There is also an adjustment screw on the bottom of the spray gun barrel, that can be adjusted for flow rate.

Good introduction! Learning about powder coating. Going to invest along side with my welding experience.

Thanks. I took up welding as a hobby. There’s another video on organizing on my channel that, at the 7 minute mark, shows a portable welding cart that I made out of a toolbox.

Great oven build, and good to see a first attempt on the cups. They looked great for a first go. It is good to see someone letting others see the mistakes and successes as they happen. Thank you. ATEX compliant and dust tight to IP6X, provided with suitable filtration to avoid possible combustion of the powder?

Drill a hole through your mounting plate. Add a bolt to hook your clip on.. also a lazy Susan is very handy

You go by the part temp not the oven temp. When the part hits 400 then start your 20 mins. Powder wont cure 100% by going by just oven temp.

I have the same Harbor Fright P.C Gun as you do. I did not want to purchase more canisters from Harbor Freight so I purchased the plastic bottles from East wood with the different size "Smaller Neck" and removed the original cap on the gun from Harbor Freight "One Screw" centered the Eastwood Bottle cap and outlined where it needed to be cut to fit. Once I had it ready to screw in I added a Little hot glue where the cap seated and threw away the Harbor Freight Canisters and then when I am done with a Powder all I have to do is put on the cap for the powder and store it for next time. Also, make sure You put a ? Masking Tape, what color you have in the bottles of Powder. Also, there is on ebay a smaller tip that screws on to the end of the threaded rod at the tip of the gun that allows you to get into indentations in your project without a ton of buildup around the area to be filled on your project. I use the very small round button for small projects. Jim "P" Jenuine-Motor-Cox Cox Engines Rock, Best Place to Purchase Your Powder in small tester sizes Columbia Coatings.

might be a good idea to get an earth strap for a car , those are usually 1 wide braded kopper ribbon , make a loop with it around the holder of the part you want to rotate and the eartclamp for the powdercoatgun should stay on a little better could allso put the clamp on a metal plate under the holder , but then the plate gets covered on powder too should experiment a little with the times in the oven and the temperature , when the paint gets too hot or stays in too long the surface sumtimes gets a little rough

You can preheat before you put in the item or just start your timer when the oven reaches temp. Temp is based on the powder requirements.

Unless you can filter out anything that’s not powder, I guess you could. Usually people use a box or container to spray, that would make it easier.

I'm not sure, haven't tried that. As long as you don't interfere with its conductive properties, it would be worth a try.

I think the paint could act as an insulator, and interfere with conductivity.

Maybe lay down a clean sheet of plastic to catch the powder and then you might be able to re use it.

I would not suggest reusing powder that hits the ground I would only use a virgin powder. Coming from a buisness Stand point

There are, also, plenty of warnings against vacuuming the powder up due to motor spark risk. It is the same theory as a saw mill; the cloud that is formed by the powder is very combustible. There is a great video by a fire department, on KZread that, demonstrates this with the powder paint.

That Harbor Freight gun sucks bad. You wasted enough powder to have done 5 cups.
