First Night With New Puppy | What It Was Really Like | Golden Retriever Puppy

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Hey everyone! We just got our new golden retriever puppy and this was our first night with him! He was such a good boy and cried every time when he wanted to go out to potty. Unfortunately, that was about every two hours, so we did not get much sleep. It's a good thing he's cute!

    I just stumbled across your channel and like it. This is the 2nd post I have watched, having watched you picking up Wrangler. Such a gorgeous little boy. Mum is a nurse, and so Wrangler is indeed fortunate, as Nurses are nurturers. I am nearly 75yo and have had dogs most of my life, until 31st March, 2019, when my last dog died. I decided that at my age it was probably not fair to get another dog, as I know I would worry about her/him in the event of me predeceasing her/him. Dogs are amazing and have given me so much joy and love over the years. Enjoy your precious little baby, cheers.

    Dogs really are the best and give us more love and joy than we probably deserve. We've only had Wrangler for a couple months and we're already so obsessed. I hate to hear that you aren't able to have another dog, but I hope watching Wrangler brings a little bit of that joy to you.

    @@WranglerPaws "Dogs really are the best and give us more love and joy than we probably deserve." Wow never heard that before, but I think you are "spot on", most certainly in regard to the dog owners who do not give their pets good care and love. And YES, I do get a lot of satisfaction and fun looking at you guys with Wrangler, as well as other "KZreadr" doggie posts. BTW, it is also so refreshing to read your comments, which are so well punctuated, etc. So much easier to read versus those with no "full stops" etc. But then again you are a NURSE, a member of a very "noble profession", which a lot of the time does not get the credit that it deserves. Take care all 3 of you, cheers.

    Easyer: Get an "old" clock which still makes "tick, tock" and lay it next to him! He doesn't have the feeling to be alone anymore! The "Tick, Tock" reminds him of the heartbeat of his mother!

    He needs to be conditioned to having his mouth examined and cleaned. So it’s not a struggle when he goes to the doggy dentist.

    For every month of age a rule of thumb is for each month of age that's how many hrs they can go without going for a pee , your pup is 2 months? So that's 2 hrs , your time frame in video where he had to go pee every 2 hrs at night is perfect example

  • @WranglerPaws

    @WranglerPaws

    That's a good rule of thumb! Thinking back on his potty training that's kinda what it came out to.

    You're brushing your pup's teeth the first day he's with you? I guess he feels like he's living in a torture chamber! You could have waited until he gets used to his new surroundings.

    Gotta start them early. People don't give dogs enough credit, they can mentally handle the idea of getting their teeth cleaned.

    I agree that we are not vets; just dog owners. It's worth pointing out however that the teeth brushing was around 9pm and he didn't cry from it. He did cry around midnight because he had to pee, very common thing for puppies with small bladders.

    Why are you trying to brush your puppy’s teeth? There are other means by which you can look after your dog’s dental health that won’t require sticking a human toothbrush into a young dog’s mouth. Or is this just for views? Either way, educate yourselves.

    Brushing your dogs teeth is completely safe and practiced by many people. I would argue that you do not have a proper daily routine in place for your dogs health if you feel this way. Brush your dogs teeth if you care about their overall health.
