First Power Test of the Diy Twin Jetdrive Motorized Electric Surfboard: p11

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is the first power test of the diy twin jetdrive motorized electric surfboard. I recieved the two SSS56104 electric motors and water jackets from MHZ Watercraft and installed them into the electric surfboard now its time to test this Jetboard for the first time. Lets see how it performes in the water while checking the current/Amp draw. This is a twin motor direct drive electric jetsurf covered in carbon fibre and running on lithium/25v lipo batteries to start with.I am looking to build a powered e surfing board that can stand up to some of the best electric motor jet boards out there. Being a homemade electric surfboard there are alot of factor's to consider so In these tutorial's i go through pretty much each process in crafting a double waterjet powered jet surfboard so that it can help other's also interested in building there own personal watercraft.

I have tested a lot but need to upgrade the speed controllers as I have a limited throttle and a pulsing type effect in the power. Some issues to sort out.

56104-550kv motor is designs for high voltage using, looking in the motor specs. Try to builds high voltages battery pack and replace the ESCs to get maximum power of these motors (at least 60V system). My minimum suggestions : 10kW battery power to using 2 jets system 14s*4.2v * 170A = 9.996w (14s ~ 58.8 volts, 40Ah to 50Ah Li-ion or Li-po high discharge battery ) 60V 150A ESC * 2 Also it's really a nice board design & built!

Great choice on motors! I have the same in my project with MHZ jets. I would assume that the fluctuation in power is due to the cheaper ESCs. I have cheaper ESC and feel the same.

Hey thanks the motors feel powerful and I wanted to get going on 25v first but it's like there is not enough top rpm because of the fluctuating power, it gets worse as it warms up so I am going for better escs so I can also up the voltage. Just need some more money first.

@@thewaysider7774 that makes sense, I have a 12s system and have plenty of power. Now I am trying to have the system water sealed completely. Proving it be very difficult. This project is definitely not cheap either. I used a few Lipo batteries for testing. Haven’t gotten 18650s for the long term solution yet.

@@micahkoelmeyer1519 Hey yeah i am looking at getting new esc's to run on 12s also and if all is good will be making a battery some time. i am currently re- designing the jet drives to start with a better system all round. the water issue is solved i think but hate all the silicone so will be ripping them out soon even before i ride as i need slightly less vibration also, its not bad but i am a perfectionist i guess. Thanks for the comment. Keep me posted on your build.

Hello! This is a very interesting thing! Did you measure the engine thrust in kg? How much did you get? Factory jetboards have +/- 60kg

Hi no I haven't I will but I have a problem with the esc's it's some kind of a pulsing when it gets warm so when I get that fixed I will run more tests. Any ideas are welcome.
