He is a Filipino international ship captain. Filipinos seamen are the backbone of the shipping industry worldwide. 60-70% of seafarers are Filipinos, just like nurses around the world where 50% are Filipinos. He was not there when his wife was dying. He is still onboard but insists on going home to take care of his wife. He bought his own ticket but unfortunately, he was too late! That's the sadness of being an overseas Filipino worker, or OFW, especially for seamen. Just like me! 😭😭

My Dad is Chinese and my Mom is Filipina. I have attended many funeral wakes. What I see is that Asian can look stoic and emotionless duri g the funeral. While the corpse of the loved one is in the wake, it feels like the diseased is still around. The most difficult moment is when the casket of the diseased is about to be laid in the tomb and covered with earth. That's the moment when the crying is at its loudest. This man is talki g to his wife like she is still around. It is very Filipino.

Sometimes life is sad. The husband is brave enough to complete the performance of this song so filled with emotion. The spirit of his wife must be watching him during that moment in tears. They'll meet again in a place where there's no space or time, another dimension.

i am a filipino... judging from the picture, it probably was the last night for his wife's wake and her funeral was on the morrow... which could explain some of the lyrics like "leaving tomorrow" or the like... the scene was probably in a funeral parlor, although here in the philippines, wakes are usually held in the residence of the deceased... the last night of the wake is usually a "celebration of the life" of the deceased, which is probably why the husband sang to his wife, like serenading her...

You can just TELL that he’s beside himself with grief but this would be his way of expressing his sadness over the loss of his beloved wife 🌅🕊️♥️🌅. If he had kids, he probably wanted to be a pillar of strength for his family during their time of sorrow 😢😢😢. Absolutely beautifully done ✊😔

I’ve only been married for just under 4 years & can honestly say there’s NO WAY I could do this as I would be too distraught 😢😢😭😭. My wife & I have 1 child & another on the way & we hope to be around long enough to see them grow up, go to university (if desired) & maybe have kids of their own before we “leave”. To the man in this video… Nothing BUT respect & admiration for his bravery, his love for his beloved wife & & incredible voice ✊😔🕊️

How many times I watched this video and how many times that I cried I did remember my mom sister who passed away and one the most broke my heart when my youngest brother waiting his name to be called to pick up his visa to come over in USA he felt down sent him hospital but dead on arrival it's so heart breaking 💔 crying this video sing his funeral of his wife 💔
