I was treated for stage 3 Nodular Melanoma with Yervoy (ipilimumab) starting in 2016. The treatments were very very tolerable. I'm still cancer free in Jan '23! Edit: Feb, '24.

Good to know immuno works for some and happy your free from it 😊. unfortunately I did a course of pembrolizumab last year but it's still growing in my leg, side effects hit me big time. Joint pain. Rheumatoid arthritis, loss of appetite, heartburn, sickness and very low cortisol levels. Now I'm waiting on an isolated limb Infusion (high dose of chemo in my leg)

Is stage 0 melanoma a candidate for ipilimumab as far as you know?

In 1975 my mother lost her 3 year fight with melanoma after it traveled to her brain. She left behind a %rown son and 4 children age 7, twins age 5, and age 3. We were put in a children's home. I am so glad for these advances in treatment.

Dec 2020 I was diagnosed with stage four metastatic melanoma in my liver and one lung. March 2021 started immunotherapy with Opdivo & Yervoy. My second time infusion I had a severe auto immune response. It attacked my intestines. Spent over a week in the hospital. In May I ended up in the ER. They almost lost me. Took eight units of blood. Spent a couple months in the hospital and rehab. I had emergency surgery and wore a colostomy bag for a year. The cancer went into remission. If it returns my oncologist says he would just use Opdivo. If I had to do again I wouldn't of done immunotherapy. I would of looked for another treatment. I only had two immunotherapy sessions. Just be aware if you elect immunotherapy watch out for any bad response to it.

"The trial met its primary endpoint, progression-free survival (PFS), and Opdualag more than doubled the median PFS when compared to nivolumab monotherapy, 10.1 months (95% Confidence Interval [CI]: 6.4 to 15.7) versus 4.6 months" you get 10 months. these people suck.
