpop vocal and dance cover...But their songs are all in Tagalog, English and Bisaya language... ShowBT Philippines is the company which are managed and owned by Koreans...they are not trained in Korea but here in the Philippines for 4 long years .....But because of some issues they decided to build their own company and that's 1Z Entertainment and Pablo, the leader of SB19 is the CEO of that said Entertainment...

SB19 don't stick to one genre. They like to explore so you will find their music very diverse and not sounding the same. They are very exploratory and they are live vocal Monsters. You will be amazed when you watched their love performances because they are so good. I especially enjoy their live performances than the studio version since they like to alter some parts of their songs in different performances and they are good with ad-libs, harmony and pitch.

Their feature on AAA was an excellent opportunity to introduce them to more people (like yourself). SB19 is our prestige PPOP group. Broad strokes purposes, they are our version of BTS; many struggles, poverty, despair, etc. but their art saved them, and in a way, many of us.

if you would notice that in the end of Gento there were aliens talking about "what color is their love" it was basically a call to their ALAB MV where the girl spoke korean asking what color is your love. They were still in a korean company before and now they are self managed within their own self built company and they proudly went away from all that to be who they really want to be and show who they are which is GENTO (like this) in the MV. not taking things too seriously and just wanna have fun making music and performing even if some people think they arent great and just copycats

Thank you for your RV to our dear SB19❤. To help you familiarize who is who, using the GENTO video, Pablo (the cook) their leader and composes most of their songs; Josh (Gucci guy); Stell ( shower guy); Justin ( guy with the dog) and lastly Ken ( bass voice, the one with the snake). He uses the name Ken when he is with SB19, but when he does his solo projects he uses his real name Felip. SB19 has a diverse and multi-genre repertoire so it will be fun knowing more of their artistry. It is good you started with their MV's or lyric videos, that way you get their english cc. Pablo is such a gifted lyricist and loves to use wordplay in their songs to convey its deeper meaning. MAPA is my personal favorite and it was the song that lead me to them. You have to find the MAPA band version where they collabed with the band Ben&Ben, that is a very good live performance. Sb19 is even better on their live performances, you can find their performances on Wish 107.5 or on WishUSA. Their live stage performances and concerts are so worth watching whereby you see more of their vocal prowess, choreography amd showmanship. It's the dance video of this song that made their name known, literally overnight. It's a bit humble, but all their success right now sparked from this song. You might want to watch both the MV and the dance video of this. - MANA - if you like their grungy side, you'll be an instant fan of MANA. Unfortunately, there's neither MV nor lyric video of this yet (shame actually considering it's one of their more popular songs and it's even included in their AAA performance medley). However, they do have A LOT of live performances of this one. Choose the ones from their concerts or from PPopCon 2022. - LIHAM and ILAW - two of their emotional songs (one's a ballad and the other isn't exactly a ballad but is as vocally-oriented as a ballad). These 2 are some of the more popular songs in their latest EP besides GENTO. Not gonna lie, their latest EP called "PAGTATAG" is actually full of banger songs. These 2 in particular are by far their most vocally challenging songs. In fact, these songs are up there in the most challenging songs in the national-level, which says a lot because the Philippines is a country known for its quality and high-level vocalists and belters. Gento is a satire hence yhe funny moments, full of so many Filipino elements, idioms, saying or proverbs and nuances delivered so intelligently. Hope you can discover more of their music story, vlogs, varieties and their live performances on The Wish Bus and live stage performances are top notch, they known as Live Vocal Kings for a reason. Their new EP Pagtatag, Gento is the Title track has 5 more songs that are simply amazing. Almost 99% of their songs are written by Pablo the Leader. 5 singer, 5 rapper and 5 dancers and each has special talent to bring in the group! Self produced and managed! They are amazing live, and they've shown their versatility across the board. in 41:40 you mention the end of Gento with the aliens. If you think back to the Alab (Burning) video, it ends with "What color is your love?". Gento ends with a tongue in cheek "Pre, what color is your love" ("pre" is short for "pare" which is like saying the slang "man" or "mate" or "friend"). This ending is possibly a bit of satire about their early days when they were managed under a Korean company (the aliens) who didn't understand what they had in this group and not realizing that they had struck gold.

I was totally surprised with this RV. I love how musically educated you are. You deserve more Subs. So I’m just gonna talk more about the songs you reacted. 1. Alab- Yes the Emo guy was Ken(singing pre chorus). This song is part of their 1st album. The era where they are under the Korean agency. The music came from korean producers but the lyrics are made by SB19, mostly Pablo. The last MV coz of Covid. 2. What?- the big comeback just after Covid. Part of their 2nd Album called Pagsibol-meaning Sprouting in English. They are still under the Korean company but they have more freedom when it comes to producing and writing their own music. this was the era where they are introducing who they really are. “the father” they are referring in here is “God”. 3. Mapa-part of the 2nd album. The song was made through a Laundry routine where they were just talking about how they miss their parents since the boys are living together during these times. 4. Gento- the 1st track of the 3rd album “Pagtatag”- Establishing in english where they already establish who they are. They are Self Managed now. And if you notice the “alien part “what color is your love?” is the same phrase on the ending of alab. was it mockery? you decided. Can’t wait for you to check out their Live Performances. Ama which was translated as Father in "Father you are my amulet" in the song What - Ama also means Father - the almighty father (GOD). So it could also mean - GOD you are my amulet that is why their choreo on this part of the song is like praying.

That's a nice RV! Honestly I'm kinda a new fan of SB19 (prolly around May last year) but I feel like I've known them my whole life... and regret so much why I only started stanning them now 😭I knew them already before but chose to ignore them cause I thought they are like kpop wannabes but boy I was so wrong. What actually made me wanna watch them was because I keep seeing their funny videos (interviews) on Tiktok. Seriously their personalities are so genuine... it's so real and they are so funny! Then I decided to listen more to their songs... and it's so.... best decision ever. Like they create such a goooood music plus their genuine and humorous side?! IM SO LUCKY 😭 Anyway sorry for the kinda out of topic comment but what I wanna say is, I hope you try to get to know them more better (aside from their music) because they are really good people 😢they deserve all love and blessings. You should see/hear them live. They have a lot of live performances via fancams and Wish Bus (internet radio station in the Philippines and the USA, which btw do not copyright reactions). They are more captivating when you see them live. Mapa have triple meaning in this song --- MAma and PApa/MAta (eye) and PAa (feet) and the literal meaning which is map. They do write all their songs, are self-managed, all 5 can dance, sing, play musical instruments and have solo projects in addition to their SB19 projects. No weak member in the group. They are called live vocal monsters because when they perform live, they always bring the energy, passion and fire. Their ballads is as good as their upbeat songs. Their lyricism is also good.
